Excellent 9.3

Cons: The only problem that I had with my flight is that my luggage did not arrive on the same flight. Possibly due to my connecting flight from DCA to JFK. Both American Airlines and British Airways reassured me that it would be at Gatwick Airport when I arrived. Unfortunately, it did not. It took approximately four days to get my luggage. This was definitely a lessons learned.

Pros: The price was great.

Cons: There was a 5 hour delay and I was not notified by Norweigan via email or text, even AFTER CALLING AND REQUESTING that they notify me. No drinks were served-not even WATER to those that did not pay for a meal plan. This is unacceptable and possibly illegal. Awful experience.

Pros: Crew was polite. Entertainment system was acceptable.

Cons: While Purchasing our tickets, it was not made clear that our bags and meals need to be paid for separately. Once we got on the plane, there was an option to bye food however most of the food was unavailable on our flight. The only thing we could purchase on a 7 hr flight was chips and corn nuts.

Cons: The delay was too much and it affected me badly

JFK

Mediocre 3.0

Pros: aircraft was new and the crew was just as frustrated as the passengers.

Cons: The process was non-existent. Simply terrible and not thought through at all. First there is no on-line check in. So, you arrive without a seat assignment or boarding pass. Stress. Then you go to the small handful of kiosks and find that only a couple are working. So you wait in line. Then you get your boarding pass and walk to the security checkpoint as you do with every...other...airline..ever. You wait on line and watch countless people being turned away from the security person. You wonder why out loud and surmise with the passengers around you - but we’ve all flow. Hundreds of times before, and we all have our boarding passes and no checked bags. So, you think youre ok. Stress. Then when it’s your turn, you get rejected because you have to have a “stamp”. What stamp? I scanned my passport at the kiosk and I have a “known passenger” number. what stamp? Go back to the counter and wait on a loooong slow line. They want to weigh our bags. Why? They are all small carry-ons. We’ve all done this a thousand times. Nope - Norwegein weighs your TOTAL carry on and it all has to be less than 10kg. 10 kilograms! So, one by one, EVERY passenger is instantly angry and gets hit with a $65 fee per bag and all carry ons get checked. Stress and now we will be late upon our arrival as we didn’t anticipate checked luggage. After having your luggage weighed and deemed too heavy, you have to go wait on the “payment line” to pay your $65 fee. This is a joy - everyone is pissed. The staff is smirking and repeating, “don’t stress” over and over. After you pay your fee, you have to get BACK ON LINE to show the bag guy that you paid and then he put your bag on the conveyer. only, your bag is in a pile of all the other bag behind the counter. So he holds up each bag and says, “this one?” Farking nuts. Then you go and get BACK ON LINE to go through security. Then the gate....that’s a whole other debacle. 250 people crowded around the gate person. Literally hell. LOOK AT THE OTHER AIRLINES AROUND YOU. COPY THEM. Oh, no food or drinks on the plane unless you know the secret handshake. We realized this when the food cart and drink cart each passed us by. Mind you, this was t just our group. Every passenger around us has the same stress filled confused experience and we all spoke about it. Never, ever again. Pay the extra $100 and fly a proper airline.

Pros: Better than average entertainment system for domestic flights.

Cons: Boarding done against logic: my seat was in the last 5 rows of the cabin and I was scheduled to board in the final group. When I got to my seat the first 30 rows were nearly fully, but the back of the plane was half empty. The whole time the gate agent was urging passengers to move faster through the aisle, but Delta should really rethink its boarding strategy. It shouldn't take 40 minutes to board a 757.

Cons: Sat on the tarmac for 20 Minutes, after taking off late. Arrived to my connecting gate 10 Minutes prior to scheduled departure with no delta attendants in sight and watched my plane sit at the gate and pull away with no way to get on board. Now I’m waiting unnecessarily for 4 hours on another flight.

Good 6.3

Pros: Food quality was above average (compared to Air France, for instance). On-board entertainment system offers a lot of movies or tv series, assuming it is in working order.

Cons: A negative point for the entertainment system is the variety of movies - all US based movies. Other airlines mix in foreign movies, Delta is squarely US centric. Also, the entertainment system didn't properly work until rebooted, but flight attendants could not be contacted to get this done timely (cannot call attendants through a non-functional screen). Another concern is the noise level of the cabin, but it's mostly due to passengers.

Pros: The staff is friendly & helpful.

Cons: The flight left late from JFK & made me missed my connecting flight to Sofia. I ended stuck at the airport in London. They gave me a voucher for a light refreshment and while I was at the airport I observed a mouse coming out of a corner. This is the second time this year that British airways did this to me. I will never book a flight with them again! I have an ill family member who is waiting for me to get there. They have no respect for people’s time!!!

Pros: Gave me a bagel before landing.

Cons: Boarding process was disorganized, no one helping adjust suitcases to maximize space (one guitar laid on its back instead of standing on its side took an entire bin instead of half), the flight attendant woke me up to lift my seat back because the person behind me wanted to eat. Their flawed design is not my problem.

Prices are per person, are for e–tickets and include all taxes & fees in CAD.

We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.

If you have more questions or if you have a bad price to report to us,
please send us an and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
