Pros: The rooms at the Zocalo Central are well accommodated and well maintained. The staff is phenomenally helpful and friendly, and the roof-top cafe has an unbelievable view of the national cathedral and central plaza below. For sightseeing purposes, one can't beat the location, which is merely steps away from the cathedral, Palacio Nacional, and the city's archeological site.

Cons: Rooftop restaurant did not have a bar, you have to order and sit on a table to drink. I paid the most expensive mojitos I ever had $24 dollars for two to be exact plus tip for the waiter. The room I had was tiny with a 1foot by two slim overhead window, quite claustrophobic for me... The breakfast buffet was $24 dollars, really! You walk next block to Restaurant El Popular and order their menus for less than $6.

Pros: The hotel is a gem. It is centrally located, very clean and the staff was amazing. They were friendly and helped us out with getting around the city. As soon as you walk in they make you feel welcomed. They greet you with a smile and a glass of authentic horchata or jamaica. Love it!! The evening guest services provides us with suggestions for excursions, which we took advantage of.
Cons: The restaurant buffett was a bit overpriced. It does provide a great view, so that's what you mainly pay for.

Rooms spacious and very clean. Would recommend 100x over, even to people like my parents who are not as adventurous. Also free water botttles, fruit, and a 24 hour cafe at your disposal.

Pros: The staff from arrival to departure did everything to make this a memorable trip. They went above and beyond most luxury hotels would do take care of their guests on a personal level. When we told them it was our anniversary they made each day a special one. The chef cooked us a special meal. I cannot say enough about our experience. For a large hotel to give personalized service at this level was indeed very satisfying. Would recommend this hotel very highly.

Cons: Internet is not working great. Being on a business trip I need it to work all the time. From time to time the connection is interrupted followed by the periods where I could not connect at all. While the staff acknowledged the problem it should not happen that often in the first place (and it happened both times when I stayed in the hotel. The 2nd time was working much better than the first time)

Safe did not work. Note regarding to help yourself to one free coffee packet - but no packets were ever there. There was no information in room about anything the hotel offered. Cons: The service from check-in was horrible. The staff were pretentious and not helpful. They were not friendly and had an attitude of getting the job done at the very least effort. If asked to do something mundane, like giving you change for a bill, it was obvious they were irritated. We had issues with the ATM, which ended up eating up our ATM card and the staff said they were not responsible and didn’t offer any help; not even to call the bank in charge of the ATM. The elevators were really slow and the check in line was really long.

You would be lucky if you could check-in in less than 40 minutes. But there were a number of people claiming Someone else was already staying in the room you finally got. There was a day when more than ten people were overbooked and claiming for hours. The electric key was broken, sometimes it worked, but gets broken again, and usually you have to wait about 7-8 minutes for someone to come and open your room.

Cons: The one thing missing, that is usually available in large hotels, is the basic gift shop. You know, the small shop that sells bandaids, candy bars, batteries, souvenirs, sodas, postcards. That would be a nice convenience to add.

Pros: Este hotel queda en la mejor zona de Ciudad de México, al frente del Angel de la Independencia. Esto es muy bueno pues hay muchos sitios donde comer y conocer cerca. Si van a ir el fin de semana de día de muertos, tienen que tener mucha paciencia, pues el tráfico es un caos, lo bueno es que pueden ver el desfile desde la ventana del hotel.

Cons: Everything was going well until at 1 AM on Sunday 1/22 night they lost power to the rooms, and it wasn't restored until 3AM. Phones stopped working, there was no lights in room, it was scary. You do not expect this from a top end hotel.

This hotel has ok sized rooms but they were 100% clean! has a modern touch to it and the bed was comfortable for when we got tired of exploring. I would definitely stay here again

Pros: Great location the metro is just around the block as well as a strip full of bars. Safe area would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling to the city and not wanting to take a taxi or the metro at night to go have some drinks. Food,metro,bars all within a block plus only about 3 or 4 blocks from the angel de independencia.
Cons: Wifi cuts on and off not a big deal most of the trip is not in the room.

Pros: Everything is very nice, I return here several times a year and always enjoy it. Love the soft cotton sheets and bed is just perfect.
Cons: Internet can be a bit better in the rooms, the internet is a normal Mexico City problem. Washing clothes / work long sleeve shirts, indicate in Spanish they should check the arm pits area and apply extra effort there, again standard Mexico City problem in the last 50 hotels I stayed.

Pros: Learning about the history of this hotel was more informative than the tour I took at Teutihuacan. The breakfast in the Veranda was excellent (authentic), and winding down in the Telephone Bar was perfect.
Cons: I had to ask the housekeeping repeatedly to replenish the coffee water and keep my windows locked, but they had a good attitude and kept the room clean and fresh.

Pros: OMG, the location is great, and the STAFF is what's set's them apart. The doormen are over-the-top great, the ladies behind the desk are so friendly. Only wish I had taken a look at the pool and gym!
Cons: The ONLY problem is that we had a great room on an upper level and it was almost at the intersection of an imaginary "T" with Calle Amberes. There are 2 bars on Calle Amberes that play music very, very, very loud until at least 2 am if not later and the room isn't soundproof. Normally i can sleep through anything, but this was really loud and my 'fix' was kleenex in the ears. Next time, I'm asking to stay on the 'other' side of the building.

It is perhaps this hotel owned by the Vatican? Also, I was in the 16th floor and the smell of a burn oil from kitchens is amazing. One maid told me that probably the smell goes up through the elevator. Really???
