Cons: "This was a JetStar flight, not JAL as the title says. I've only had good experiences with JAL. Despite paying for two pieces of baggage, I had to pay an extra charge. One of my pieces was a pair of light skis (5kg, well below the allowed 20kg) that were apparently too long for normal baggage. It is just another way to extract an extra fee. Seat spacing on Jet Star is dismal. Thankfully it was a short flight"

Cons: "There was 2 choices for food either pork or chicken But when I asked for chicken they told us no more chicken Then they took the pork from the tray and I had to eat the rest without the main course. Also all the seats were taken by the people who bought the tickets directly from JAL,but there was few seats left all in the middle for people who purchase tickets from travel agents."

Pros: "The flight attendants were very attentive and polite, seats are some of the most comfortable of any airline I've flown (particularly compared to the US domestics), entertainment is solid (although the English movie selection was not that large), and we were regularly offered food and drink if we were awake. I would definitely recommend JAL to others."

Cons: "1) when my flight was delayed significantly due to weather, I was not notified until I got to the airport 2) when the same flight was cancelled, I was on hold with JAL for over an hour before I could speak with customer service\ 3) customer service could not rebook me for another flight until 3 whole days later 4) I had to look on JAL's website and inform their customer service about flight options that were somewhat sooner 5) no compensation was offered for 2 days of delays and flying out of another city (I paid for my own transport to this other city in order to make my final destination on time)"

Also, not enough knee space, especially when the person in front of you puts there seat back. I flew with American Airlines on the way to Japan and I had plenty of room but I wish it was the same coming home."

I don't know if she was new but she seemed reluctant to help me when I couldn't find my luggage tags. I told her I wanted a kid's meal for my son but she didn't process the request. I literally arrived to the front desk 15 minutes before the plane departed. The ladies at the front desk were very aware of my urgency and walked me threw the crew line and got me to my gate without a missed flight. I cannot thank you enough for the kind and generous work you do."

Cons: "1. Flight seats are too congested on flight.. 2. Not too many indian movie choices 3. Some reason, while booking the flight, the KAYAK site had not asked for food choice. And the airline does not carry any extra vegetarian food. This had caused some inconvenience."

Cons: "My flight was delayed by 2 hours so I missed my connecting flight in Singapore. There was a huge queue of people who missed their connecting flight cos of an accident in the runway. The airline did nothing to prepare for this situation. It took hours to get another flight organised, communication was non existent and refreshments took ages to come. Airline didn't help with finding a hotel for stranded passengers."
Pros: "The seats seem to have more leg room, food was actually good, and the staff was delightful."

Cons: "I was unable to get an aisle seat therefore I was stuck in an middle seat. I am rather tall and the man on the window seat was morbidly obese and half of him was sitting on top of me for most of the flight. He also sweated all over me, snoredand snorted for the whole flight. I spent much of the flight standing and now have terrible leg oedema. It was the most uncomfortable flight I've ever been on. the flight was full so there were no reseating options apparently. It was extremely unpleasant."
Pros: "Good sleep is most important & emirates is very good in this regard. Food is only fair especially the hot food served at dinner. Wines served are generally of a good to a high standard. Some crew members are better than others. Some are really excellent including any of the Irish members of the team - they always standout with their warmth, friendship & ability to read people & situations."

Pros: "Barcelona to Dubai flight - the flight attendants were personable, helpful, and very courteous. In-flight service was frequent with many stops to check on the passengers of a very full flight. Wonderful and attentive service, even when juggling such a large number of passengers. I was very impressed with the work ethic of this crew."
Cons: "The flight attendants on the Dubai to Singapore flight were surprisingly unhelpful. It was a mostly empty flight and yet during this flight, there were very infrequent beverage service. When I activated my call flight attendant button, no one stopped by. This included at least 3 different flight attendants passing me, some more than a few times, and not once did anyone stop. After waiting for 10 - 15 minutes, I turned off the light and went to the galley part of the plane, only to find a group of flight attendants socializing. I requested a drink and it was handed to me without the attendant every making eye contact as the attendant still was facing and engaged in their conversation. This is not the first time I have experienced this on an Emirates flight so I think the staff training may need to be reinforced. Business class service on Emirates is quite good. But I fly both Economy and Business class. The experiences in Economy did affect my decision on which airline I generally fly with for business class travel."
Pros: "Check-in was efficient and staff were extremely helpful. Flight itself was comfortable, food was actually tasty, and in-flight entertainment was great. Overall an amazing experience compared to US carriers."

Pros: "On that route the plane can be quite empty on the Melbourne-Singapore leg, meaning lots of space to sleep in coach."

Cons: "My food took sometime to come back as they ran out of lamb. The clean up service took awhile and my used cups were still on the table. But overall I like the Emirates."
