After a swift boarding we had to wait in the plane for over 40 minutes to take off. The same happened when we landed. Alaska had much more work to do on their timetable
My first flight was delayed by over an hour, luckily I had Long layovers on an itinerary from hell, because when you book a Saver ticket, they change your itinerary and make it many stops and long layovers, and there were still delays. On the return flight there was a delay in the first leg, Orlando to Seattle, so I got up really early for nothing, and on the last leg Anchorage to Fairbanks, it was over 2 hours late taking off! I didn't get home until 1 :30am! By the time I got my luggage, the flight landed at 1 am. For the departure day, I was up from 6am to when I arrived the next day at 6am in Orlando. So I was up for 22 hours, 3:15am to almost 2 am the next day. On the return day. The moral of the story is, DON"T EVER BUY SAVER TICKETS! You can't even upgrade your seat when you do that and then at the last minute they want Big bucks to upgrade the day before leaving.

The flight was fantastic. All the crew staff were wonderful. Everyone was so friendly and they went out of their way to help make it such an enjoyable flight! I think on such a long flight there should have been some food given. Even cheese and crackers and maybe some cookies!
Plane seats are comfortable and seemed more roomy than others I have been on. Playing was clean and flight crew friendly. Passengers who have a connecting flight should however be allowed off the plane first
Upgrading from premium class to first class caused me to almost miss my seat on the flight. The system “un checked me in”. So I not only lost my first class seat, but my premium seat too so I alsmot didn’t have a seat on the plane. The app did not let me know as it was showing my seat assignment all the way up until boarding began. This exact same thing happened to another passenger. And to top it off, I now have to jump through hoops to get my refund. Awful experience with Alaska, I don’t intend to fly with AA again unless there are no other options.
Very satisfied with the trip, using Kayak and Alaska Airlines.
How can we get assigned an A seat when booking a flight ?
The agents at the Kelowna YLW airport were really grumpy. Same with oversized baggage person. Staff on the plane were great.
Flight was early. That’s the only positive I can share. I paid for wifi on the flight and it didn’t allow me to use any streaming services so it was a waste of $20. West Jet also lost my ski equipment on my way to a ski vacation. They told me it would be delivered to the hotel as soon as it arrived at the airport. It was never delivered. I had to pick it up at the airport on my way home. I am completely disgusted with my experience on west jet
The window seat on the emergency row was too small. I had a different seat booked and they moved me. My seat remained open. It was very uncomfortable.
No kiosk to help pre boarding unlike other airlines, still lost the luggage despite its own crew/TSA or security tagging it, poor handling of lost luggage and possibly compensation is likely poor too.
Waited at airport from 10 am till 4 pm and no flight due to fog. Ugh.
As someone who never flies WestJet unless there is no other viable option I have to give this crew credit where credit is due. Extremely well done everyone.
Everything was great until we had to get our bags. The bags came out in several different batches over 90 minutes after we landed maybe more we got our bags. So much for the old West Jet where they promised bags in 20 minutes. I Next time I will pack lighter and go with a carry-on.
Flight left on time. The crew was very friendly. I had to buy a proper meal. Small cookie and a drink just doesn’t cut it for a 4.5 hours flight.
The flight was full and good as could be expected. We arrived early which is always a good thing.
Experience was good, the wifi hook up is somewhat tough
Meals were not so good. Snack between the meals was very bad. Like Japan Airlines, they could eliminate the snack and make the second meal much better.
Forced to check bags. Crew uninterested in collecting trash. Unclean seats.
Baggage allowances are terrible and the experience of only being allowed one bag and paying so much to take sporting equipment to a known ski area should be addressed.
Broke my luggage and I can't get a resolution yet.
This was one of the most frustrating travel experiences I've had to date. I had changed my flight day of to this one as it was slated to depart on time. It ended up being so delayed that my original flight took off before this one did. The boarding process began but eventually stopped and everyone had to get off the plane as a problem was identified. The person at the front desk just tried to laugh it off as if this wasn't already a huge inconvenience. From there, we eventually got to board only to sit at the gate for an additional hour because of some additional issue. This was extremely frustrating and caused a lot of stress.
There were no TV screens - even in Business class. 5 delays, and only given $12 meal voucher! Terrible!
The professionals have excellent customer service, the seats don´t have enough space.
The flight was very smooth and the meal in business class was great.
