I arrived at the check in counter with 52 minutes to spare and they told me I could not board. The plane wasnt even boarding passengers yet. I even went as far as to say that I would leave my luggage as I had to get on the flight. They did not allow this either. They said that I would need to get on another flight. To add insult to injury they did not credit me with ANY of what I had purchased for my previous flight since I ordered through Kayak. I am 100% dissatisfied with ANA and I am asking kayak to rectify what they have done. I have already emailed ANA upper management and will be taking this to social media, the news, and any other outlet I can find. I had to pay for a hotel, miss 2 days of work and pay for a 700 dollar "premium" seat ticket since that was all they claimed they had. I find that last part funny, since I saw about 12 empty seats on my flight. I am hoping to hear from kayak so they can explain why they do business with a company that clearly does not care about it's customers."

Cathay adjusted our seats so we would be located reasonably near the doors yet close enough to the bathroom for her convenience. The stewards literally took her by the arm to help her to her seat, even taking her bags for her. And they made a point of checking on her several times during the flight. Absolutely amazing!"

Cons: "My Son's water bottle was emptied despite my protests that nobody at any airport has ever done such a thing. The water had even been okayed by the Hongkong airport 1st security point after we landed in HKG from Delhi. But the there was additional checking of handluggage again just before boarding and they threw away my Son's water. This is unacceptable. Also the food was not up to quality. I got practically the same food in both meals."

At the outset two agents weren't even helping guests. This was a very frustrating experience. Unfortunately, I had to pickup and recheck my bag and ended up waiting outside security for several hours because there was no where to drop the bag after passing immigration from my connecting flight. I suggest AM get another airline's baggage handler to recheck bags for early arriving customers so at least they can wait inside security where amenities abound."

Cons: "There were two runways in Mexico City and one was under maintenance so it took a long time from the moment we landed to the time we were able to get out of the plane. Then, they took our check-in luggage from the plane and it went through an inspection (bag by bag), so this caused another hour delay. After that they gave us our check-in luggage for us to take it to another location (to another floor) within the airport to be checked-in again. They wanted to charge us $20.00 additional per check-in bag even though they were half of the weight limit. After we complained, they dropped this charge. Due to all the delays we lost our connection and we had to book another flight. Not a good experience. We will never make a stop in Mexico in the future."

Boarding crew (not on flight but in the terminal) was NOT nice-- I had a garment bag that in past experience does not count as an additional carry on since it can be placed on top of carry-on in overhead bin. Boarding crew member insisted I was over the limit (when though at check-in, the staffer saw how many pieces I had and made no comment) and she insisted I had to check one item AND pay the baggage fee. But this was a problem only because it was a full flight, and I was being punished just because my seat was in a tow closer to the front and boarded later, therefore there was less room left in the overhead bins. Also seemed ridiculous to charge for the first checked bag, with most other reputable airlines, there is no fee for the first checked bag for international flights."

The pilot on the first delayed flight (new airplane) was clueless, his exact words "... our analysis team from midwest needs an hour to figure out whether we can fly or not" This is after we have boarded the flight. Then after about an hour of sitting in the plane, he says "rumor has it that a new plane will be towed in..." What? Why didn't they stop boarding and just get the new plane in. And I don't appreciate the emails saying flight is delayed without giving any reason for it. AA could have certainly done a better job of communicating the issue. Further the flight crew including the pilot were acting like victims. If it were an Asian carrier like Singapore Airlines, the crew would be smiling and providing assitance courteously since they represent the airlines. Not flying them again."

Cons: "Where to start? How about when I checked in at the counter, I asked the check in attendant to add my FF number on my ticket. They said they'll get right to it, handed me my tickets and sent me on my way. It never happened. Not a big deal, I can request the mileage post flight, but still something. Look at my tickets, that I had booked a week in advance and specifically reserved an aisle seat. My ticket says "Priority Verification," whatever that means. Turns out it means you don't have a seat, and you get the worst of the worst. So what seat is the worst? How about the middle seat in a row of 5. The middle in a row of 5, on a transoceanic flight... What kind of airlines has 5 in a row? The guy next to me spent $300 for his ticket, I spent $1200, for the same flight, and this is the kind of seat I get? The plane felt like it was straight out of the 90's, carpeted center walls, old seats, tiny tv's. Overall, a plane that felt had not been updated in decades. Took 20 minutes for a flight attendant to respond to the flight attendant sign. This wasn't during beverage or food service, just a normal time at cruising altitude. They also don't have eye masks. Every other transoceanic flight I've been on has them provided in the seat pocket, American Airlines doesn't even have them on the plane! Economy class has no USB or power outlets, the in flight entertainment is about a 5" screen in probably 260p resolution. Decent selection of movies, but you have to join the movie in progress or wait approx 10 minutes for the next movie to start. Legroom was okay unless you had one of the entertainment boxes in your way, then that takes up 30% of your space. Some of the tray tables do not have cup holders, on the top, bottom, or anywhere on it. Also my table was tilted, so every time I put a cup on it, it slid right off. Seems like a minor complaint, but eating dinner and fighting a sliding cup the whole time is a pain. Dinner and breakfast tasted decent, but you can tell American is cheap on the food. Most airlines will give something like a main course, a bread roll, fruit cup/salad, juice, small dessert. American gives you the main course and a fruit cup and that is all. Crappy utensils too. Overall, if I had paid maybe $200 for the flight, I wouldn't have any room to complain, but because American holds the government carrier contract for FY17, I had to fly on them at exorbitant cost, and would never recommend them to anyone."

Plus my family and I were tired from the 11 1/2 hour flight and when we get to check in the attendants were very rude, almost like it was a bother to them when we asked for help, it was probably because I interrupted their conversation. Every airports kiosks are different and that was our first time going through there so we just wanted to make sure that we did it right. Then when we get to the gate where we're suppose to leave out from, I asl the attendant there who I can talk to about forgotten bag on board. She then goes to tell me that I need to call the 800 #, Abd I said but I'm here at the airport can't they just bring it to this gate and she then got an attitude and said that they couldn't do that and I would just have to go to the lost and found which was downstairs. I was on the line with lost and found before I went to ask her any questions, and I mentioned to her that I had been on hold for 30 minutes, and she said they weren't going to answer. So I then asked hire am I suppose to get my bag then? She repeated about calling the 800 #, and at this time a lady runs up the counter thinking that she missed her flight. She shows the attendant her phone and is hysterical thinking that she missed her flight and the flight attendant told her just go sit down it's not here yet you didn't miss it. The customer then starts yelling in another language and the flight attendant just tells your just go sit down calm down and go sit down. She's doing all of this while I'm standing there she pulls out her phone and then told her co-worker I should put her on YouTube the way they do us. All the while I'm standing there because I still have more questions and she just ignored me like I wasn't even standing there. I more than likely will never fly this airline again, I'm paying for their services and to get treated like this, no thanks!!"

They can not find any information on the location of the suitcase and hope that they will find it in another 48 hours. Rediculous!! I will never fly them again and suggest that you save your money, effort and vacation by flying with another airline."

In combination with the change I described above and the 9.5 hour flight to Tokyo, we were completely done in for 2-3 days after we got to Tokyo."

Cons: "After weather forced us to miss our flight to Delhi from Toronto (understandable), Air Canada booked us on an AC flight to London and then an Air India flight to Delhi from London. In Toronto they told us that we couldnt get our bags because they were in storage, but that they would be on the plane to London and then to Delhi. Upon arriving in London, Air India told us that Air Canada never booked us on their flight to Delhi - that neither of our names were on their manifest. Air India was helpful in getting Air Canada's mistake fixed. Upon arriving in India, my partners bag was nowhere to be found. It would be logical to assume that his bag was in London and never made the imaginary flight Air Canada booked us on. However, even though our bags sat in Air Canada storage for 24 hours, his bag was never even loaded onto our flight to London. He didn't receive his bag until 6 days into our trip, causing all of us to miss out on multiple experiences, including the ability to leave Delhi because of our need to get his bag and multiple missed and promised deadlines from the airline."

Pros: "Air Canada provided accommodations for me when I was informed about my removal from my connecting flight."
Cons: "I didn't enjoy the sassy customer service representative who "assisted" me in redirecting me for the next possible flight to India. She booked me for a flight to London and told me that I was also confirmed for an Air India flight from London to Delhi. This "confirmation" was false after checking in with Air India. There was no entry of me being registered for the flight. Luckily, there were enough seats to make my accommodation. The looming concern that followed was that my bag was clearly not going to be in Delhi once I arrived to my destination. This then became my reality and had to deal with not having my luggage for 6 days in India. There was blatant disregard between both airlines in trying to deliver my bag to me. They both blamed each other and refused to claim responsibility. With both refusing to claim fault, I had to fend for myself and pay for clothes and other necessities. Hands down, the WORST experience I've ever endured while traveling with any airline. I vow to never fly Air Canada and Air India ever again."

Cons: "Plane (767-300) is so old you have to use their app on your own device to watch movies. Plane is so long it takes forever for even simple beverage service to get to you, blocking aisles for hours while various carts are dragged about. Servings were mean, you could only get the can of soda if you begged, refills were also slim, and ice was a cube, maybe two. At one point I was so dry I had to page air staff to ask for more water (and I Never do that!). Food was mediocre at best. Landing, plane shook so hard I thought it would come apart! Planes like this need to be retired FAST. Last time I will fly this equipment. I'm literally going to pay all those ridiculous fees to change my return flight. Hated this exhausting, inconvenient, unpleasant and entirely too expensive experience. Don't fly Air Canada overseas!!"
