Huge Problem - but it got fixedPros:After experiencing the horrible problems, becoming incredibly hot, having to drive back to the airport, and paying the extra tolls, the gentleman at the booth was very apologetic, and switched me to a working van immediately without any further hassle - by him politely and quickly fixing the problem, the lost day would have been completely ruined. EZ should fire immediately the people who lent the first vehicle, and commend the gentlemen who lent me the replacement vehicle. Also, why have a phone number than no one answers, and have a message system where no one returns messages?Cons:I drove away from EZ at Logan Int'l in Boston with a minivan, and did not notice till I had left the garage and was in a heavy traffic flow that the van was dirty on the inside - dust everywhere that no one had wiped for a while, but far more importantly it was 95 degrees out AND THE AIR CONDITIONER DID NOT WORK - it only blew UNconditioned air. I had places to go right away and pick up family members and of course had paid the toll to leave the airport, and I did not want to return unless EZ had a working replacement. I called, and called and called their numbers, left message after message for several hours - NEVER received a call back, and no one EVER answered the phone. Five hours later I was able to go back to the airport and luckily there was a replacement van, but I, plus my familt members were fully perspired. And, when they got in the back of the van, realized the seat was broken and not secure. Ridiculous.Reviewed 17 Aug. 2016

Pros:Unfortunately, there was no chance for me to like anything as E-Z did not have my reservation on file. I spent over an hour at the counter looking to see if the order was wrongfully placed for a different day, if it was set for a different pickup location, or if the rental company had been changed (I individually checked with Alamo, Advantage, Hertz, Enterprise, and more) to unfortunately find out there no company had my reservation on file. By the time the entire ordeal was done, and the option was to reserve a new car, we were so late that we decided to completely change plans and not rent a car for the day. This put extreme stress on myself with family visiting town and I am incredibly frustrated with this experience. Overall a mediocre experience at bestPros:I like the price, it beat out most of the other options but not by very much.Cons:The price wasn't different enough to justify using this service again. The wait was long. Most of the other options now have automated booths and multiple attendants for those who need more than the booth. EZ had one attendant, no booths. The car was not as clean as I'm used to, but still alright. It also had several marks and dings on the outside. That isn't too bad but I don't like needing to document that type of thing. It makes me worried about what will be questioned when I bring the car back. Much easier to just say no dings/dents now, no dings/dents when I bring it back.Reviewed 5 Jul. 2016

Vehicle had slick bald tiresCons:Reservations had incorrect dates and rates. Once insurance was declined was told that my insurance would not cover the $22.00 a day charge for each day the vehicle was in repair. After traveling the 140 miles on the bald tires I contacted customer service. Was told because I declined the insurance I could drive back to the agency or buy tires and keep the receipt and return the bald tires and after they inspected the old tires I may get reimbursed. After 3 calls and one hour on phone I was able to get a replacement sent with the caveat that if the tires weren't bald I would be responsible for the $300.00 tow. I cannot get customer service on the telephone to rectify the wrong charges. Will not ever rent from this company nor Advantage which is owned by the same company. Finally the vehicles were dirty and had 48000 miles on them.Reviewed 17 Sep. 2018

E-Z Logan Airport, Boston, MAPros:The $200 additional "hold" was removed prior to o the credit card charge being processed.Cons:Booked a "Full" size vehicle online. Desk clerk only gave "make" when asked. Parking spaces for this small company were limited to one row in a large lot with poor signage and was difficult to find. Vehicle assigned was actually a smaller "Intermediate " size. Found the lot attendant on the long walk back to the desk. Attendant confirmed assigned vehicle was not "Full" size, and after questioning us several times what was booked, revised the paperwork. bad pick-up processPros:Car was clean and got good gas mileage.Cons:When I picked up the car, the person helping me was pretty incompetent. I had a pre-made reservation and it took 30 minutes for him to rent me the car. The "mileage in" in the receipt they emailed me was wrong (different from the "mileage in" on the paper receipt given to me when I rented the car). So it says I drove 600 miles more than I actually did. Probably not a huge deal since they don't charge for mileage.Reviewed 15 Nov. 2016

Fill up before drop off!Pros:Very easy pickup and drop off. They put me in a Kia Sedona that was in pretty good condition. It had Apple CarPlay which was a nice perk.Cons:This car rental company charges almost $10 a gallon! Make sure you fill up before drop off or you'll be stuck with a $100 dollar gas bill!Reviewed 4 Jan. 2018

Pros:There was one staffers who was helpful and apologetic regarding poor signage at the airport. I also appreciated the man who checked the car out and was careful and helpfulCons:The counter staff were rude and simply did not care. They blamed me for missing the counter sign and could not have been more dismissive and unhelpful. With that attitude, I will avoid EZ rental in the future.Reviewed 1 Sep. 2019

Was misinformed by EZ Rent-A-Car RepPros:speed of pick-up/drop offCons:EZ Rep advised us to purchase a toll pass as it was cheaper than paying for it at the toll gates. I advised that our route shouldn't involve tolls to which he strongly advised we would indeed and it was cheaper prepaid. after the trip from Boston Airport to Cape Cod - we in fact did not pass any tolls.
