The landing was a little rough fit the size and weight of the plane we made it .
crowded in airport but that was expected had to stand for almost an hour while they prepped th e plane' same one as i came in on' so needed to clean and what ever they need to do between flights all in all was alright nice staff so no complaints
The transfer in Toronto for my connection , was a close call. The custom lines were long . More time needed between flights for no issue for connecting flight.

Because I was travelling alone, I was asked if I would move to accommodate someone with a pet carrier that would not fit under the seat they were in. Our party of four had our luggage spread through THREE different planes. WTH? No customer service at DTW once we arrived and there were so many livid people. Absolutely awful. We were supposed to arrive at 5PM and it's now 3:11AM. My son just completed filing a luggage claim loss. And we are off to drive home to Grand Rapids two hours away. Nightmare."

I could never get through to anyone and there is no info on your tickets about the cost of a third bag. I was charged an extra $500.00 for two extra bags that were carrying donated supplies to help the animals. But your airline made it a useless endeavor because they ended up costing more than they were worth. The people at the gate were unbending and I'm so disappointed that it is more important to you to make money than help non-profit organizations. I have run Isla Animals for 15 years and have had much help from kind airlines, I won't be flying yours or recommending yours to any dog lovers."

We waited through 3 engine replacement tries in the hot Italian summer inside a hot cabin with approximately 150 passengers. Almost an hour later, engine was replaced but damage was done. Many transfer flights had to be rescheduled for later flights. Where was the reimbursement???? Just a million thanks for our patience. Time is money"

I was not the only person who experienced this problem. Several people on my flight missed their connection, and several still waiting when I left were in danger of missing their connection. I have flown on other airlines through other cities internationally and never experienced this type of issue."

Had to sleep at the airport. Very poor experience with the Air Canada staff in Las Vegas."

I bought a 1-way ticket from Punta Cana home to Canada, surprise, when I got to the lineup at the airport Sunwing charges a 20 USD airport tax separately. I was told I should have known, though it is the only airline in the terminal that charges it (separately, USD only, no cards or local currency accepted). ATMs at the airport out of service, nowhere to purchase USD on-site. Local banks do not sell you USD if you don't have an account with them... Eventually I found a taxi driver to buy the currency from. Luckily I speak Spanish and am comfortable in the country on my own. I was able to find a solution as the Nexus greeter for Sunwing offered no help. Other Sunwing team members and flight crew I met later were much more helpful when I could not complete self-check-in (flying with carry-on only) as all the seats were locked and apparently could only be assigned at the desk (despite the greeter telling me to use the self-check-in).
Due to the onboard check on system malfunction, we were getting conflicting messages about the flight status. Found it very interesting that kayak gave us updates before the Sunwing app or representatives did.
Was not allowed to board because my KAYAK purchased ticket was declined / invalidated. DO NOT USE KAYAK.
Cramped seats, no in-flight entertainment. Basic A to B transportation. Staff were fantastic. Like riding a school bus in the sky.
I missed my flight due to Covid. I reached out with every possible means and no one responded or picked up. I’m stuck in a foreign country with no money and my airline won’t even respond to know if I can have any refund
The flight out check in was horrible. Not enough staff to serve or guide people. People that did the online check-in and then at the booth check-in took longer to just check our bags then the people that did nothing and just did the regular check-in line.

They allowed pools and lounge chairs which is just as well. I am not trying to be critical but have the delayed occur while we were at the Airport-It would have been a killer way to close a vacation! Check-in agent was superb. She was very helpful and understanding and really a super star"

I am appalled by the staff that AM who had boundless determination to treat us as though we were not paying customers as they barricaded the POS terminals. It is appalling that because of these 6-7 people who were there bright and early (just as we were), that the airport later descended into chaos. My point is that their outrageous carelessness (on December 20th) brought greater problems to the flights that could have been avoided. Beyond myself or my mom who should be prioritized given her condition, were treated like cattle and perhaps were deliberately sent to walk around the airport aimlessly. This is a bad reflection on Sunwing."
