Pros: "Direct flight to JFK using Delta. Was not aware that I was NOT flying on West Jet therefore encountered problems searching for a way to check in online. Ground crew airport check in at the Delta counter and at the Boarding gate was helpful and efficient. However request for Special Assistance in Toronto was poorly handled. We did not accept the conditions offered to us as one wheel chair operator had to push 3 passengers and I had to wait for him to return to me after two people were brought to their gates. My Husband had to wheel me in to my gate."

The seats are getting as ridiculously narrow, I thought I was on Spirit Airlines! Now Delta is charging for bags! One reason I had stayed with Delta was although the ticket prices were higher the bags were free, now higher ticket prices and bag fees! Guess I will have to search for another air carrier. Delta is not loyal to me so I won't be loyal to Delta! Fuel is cheaper so they raise fees!"

I am a Delta frequent flier, and despite logging on and checking in, was told at the airport counter that I would be assigned a seat at the gate. Of course we were assigned to the last row of the antiquated MD 88, right next to one of the engines. As if the lack of reclining seats was bad enough, the engine noise and vibration was almost unbearable on the flight that was delayed one hour on the Tarmac. The crew was understanding and we did get to Orlando safely...a big plus."

Even at the lowest fare class. Not Westjet, their automatic computer seating assignment gave us seats in separate rows !! When asked at the checkin and also again at the gate, we were told that the fare class that we paid for does not allow seat changes. They simply would not seat a parent and a child together unless we paid extra $25/person to change seats. This kind of gauging for money was shocking. Especially when there were 3 other rows behind us with free seats together !! This was clearly a case of wanting more money. At the lowest fare class parents travelling with children can expect the child to be sitting separately from them. Or pay up more."

Cons: "One of the flight attendants was incredibly dismissive. “Forgot” to ask for my order to get lunch, so needed to call him so he could take my order (he was already in the middle of eating his own food) and of course by then what I asked for was not available, and the options for food were bad. On top of that, the trash from the top of my table was not cleared for a long, long, long time (even though everyone else’s in my section were clean). First time this happens to me in all my years of flying, specially in upper economy class."
Pros: "WS Care Center staff Minmico (think it was her name) arranged the 4:15 flight instead of the 6 pm flight but only because I requested her to check that flight when I returned to the CC to find out if it was possible to get on an earlier flight. I should have been advised when I first arrived at the CC from my delayed flight from Toronto that I could check back at the CC to see if there was a cancellation. Minmico allowed me to use her phone a couple of times to call my husband to advise him of the changes in my flight, which was very helpful. She tried hard just prior to the flight departure to have my bag delivered to the 4:15 flight but was unsuccessful. She gave me food vouchers, which I liked. I also thought the WS CC staff in Abbotsford was very helpful explaining the process for making a baggage claim when my bag didn't arrive due to my last minute flight change - the $100 voucher was appreciated when I picked up my bag the next day."

Crew did not communicate in a timely manner about when we would be flying.The plane should not have been in operation if the computer didn't work and passengers should not have had to wait on the plane for two hours while it was fixed. I missed my WS connecting flight to Abbotsford from Calgary and was only rescheduled on a plane departing 6 hours later! No one at WesJet Care suggested there may be a cancellation on an earlier flight - I had to arrange it by returning to the WS Care Center. I just barely made it onto an earlier 4:15 pm flight but without my bag which was put onto the later 6 pm flight. I chose to return the next day to pick up my bag."

Then she rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed about someone else waiting to get down the aisle after going to the bathroom. The client was had patience and was talking to those around her. The server was verbally frustrated and everyone knew by her words and facial expressions. There was an elderly lady with a cane who she was very brusk and impatient with. Her tone was condesending and dismissive."

Cons: "The management of carry on luggage on the flight. It seems that there is no control over the placement of carry on luggage in relation to seat selection. many people entering the aircraft drop of luggage in the bins close to the front of the cabin even when they are sitting at the rear... Simple solution would be to assign luggage based on zone. Zone A to Be Window seat. Zone B to be a centre seat and Zone C to be Aisle seat. Designate a portion of the overhead bin to be A, B and C like the seats. Ensure that baggage is transported to the seat designated."

Cons: "This was the most negative experience I’ve ever had flying Westjet. The female flight attendant was wonderful, fun and friendly and professional. The two younger male attendants were incredibly rude, rolled their eyes, ignored me, put themselves first (at one point instead of making room for me to return to my seat the blond one insisted I let him pass when it was unsafe for me to do so and nowhere for me to go). I felt demoralized by these two men and it’s both surprised and disappointed me as Westjet staff have a reputation for friendliness. These two men will Discourage me from flying Westjet when travelling to LA again. Not pleasant. Again the women was lovely. I tried to catch the male names but they wouldn’t stop and face me for long enough for me to see their name tags. They seemed to have some inside jokes between them and gave me the sense my requests were not welcome or respected. I am a nervous flyer and this was such a difficult and uncomfortable Experience."

I was the last to board I am sure And had to collect my own luggage and take it from one point to another. I am 70. thank god, when I got on the plane I sat in 3a and was offered a free glass of wine. halleluya. I was exhausted Toronto airport is always a nightmare. I travel a lot and will avoid this airport if I can. I do like West jet but Delta /west jet connection means I have to take my bag from one place to another and I walked miles and could have missed my flight. I am tired. I am going to bed"

Cons: "This was my first time booking a PLUS seat and never realized that row 2A seat sucks. Its a bulkead row seat that is by the window. This seat was worse to sit in than any other seat on the plane. This seat is located were the plane starts to curve in toward the front of the plane reducing the seat width, I have a 33" waist and it was tight. The arm wrests in this row don't come up as they stow your table, as well the leg room is only as good as a regular seat because of the bulkhead location. So FYI do not book this seat on a long flight."

Cons: "We sat for 4 hours on the runway. Aside from 1 crew member, they were impersonal, rude, and unaccomodating. They pilot spoke overhead very pleasantly and apologetically and encouraged walking around and using the restroom but they crew gave everyone a hard time. There was no offer of complementary food service or compensation for anyone despite being on the plane for double the amount of time planned. Finally, the in flight entertainment worked for maybe half hour of the actual flight with no explanation or acknowledgement."

Cons: "The seats were up there with the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced--mostly due to the lack of ability to recline. I feel a four hour flight is sufficiently long enough to provide people some space to relax. We were delayed for whatever reason, lack of communication from staff to the passengers that were boarded really quite early (perhaps too early). One of the staff, while nice enough, was being a bit snarky to people as they were trying to, what I thought was helpfully, give them their garbage."

Cons: "Well, they mixed up my check-in luggage during transit. As a result it got delayed and I had to spend the night without it. Although, I was informed about this miss when I landed in Vancouver, the team did not seem to feel particularly bad about it. Also, the process of getting reimbursed for the predefined expenditure allowance needs to be more efficient. Ideally, in such cases, the airlines should not only refund the check-in fee, but also provide a prepaid card to make any urgent purchases. Their current process requires one to bear the expenses initially, scan/click and send the original receipts and await a response from their baggage team. I am waiting to hear back from them on my submission."

Cons: "This was where the real fun in my trip happened. After my arriving flight got in 2 hours late and sat on the runway for 45 minutes because there was too many planes in the way for my plane to get to the gate I was not in the mood to run across the airport to go through customs and then through security (for the second time). However in order to make it onto this final flight that's exactly what I had to do. I also might add that it is incredibly stupid that connecting flights have to go through security again after deplaning, it's not like we're suddenly going to have weapons or anything so why waste that time? After I sprinted across the airport and got onto the plane the pilot announced that we were waiting to hear from the airport to take off. Long story short the poor pilot was trying to figure out what was going on but no one was even answering his calls. Eventually he realized that the plane hadn't been refueled and had to get a hole of them to refuel. At one point he must have gotten really frustrated because he left the plane in search of answers as the Toronto airport wasn't giving him any. Eventually after 2 hours of sitting on the plane we refueled and took off. On top of that my travel partner didn't get her luggage, we assumed that the Toronto airport lost it somewhere or something. Overall a complete nightmare."

Cons: "I was given a ticket with the seat 3A (one of the plus seats); I didn't ask for it or pay for it, I just got that seat when I was checking. After I found out it was a plus seat, I acknowledged to nearby the flight attendants and nearby passengers I didn't pay for this, that there was a mistake, and I could move if there was someone who did pay for it. What I received from the flight attendants are accusatory remarks/comments about how shouldn't be there because I didn't pay for it (after I acknowledged this before anyone even had an issue about it) and passive excuses that didn't make much sense when I asked them why there ws this issue in the first place. I was fine with moving seats from what I was initially assigned to, I was fine with being moved twice thereafter (first moving to 21E, then to 23E). What I was not fine with was 1. the accusatory tone by the flight attendants that I tried to take someone else's seat 2. even though I was given the seat by the person at the check-in desk when I didn't even ask for it and 3. after I was the one who initially brought up this issue in the first place and was willing to changet seats with he rightful passenger. Please learn to take responibility for your actions and mistakes and errors rather than blaming it on a passenger who just wants a safe flight home. Thanks."
Cons: "Didn't fly on the day I was supposed to fly due to delays. I had to figure out for myself that I wasn't going to make my connection and thus I went back home. We agreed to itinerary for the next day that had a 2+ hour wait at la Guardia and yet I still almost missed the N.Y. to Tampa flight due to delays out of toronto. Had to sprint from one terminal to the other. In Toronto we sat on the tarmac for 90 mins, and this was after dealing with security and other issues with checkin before i even got on the plane. For example, it was difficult to explain that i had already paid for my checked bag the day before. As a result I never got a chance to eat the entire day. And then my bag didn't get to Tampa until later that night anyways. Although the individual staff members were all very nice, there were institutional flaws that made two days very frustrating. I have some sort of debilitating delay on more than half my flights over the last few years, and rarely is there ever an explanation or compensation."

If you need to wait for the bathroom the stewardess tells you to wait in the aisle behind row 3... really? So I can't just stand here in the galley and wait... no sir, behind row 3. Best advice - fly Air Canada - these guys do not deserve your money!"

It was literally like biting into a popsicle. My teeth hurt for the rest of the flight after just one bite. I asked for another sandwich which took a while because they were busy with other passengers. My replacement sandwich felt just as cold but it wasn’t frozen solid like the first one. It seems like a minor inconvenience but it became quite frustrating."

Cons: "I was traveling with a piece of artwork and had to check it in oversized luggage, but as I was going through customs, I wasn't allowed in, because the Westjet team couldn't find it. I was escorted to their waiting zone, where I spent 1.5 hours waiting in limbo trying to figure out what I could do. Thank goodness the flight was delayed 80 minutes, because I was finally able to make the flight with 2 minutes to spare after running to the gates. The flight time, 65 minutes. I find it hard to believe the flight got delayed an entire flight. To couple that, when the plane landed in LGA (where I am as I write this), we're stranded on the runway because we don't have clearance to pull into our taxi area."

Cons: "The hours that I would have normally saved travelling through Orlando were lost because of delays caused by a storm and the aggravation of landing in Tampa and the inflexibility of the airline in its capacity to give some passengers the opportunity to get off the plane in Tampa. We had to land in Tampa to refuel because a storm over Orlando closed the airport. It would have been more convenient for me to get off the plane in Tampa and have less miles driving to Pensacola. Another 10 passengers were also hoping to take advantage of this unforseen circumstance and get off in Tampa. We only had carry ons. But WestJet had no one to take care of us there and no contingency plan seemed to be in place. We had to stay on the plane and after refueling in Tampa we flew back to Orlando and landed there, albeit safely, four hours later than expected. I had to stay in Orlando overnight, which shortened my stay in Pensacola by a day."

We got there at 3 am, the 3rd hotel layover of our round trip from NYC to Mendoza, due to LAN dysfunction. Never again LAN"

And finally as soon as we got off the plane, they were supposed to give us our carry ons on the aisle (Because it was a small plane CR700) , but again, we had to wait almost 10 minutes so that they could send the luggage... To make things worse, I had a first class ticket and I couldn't get the perks of it at the airport. Because they said I wasn't flying in an international flight. Come on?! Canada->USA->Mexico is not International??? You lost me AA."

We found out right away that there was a delay and chances of missing the connecting flight from Philadelphia to Orlando were great. We requested a different booking to insure travel to Orlando, which was denied. So the connecting flight was missed and after hours arrived in Orlando at midnight. Missed my ride and all car rentals were booked. All this caused a lot of anxiety and unnecessary stress. Very disappointing. And to add to it, the flight itself was horrible and there was no entertainment available for the entire flight."

I had to upgrade myself to first class to keep my roller on me. I had things that I couldn't part from my carry on. Cost me $500 US dollar and then she said to me. What ever thrills you. Wow. I am star alliance gold with two airlines and I have never ever been treated this way ever. I will never take air canada ever again. The 1800 customer service isn't any better."

I would have been willing to pay a fee to change my return, but not given the opportunity. Had I booked directly with the airline, they would have had no problem making a change. Buyer beware!!! If you don't book directly with an airline, you may suffer the same fate as me! This was an almost $1,300 dollar learning experience. Do not use third party online booking agents! You do not have the same protections as dealing with the airlines directly."

Since some designer genius (thanks, Boeing!) put all the controls in the armrest, exactly where any normal human being will rest his/her elbows, the controls keep activating every time you lay your elbow in the armrest. That means, your games will cancel and restart a thousand times, your volume will keep shifting from deafening to mute, and the button calling for help from the crew keeps going "ping" all over the plane. The crew ignored the calls, surely since they know what goes on with the plane, but I wonder what would happen if somebody really needed help. In addition to that, the seats are incredibly uncomfortable, narrower than ever and hard as brick. Every time I board a new plane I wonder what can they do to make it even worse, and plane designers never cease to amaze me with new medieval tortures."

I found it very disrespectful that the staff reprimanded me for their own error. When I pointed out that they had not called a zone the ground staff lied and said they had called the zone. I strongly recommend staff receive remedial customer service training. This was an incredibly negative experience - not to mention undermined the otherwise decent experience that the Air Canada flight team provided."

No check in kiosks to make ticket checkin faster. Lines were all backed up and I barely made flight and my connection. Many either missed flights it connection or plane was held up to get people to flights. The lady at customs check in was good trying to handle the back ups but the shrine was severely backed up and understaffed. The pilots made good time and handle the turbulence well. Staff on board did well with timing of food and drinks Entertainment on board was awful. Didn't find out until on board on 8 hour international flight that needed an iPad with downloaded app for entertainment and therefore I had three kids that had nothing to do. Never did I have such an issue with an international flight that was so poorly managed. So disappointed."

Cons: "Air Canada Rouge is a nasty way to travel. In a standard seat, there is enough room for a very small adult/ child. If you are 6ft tall or more, you are going to be in trouble. If Air Canada gave an extra 3 inches of space for your knees between the seat in front of your own seat, everything else would be bearable. Corporate greed drives jamming in as many seats as humanly possible to ensure that you know how a sardine in a can feels. I am not sure why Air Canada feels justified in charging extra money for a bulkhead seat just so a customer can have a "normal" experience travelling. I would recommend every Air Canada exec goes for a ride on a Rouge Cattle Car to see how enjoyable it is."

Most uncomfortable seats in the business. Also staff from call center to check in are rude and act like they are doing you a favor."

Pros: "Everything. The plane was immaculate, the seats were comfortable, the food was delicious, the flight crew was friendly and professional. Air Canada's abillity to transit passengers from the US to international destinations is truly remarkable and must be best in class. I went from an inbound flight from Houston, through Immigration and to the gate for my flight to London in under 15 minutes!"
Cons: "After taking Air Canada to Toronto, this Air Canada flight from Toronto to Orlando was a shock- no back-of-seat tv screens, no entertainment choice, no meals provided, less space, less comfortable."

Cons: "Dirty, old smelly plane. Compartments for suitcases were ridiculously small. Staff was rude and unprofessional. Used Air Canada for my trip to Toronto as well, flight was delayed 2 hours and I wasn't notified even though I signed up for the notifications."

Cons: "Lost our luggage in Toronto both times in and out. Had to sit to wait to pass customs for 2 hours and almost missed our connecting flight. Was released 15 minutes before boarding and couldn't enjoy dinner at the airport"
Cons: "Flight was delayed multiple times. Was tracking boarding from the Air Canada app as there was nowhere to sit by the departure gate or screens. The app didn't advise that the flight was boarding (unlike other apps such as BA). I missed my flight and they insisted on charging me more than what I paid for the entire ticket just to return home. I got back to London to find that my luggage didn't make the journey. Staff at Air Canada were unfriendly and unprofessional."

Pros: "I arrived where I needed to be, safely."
Cons: "It might be possible to get good reviews for a flight that takes off two and a half hours late so that everybody misses dinner and gets to bed late (and forty-five minutes to get my bag didn't help matters). But you're not going to get them if you won't even tell your customers why the flight was delayed."

Cons: "Air Canada Rouge should be renamed Air Canada Rude. Employees are very un-friendly; Seat design on the plane is the most uncomfortable of any airline out there. Very close to each other and very little padding on cushion of seat. Dirty plane; don’t think they serviced it between flights, garbage in each seat pouch. Very cold on flight, crew did not regulate the climate control. Too many unnecessary announcements both in English then French. Each announcement seemed like it lasted about 10 minutes which no one listen. So much for trying to watch a movie that pauses every time the crew feels the needs to talk. Sat at gate for 30 minutes pass departure time without any explanation until right before we departed (waiting on passengers from late arriving flights). At lease they could have told us. Anyhow this is not the Air Canada of old. Air Canada Rouge shows no signs that they care about the comfort of their passengers."

Cons: "Being blasted through my headphones by the captains announcements indifferent cabin crew. How poorly boarding was managed by AC. There was absolutely no effort made to enhance a boring flight with food or drink unless you paid for it.I guess AC does not consider it an international flight from the US to CA and visa versa which saves them a lot of money and works only in their favor. Why I,m even bothering to fill this in."

Cons: "Checking was more complicated than necessary. Was asked to use the machine to check in even though I made it clear I wanted to use the counter and there were only a few people waiting. Didn't get to watch a movie as I wasn't told you need to download the apps before getting on the plane."

Cons: "My flight back was delayed 2 hours. There were screaming kids on the plane. The flight status on the main screen on the airport reflected a different time than the app."
Cons: "Overbooked and was removed from flight without notice. Was flown to Newark, NJ instead. The next plane was broken and had to disembark. Got home 8 hours late, after 2am, and had to pay for transportation from airport because prearranged transportation was no longer available. Plane was dirty and staff was rude."
