Better inflight entertaining, good quality food.
Pros: "Comfortable flight, good service."
Cons: "The size and quantity of carry on luggage needs to be restricted. The actual size and number of pieces needs to be enforced. The serving of liquor to passengers should be better monitored."
Cons: "Terribly small seats"
Pros: "Service was impeccable. In flight entertainment was good"
Cons: "Food was nothing special"
Pros: "We have been using Premium Economy on various airlines I’ve the last several years for our frequent travel between the USA and destinations in Europe and Asia. The Air Canada experience was one of the very best (along with Lufthansa). The entertainment system was superior, food was great, service was attentive and comfort was as anticipated. The availability of power for iPads and computers was more than sufficient. I’m sure that a lot of the satisfaction came from flying on a Dreamliner but Air Canada is still at the top in our minds (and future plans)."
Cons: "The only complaint would be that the cabin was quite cold on our return trip. I could have been better prepared myself so I need to take most of the blame. The cabin crew did take steps to adjust the temperature but it would be unreasonable to expect the aircraft to meet the comfort expectations of every passenger. Next time I will just bring a light weight hoodie."
Pros: "Clean plane"
Cons: "No charging docks"
Pros: "Great service"
Cons: "Not enough time to the flight from Halifax to west plam beach"
Pros: "Getting off."
Cons: "I had a seat with a drip, probably condensation, that feel on my head and face throughout the flight. At one point during takeoff it was a steady stream of water. I sat with a napkin perched on my head and would mop up the water between events. That was a first! And with a long 14 hour flight, not welcomed."
Pros: "The $20 food voucher that was quickly offered shortly after the delay was announced."
Cons: "Subsequent announcements were confusing because notices were inconsistent."
Cons: "very inefficient boarding. Also had trouble booking seats in the 24 hours before the flight."
Pros: "The quick route was good (that's the only reason I *might* consider choosing this Air Canada flight again in the future)."
Cons: "On a flight to India, full of people of Indian origin, Air Canada served TERRIBLE imitation-Indian food. The "naan" bread was like a thick cracker, and the vegetarian curry was unedible. Samosas were soggy (they should be crisp on the outside). The Sikh man next to me complained over and over to the flight attendant. Of all the types of food to serve, leaving Vancouver, why not showcase great Canadian seafood or cooking? Everyone going TO India will soon get to eat amazing local Indian food, so why risk making poor-quality imitation Indian food?"
Cons: "Originating flight got delayed . Air Canada simply declined to accommodate in the next available flight even though I had single ticket with Air Canada and AIr India completing the final sector from Delhi to Bhopal and back."
Pros: "Very good flight experience"
Cons: "good planes, good services"
Pros: "Crew very friendly. In-flight refreshments & Entertainment provided."
Cons: "Cramp seats."
Pros: "The crew did an amazing job routing us around the heavy bumps along the whole route (weather system). Short flight, so no food. Entertainment system is good, but too many ads."
Cons: "The "mandatory" ads that run over the loudspeaker right after the safety announcement. Can't turn them off or lower the volume because they are transmitted for the whole cabin. While the entertainment system is very good, the general overabundance of ads is disheartening."
Cons: "lack of real breakfast and few drinks even in premium economy"
Cons: "Selection of movies was not up to par.The movies were all old with few new ones.Hoping the section would be better next year. Crew at front desk should be more organised in the boarding procedures at both toronto and delhi."
Cons: "Luggage didn't make it and it took 4 days (out of a 5 day holiday) to get it to me :-("
Pros: "The employees were friendly and professional."
Cons: "The plane was extremely cold, more so than any other I've been on. It made it hard to get comfortable."
Pros: "Everything"
Cons: "The food on the flight to/from Delhi was too spicy to my taste. I'm generally allergic to certain spices and ended up eating next to nothing during the flight."
Pros: "The snack selection is excellent"
Cons: "No complaints"
Cons: "I was unable to board that flight since I did not have transit visa for Canada and no where it was mentioned anywhere on Kayak's website. Nor on confirmation email as well. I was not aware of the same despite having travelled to states couple of times in the past. I had to purchase ticket from another carrier at the last moment on the airport."
Pros: "My onward journey was great. Return was not so. As a gold member I would have appreciated an upgrade. In a long flight I would have appreciated more water served regularly."
Cons: "Same as above. Flight delayed by 45 minutes. No explanation given as to why... no inclement weather or other issues that day."
Cons: "and unexpected change of flights led to cancellation of flighs. Never ever Air Canada or related airlines"
Cons: "When I am willing to purchase overpriced food on a plane, please at least have what I would like from the menu. On my flight to Canada and from Canada to Las Vegas I ordered food and had to settle on what they had available because I was so hungry. As soon as I asked for food, the crew should know what is and isn't available. Food was ok, whoever shot the pictures for the menu did a fantastic job of making it look good. Chicken wrap was good."
Pros: "Comfort of the flight."
Cons: "Food was too spicy and had too much salt. Food quality needs improvement. Asked crew about the name of a food item and they didn't know."
Cons: "Unhelpful crew, dreadful status updates about our delay, not enough food on board for everybody"
Pros: "The direct flight was good time saver. The food was alright and the crew helpful and friendly."
Cons: "The seats were uncomfortable. In the same class, Lufthansa was more comfortable..."
Cons: "I cannot believe the nickel and dining of this company. I was on a 3 hour international flight (just USA to Canada, but still), and they served no snacks. Not even a bag of pretzels! Forget about free alcoholic beverages you normally get on international flights."
Pros: "Timing. Getting to Delhi in 14 hours is really a timesaver. The seats have good space too, even when I am 6 feet tall, there is adequate leg room."
Cons: "Awful food Horrible boarding Terrible service and really no treats Seriously stingy about weight."
Pros: "The boarding was painless. We could board early since we were in Zone 1."
Cons: "Not enough space for overhead luggage. The crew looked overworked and stressed. Had to ask the stewardess 3 times for the same order. The seats weren't really an upgrade, it was just a Window and Aisle seat with a table in between. The service was not any better than economy. The Upgrade didn't feel like an upgrade. We will definitely think twice before booking with Air Canada."
Pros: "The crew in the flight from Rome were marvelous. I was sick during the flight and they were helpful"
Cons: "The flight was horribly delayed and my plans and onwards transit was seriously affected. I missed my connecting flight from Toronto to New York and as a result, my plans to proceed to Boston was destroyed. When I spoke to the agent in Toronto, to route me to Boston, she told me that Air Canada's contract with me is to a place and not necessarily at a particular time. That was unbelievable. I arrived New York stranded, at 1:30pm, with no ability to continue to Boston. I had to spend so much money to get me to Boston. It was a horribly long day. Over 25 hours on the road, counting when I arrived Rome airport and when I finally got home."
Pros: "We were safe."
Cons: "Big problems with frequent flyer miles. After a number of hours into the effort I am told my miles won't count. For the average airline it takes about 30 seconds to join the frequent flyer club. Air Canada now is my last choice for long flights. Ok maybe before Frontier."
Cons: "service was not that great"
Pros: "Friendly staff and crew."
Cons: "Although entertainment choices were very good but there was only one hindi movie. I was expecting better bollywood choices for a flight starting in Delhi."
Cons: "My carry on bags were checked in till Toronto and NOT lax ??? Checkin crew not helpful caused me lot of grief- I had to get the bags out from customs at Toronto and then take them on board for the flight to LAX- Customs and immigration- unnecessary hassle!!"
Cons: "In my flight to India, I was asked to check in my hand baggage at Calgary. This bag got left behind in Toronto and I received it in India after 2 days. This was a big inconvenience. I wish Air Canada had compensated me for this inconvenience. On my way back, my checked in baggage was badly damaged. I realize that the airline is not responsible for this and it is the airport crew. Overall a good experience. I will definitely take this flight again, but will not check in my hand baggage. The crew is very friendly and helpful - great service."
Pros: "We had a pretty uneventful flight from Tampa to Toronto using Air Canada. That is a good thing. The airline offers complementary juices and drinks of the nonalcoholic variety. No complaints."
Pros: "Boarding was on time, flight was smooth and the service was great!"
Cons: "I don't have anything negative to say about this flight!"
Pros: "Good flight"
Cons: "Food choices"
Pros: "I like the service s over all"
Pros: "the flight was on time, without any delay"
Cons: "Variety of movies needs to be improved asap A bag of Pretzels or any type of snack would be a plus"
Pros: "Good entertainment, pillows and blankets, friendly staff."
Cons: "Very long transfer lines to get to my flight to Philadelphia because in a different country. Food was distributed first to pre-paid passengers, hinting that there might not be enough for all passengers to buy."
Cons: "I asked a crew member to find me a empty space near me so that i don't need to store my luggage in the way way back, and she said she was too short to open and close those overhead bins. SERIOUSLY, HOW DID YOU GET THE DAMN JOB"
Pros: "the seats reclined better than most in my experience"
Cons: "it was too hot. the vegetarian food was vegan. it was not filling - very small portion and no protein or fats to make you full for dinner! flight was delayed about 1 3/4 hours"
Pros: "Price"
Cons: "I booked a seat to be seated right next to SO. However, upon check-in, they changed the seat without telling me. Fortunately, we were able to exchange seat to be seated together."
Cons: "The rates that were on Kayak were different than what we were charged on our credit card. Kayak kept sending us canned response for charging us $1500 extra and when we reached out to Air Canada, they kept mentioning that they are not responsible for what rates were displayed by Kayak and they charged us $3000. I am Just FRUSTRATED by the way I have been conned between 2 systems and They wanted me ( the customer) to go and figure out what went wrong. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Don't buy from KAYAK"
Cons: "While checking in online for the boarding pass I was asked for information like my nationality, residence, passport number, but yet I wasn't informed that I would be needing a transit visa to take a connecting flight from Toronto. I was issued a boarding pass and assigned a seat on the plane. But when I went to board the flight I was not allowed to. I had to go back home with all my luggage and book another flight. No compensation of any kind was provided for the inconvenience and harassment that I had to go through. Not only did I not get any money back I also had to pay for another expensive ticket. I believe it is the airlines responsibility to ensure that the passenger doesn't miss such an important requirement such as the transit visa. They should have check points/pop up messages on their website during the booking of the ticket or during the issuance of the boarding pass that informs or at least directs the costumer to such specific and vital requirements. When I fly by Air France they always direct me to a page that helps me locate the requirements to travel through a country. No such thing was there on Air Canada's website. This was the first time I was flying with Air Canada, but thanks to them I never did. And now I never will."
Pros: "Excellent crew and service"
Cons: "Poor movie selection"
