Pros: Great crew, fast boarding, nearly empty plane so I had the whole three seat row to myself.

Cons: The hydraulic pump for the inboard flaps sounded like it was on it's last legs and howled whenever adjustments were made. The cabin pressurization system whistled so loud that I had to put ear buds in to protect my hearing (just on takeoff/landing). Proper maintenance is important!

Cons: New leaf discontinued their Sunday Halifax to Hamilton flight which was to be my return flight home. They did offer me a full refund if I needed to cancel or to rebook on a different flight but I couldn't make the new dates work so I took the full refund. I booked the flights in December for a flight in Feb and they cancelled half way through January so there wasn't a lot of notice given

Cons: I had safety concerns on the flight from YVR to Toronto because seated in the exit row were two individuals who were brought to the gate assisted on a cart and had to wait for assistance to get on and off the flight. They had very poor ambulation which made me nervous as these people have agreed, by sitting in the exit row, that they are able and willing to help in the case of an emergency evacuation. This was not a safe situation and was noted by several passengers.

Pros: On-line check-in was available.

Cons: It was very confusing as to where to get bag tags after encountering issue with printing from the machines. No reps were kind enough to spend 3 mins to look at my situation/case and provide immediate guidance. As a result, I missed my flight and needed to pay extra to get on one.

YVR
YYZ
Good 7.0

Pros: Air Canada has one of the best buy on board menu's of any North American carrier. They even allow you to purchase Business Class meals (subject to availability of course). Flying on the older 767-300ER also has more shoulder and leg room than some of Air Canada's newer configurations for the 787 and 777.

Cons: Air Canada's boarding process is a bit frustrating. On American Airlines and United Flight attendants make announcements over the PA to (a) step out of the aisle to let people pass, and (b) place larger suitcases in the overhead and smaller bags under the seat. That way they try to ensure there is enough bin space to accommodate everyone. Passengers on Air Canada stuff everything in to the overhead bin and nothing under their seat, leaving little for those boarding after and delaying the flight because flight attendants are looking for bin space. If they were more pro-active, it would speed things up.

Pros: The plane didn't crash like website and they did not charge $10 for printing off my boarding pass, as no one could with website down. Also, some budget airlines now only allow 40lbs in checked baggage, Looks like they allow 50lbs.

Cons: Similar problem on the way home, could not book luggage online but could check in. Shop closes at 5 CST so could not call. Even though we told at checkout that it was because of the Christmas volume online, still had to pay Airport (extra) price to check-in baggage. They said I could perhaps get the penalty fee returned if I called in. Told her it's not worth 2 hours on a paid long distance call to get $20 back.

Cons: Not only were you late, you didn't even apologize. Your delay forced me to take a cab, which is more than $40 more than a train ticket. Moreover, the crew was just unfriendly. starting from responding to questions with eye rolling and sour face and ending with not even responding when I say thank you when leave the aircraft. Little things that contributed to just poor experience overall.

Pros: The legroom in economy was good. The staff were very pleasant and they even tried to comfort/distract a crying toddler.

Cons: The flight was delayed for 2 1/2 hours which meant that it didn't arrive in Toronto until 2:40am, this made it difficult for being picked up. I wasn't aware that this was a basic ticket (I bought it through 3rd party website) which meant that I couldn't prebook my seat. After checkin online and paying for the seat it also meant that the seat couldn't be changed even though there were several available seats. There were no entertainment centres at each seat which was also a real surprise. I didn't have the Westjet app therefore I couldn't have access to the movies as I didn't want to have to pay for internet.

Okay 4.3

Pros: All flights to Toronto were delayed due to weather, which really wasn’t bad, but these things happen. The crew, however, weren’t empathetic at all. When it came to food, they ran out and again their empathy was quite lacking. Air Canada really needs to step up their people skills. They will lose customers to airlines that demonstrate that they care (eg WestJet) if they keep this up. This is not an isolated experience for me. They have lost us as a customer. I won’t fly Air Canada again if I have other options, and I’m willing to pay more for the same flight just to avoid them.

Okay 4.6

Pros: Crew were great.

Cons: I was told by transat to down load an App. to watch entertainment only to be told by Flair Air that they did not provide the service and that I was given the wrong information. So no TV for 5 hrs.

Excellent 8.0

Pros: Great crew, fast boarding, nearly empty plane so I had the whole three seat row to myself.

Cons: The hydraulic pump for the inboard flaps sounded like it was on it's last legs and howled whenever adjustments were made. The cabin pressurization system whistled so loud that I had to put ear buds in to protect my hearing (just on takeoff/landing). Proper maintenance is important!

Pros: Comfortable seat with plenty of hip & leg room.

Cons: Charged $35. for luggage because I didn't know I could go online with the Flair Air website & pay prior to check in. They were friendly and advised me to do this in the future.

Cons: Service in the plus was the worst ever. Extremely slow and we were half through the flight until someone finally came to collect garbage. The flight crew manager sat down most of the flight doing nothing at all. Good at the announcement part but nothing the rest.

Good 6.6

Pros: Direct flight, staff was courteous, priority checkin was worth it. Also the activity paid on the flight "dolphin encounter" was worh it.

Cons: Boarding delay of 50 min with no notice. We could have taken the kids to the restroom earlier, however we kept waiting as we thought that we'll board any minute. Aircraft looked dated, seats not too comfortable.

Good 6.0

Pros: The crew welcoming passengers misdirected me and my mom a number of times. It took a completely different staff member to intervene just to let the crew of 6-7 allow me to use a POS terminal to print off my tickets. Following this, I was sent to various gates where the gate-keepers restricted me from access.

Cons: I normally take other airlines. The other airlines offer my mom who is a fragile senior citizens the opportunity to be in a wheelchair and given some kind of help. I am appalled by the staff that AM who had boundless determination to treat us as though we were not paying customers as they barricaded the POS terminals. It is appalling that because of these 6-7 people who were there bright and early (just as we were), that the airport later descended into chaos. My point is that their outrageous carelessness (on December 20th) brought greater problems to the flights that could have been avoided. Beyond myself or my mom who should be prioritized given her condition, were treated like cattle and perhaps were deliberately sent to walk around the airport aimlessly. This is a bad reflection on Sunwing.

Pros: I liked sitting by the Emergency exit so I had more legroom.

Cons: Did not like the small bag allowance for carry on and the fact that we were charged an extra $25 because our carry-ones were over 5 kilos. That is a ridiculously small allowance and just a cash grab for the airline!

Pros: The crew tried to be polite and understanding during the flight.

Cons: The flight left an hour late with no explanation. Then when we arrived in Toronto we sat on the runway for another hour waiting to be able to disembark. At this point the crew became testy and offered no explanation while passengers were understandably aggravated.

Prices are per person, are for e–tickets and include all taxes & fees in CAD.

We attempt to get accurate prices, however, prices are not guaranteed.

Here's why:

We’re not the seller.
At KAYAK we don’t set the prices, so it’s not possible for us to guarantee what other companies are selling.

We compile tonnes of data for you
Our service lets you quickly and easily compare results from hundreds of travel sites at once. In this sense, KAYAK is a search engine and we can't guarantee prices we find.

Why aren’t prices accurate 100% of the time?
Prices on airline seats, hotel rooms and car rentals can change frequently. Several people may also be trying to buy the same travel option simultaneously. As a result, you may find, on occasion, that certain prices are no longer available.

If you have more questions or if you have a bad price to report to us,
please send us an and someone from our team will get back to you promptly.
