Boarding was fine, and flight was on time. During the flight however, you aren't even offered a drink of water. The carts never leave the galleys. All the attendants said the whole time is take your headphones off and buckle your seatbelt. For the price I wouldn't expect 5 star service, but maybe a drink would have been acceptable

Nothing needs to change as it is such a short flight.
The employees at the counter when we first arrived were very helpful and kind. The flight attendants were are very pleasant and helpful. I appreciated we departed on time.
Pros: "Price was the best over competitors. Many dates available. Staff are friendly and service oriented. Coffee is so good. Food is great. Flight was on time."
Cons: "I booked online and then had to rebook - by calling the call centre. Be good to have the ability to change flights online as well. Call centre staff was good - except I assumed she’d book us sitting in the same seats as I had originally chosen (which were available - as I checked online)."

Pros: "You constantly got food and drinks served, a big contrast to the other airlines who don't even serve complimentary food on 5 hour trips. We didn't expect to get food on this 2 hour flight so we had breakfast beforehand. We were pleasantly surprised!"

Pros: "From the coffee and cookies while waiting to board to the freshly baked items given while receiving food service, this is great customer service. Not to mention the competitively priced airfare and not having to pay an extra fee for checked bags, this airline can't be beat. I would definitely fly it again and suggest it to anyone if they're looking to fly in northern Canada."

Cons: "I think the seats on westjet are ridiculous, are they smaller than other planes. I was practically in the lap of the person next to me. I'm 5'7 and I couldn't even rest my head on my knees to stop the extreme motion sickness. I couldn't even finish my flight today because I couldn't stand the nausea and I couldn't rest in a seat 2 sizes too small for a regular sized person. I had to lay down and when it didn't subside I had to find accommodation. I will never fly with westjet again. But thanks you know for the pretzels."

Cons: "It took several hours for the decision to be made to cancel our original flight from PV to Van, and when the final decision was made, the complete lack of sympathy or communication came as a shock. No one informed us why we were moving to another terminal or that our flight had actually been cancelled and we would be staying another night in Mexico for another two hours. Getting our hotel voucher and transportation to the venue took another several hours. (Sorry Westin, but you also receive poor marks on your food services. Your front desk people were great though!) The following morning we were not informed that there would be no food service on the flight, so my kids were starving by the time we touched down in Vancouver. The ordeal was exhausting and when we finally arrived in Vancouver we almost missed our connecting flight because of a huge error in off-loading our luggage. It shouldn’t take over an hour to receive your luggage. Again, the communications break down led to hightened anxiety and stress. The whole horrible journey home with WestJet made the loveliness of my actual holiday pale into the background. I was very disappointed in WestJet as I’ve had fabulous experiences in the past. If possible, I will avoid flying with them again any time soon."

Cons: "Took 45min to bag check (3 agents and only 3 families ahead of me) and when I did bag drop, I’d already checked in online, the agent tagged my luggage to Calgary not vancouver and put it under someone else’s name. It’s been over 34 hours and still no word from westjet. Calgary is an 1 1/2 hr flight to Vancouver. Not impressed."

Cons: "Changed my flights with less than 3h notice. I’d payed extra to reduce wait times as I was flying with a child just over 2. Originally had me coming in to Vancouver at 9 am and leaving at 5:40pm. Not cool with a young child. Allmost missed the 1st flight getting it fixed, they also didn’t book my child in adjacent seats, despite pre-booking the seats on the flight days before."

I mean really folks, it can’t be that hard... especially since five of those passengers have the same surname! Finally, is a cup of coffee and cookie and a glass of water really sufficient for a 5hr 9min flight, which adds to well over six hours with boarding and alighting time included."

There were or apology or announcement about the reason of my flight delay (2 hrs). I was told by a customer rep on the phone a few days before ny flight that I didn't need eTA to transit, but I needed it! I had to obtain it at the airport counter on the day of my flight.. I was very close to miss my flight.... Due to the delay, many customers missed connection flights, but there was no clear guidance to where to take care of the matter... I was ery disappointed.."

Cons: "Flight was delayed for several hours, while the crew assured us it was on the way. When it landed they still said it was being prepped. Then at 10pm or so, they said it was cancelled. Then we waited another hour and a half to speak to representatives and get our hotels. Then another hour to the hotel to go to sleep. Because I had to be back at the airport in 7 hours to catch the next flight. It would have taken me 2 hours to drive to Seattle from Vancouver."

When we phoned and also went to an AC agent at the airport, we were told there was nothing they could really do as far as leg room; Heathrow reps were kind enough to offer a wheelchair when we arrived. The frustrating part was when we were on the flight, there were multiple rows which only had 1 person seated. There did not seem to be any empathy, understanding or patience for our situation and it did not feel great to be treated with annoyance and disdain."

Evenually I left a note under the air canada office at the airport with my number and was called back as soon as they could. It was nice to talk to a person instead of telephone 'press 1,2,3' or internet mine field. Yes, she was very helpful and I didnt miss my plane."
