While I understand that airlines operate as businesses, it’s increasingly clear that profit often takes priority over passenger experience. If there are viable alternatives to air travel—or even creative ways to break up a trip using different carriers—I will absolutely consider them in the future to avoid contributing further to practices I find frustrating. For example, I’ve already found more affordable options for future travel between Vancouver and Toronto. Next time, I may opt to book with two separate airlines if it allows me to save money and avoid rigid policies that don’t serve passengers well.

Was my first trip to Toronto, I would choose an aisle seat or window seat, not middle. Middle seat is best for a very small person.

I wish I had known that the air canada flight I was taking was so small inside that you can barely fit your carryon bag down the aisle. Also that there are some planes who's seats don't recline.

If you are travelling with an elderly person signing up for wheelchair does help them get from gate to gate with assistance so you don't worry about them missing connecting flights
