Cons: "I knew going into this flight that it was going to be a Mid East meal selection, the flavors are not typically what I eat.. With that being said it just didn't agree with my stomach (That's all I will say as it could get graphic.) It would be nice if the airline offered you options to purchase from an inflight menu so that you're able to cater to your tastes or body issues. I found that during my 26+ hour journey after all travel was said and done I wasn't able to really eat anything. :( Lesson learned, I will definitely plan ahead. Comfort on a 15 hour flight and then on a 5 hour flight were pretty standard for flying coach.. You're not going to sleep well even if you take Z Quill or any other sleep aid unless you have the money to fork out for business/first class. Saving grace is the blankets that were provided. Our flights on the return to the states however where not as enjoyable. Qatar security confiscates water even if it is unsealed at that gate and the airline did not provide near enough to help keep passengers hydrated. Again the food was not a hit for us. Matters where made even worse that both my boyfriend and I both ended up with sensitive tummies during our stay in Sri Lanka.. We literally could only eat the rolls that were offered with the meals. Again would be nice if we had the option to buy, which we did ask about. Long story short, I believe we would not fly Qatar again."

Getting screened at the Doha Airport was like a nightmare...a huge herd of hundreds of people sort of (but not quite, thankfully) getting pushed along, just a frantic scene, chaotic, nerve-wracking. If they spent more money on making that part of the experience more humane, for everyone, and less money on the glitz-y duty-free zone, maybe the airport would not have a sour taste in my mouth."

Cons: "Had a layover in Toronto. From Toronto we flew to Istanbul and then Venice. While waiting in line to board in Toronto, I was told my carry-on luggage was too big and needed to be put under. I asked MULTIPLE times where my luggage would be- either Istanbul or Venice (final destination) and EVERY time I asked, I was told my luggage would be waiting for me in Venice. Once we arrived in Istanbul I asked AGAIN if my carry-on luggage was here or if it would be in Venice and I was told it would be in Venice. Once we arrived in Venice, my luggage was nowhere to be found. The lost luggage crew (and 90% of the people in Venice) were completely rude and acted like we were a huge inconvenience for them. (I've heard that many Europeans cannot stand Americans, but we were not being rude or obnoxious at all to anyone- we just wanted a quiet, romantic vacation.) So safe to say that it was an extremely rough start. We were in Venice for the Glass Art Society Conference in Murano and due to my luggage being lost, had missed the first day and a half, therefore wasting hundreds of dollars. Luckily my boyfriend's phone worked in order to spend our first two days of vacation (not to mention the amount of money spent on international calling costs) tracking down my luggage, but again dealt with completely rude people who barely helped us with any answers and even hung up on us multiple times (and I'd like to add that despite my frustration, I made sure that I was not speaking rudely one bit). The best answers we received were from the people at the Istanbul airport who told us that Venice received my luggage hours before I even called Istanbul- which I do not understand why the Venice airport did not tell me this because I spent all day speaking with them. Once I called back the Venice airport to confirm what the Istanbul airport told us, they said (once again rudely) that they called me on my phone but did not answer (which I already told them that my phone did not have any service and to call my boyfriend's phone number). So to sum up: I will never be flying to Venice ever again."

I was delayed over 12 hours, missed two connections and given the runaround about getting a place to stay for the night. The shuttle service provided took another hour at 2am! $47 to cover four meals and no mention of flight credit on my first leg for the HUGE inconvenience. A direct flight to Budapest a 27 hours after the fact is the best they could do and wanted to charge me a change fee too!! My vacation is cut short by this mess and my travel companions already in country are waiting on me to get their trip started. I will not be using Air Canada or Turkish air until they can communicate between one another and provide at least average customer service. So, it's safe to say that it will be the 12th of NEVER when I fly Air Canada"

Went to their office at Pearson and they had no clue as well. Two days before the flight they called to tell me my dog can't fly due to unknown reasons and created a MAJOR nightmare. I paid $400 for papers and cage for the dog only. Very very unprofessional and will NEVER fly with Turkish Airlines again!!!"

Demanded that I except any and all alcohol to give to her to drink. When I am tea total she then continued to abuse me. So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

With the current layout, even with an aisle seat, I was sitting in the aisle. And I am not a large person! The flight was full, so use the 787 and two daily non-stops. For a twelve hour flight, the food was only Okay, could have been better and with a better selection. Meal timing was poor."

So we arrived later about 50 minutes so I had to manage my situation and find my next gate and be on time. And an other thing that I disliked was that I was allowed to have only one baggage which was very unusual for international flight between two countenances. And the crew was not polite enough so she made fun of my Cary-on. In short, I expected more from KLM which is famous for them being "Royal" but not acting as one of them."
Letting us know our 8am flight would be 3 hours late, every flight of theirs was late by hours. Seems like it’s the same everyday. We could have slept in another couple hours easily instead of coming to the airport at 6am.

Flight was delayed but lands at Heathrow and had water and crisps on the flight which were complimentary!
I was never even on the flight because British Airways does not even operate out of Nairobi anymore. Why did they allow me to purchase a ticket to fly out of Nairobi when they do not even exist there anymore. I had to purchase an additional ticket with another airline just to arrive home. Terrible!

Finallly they said the boarding was delayed to catering and cleanning, which I could not believe since the plane has been on a tarmac close to an hour. Passengers were lining up to board, but one of the gate agent kept asking to sit down without giving any reason. Probable one of the worst boarding experience I have ever had in international flights."

Then after all that the bag is lost. I fly foreign often and Food was mediocre."

His inept handling of rescheduling my family caused us to not only be split up in our flight from London to Vienna, but the majority of us had to wait 10 hours for the next flight. He could've rescheduled us together, but instead he ignored my sister's request to do so, rudely told us to get back in line, and rescheduled another family on the same flight as my sister, thus eliminating our seats together, and forcing her to travel alone."
