Cons: "I could not chose my seat for this flight. It was a HUGE hassle. Flew with boyfriend and we were automatically put in seats that were 20 rows apart. We could not choose our seats online, or at airport. We had to wait until we were at the boarding gates, and all of the seats were taken."

Pros: "This was a great flight- there were lots of movies to choose from, and the meal was one of the best I've ever had on an airplane. Plus, there was ice cream. ANA is probably my favorite because they always give me ice cream. They also offer me drinks often, and when I asked for water they gave me a bottle instead of just a cup. Since passengers tend to get dehydrated while flying, it was nice to have water that I could sip whenever I wanted."

We did not start boarding for a 12 hour international flight until ten minutes to scheduled take off. The first time we were informed about the delay as a group was after we had entered the aircraft."

Pros: "Have flown most carriers to Australia and NZ. Air NZ by far the best. I mean, I am flying cattle class, so its never going to be great. However, compared to the other carriers available, the seats are the most comfortable and have more legroom. If you can afford their sky couch, do so. Food is edible (and, to me, most airlines are not) and was nice to get WiFI all the way across for just a few air points."

Should be made available. Though I booked the flight for both me and my wife and the special meal request was for both, the wrong Veg meal was made available only to my wife. Something is not right with their system. One you serve what you make us select and then the system is recording only for one passenger."

On our flight from SFO to AKL, no problem but on the return flight they only brought us one child's breakfast. I asked a crew member for the other one. She told us it would be brought over but never was. So my son had to wait until the regular meals were brought and have one of those. Not a big deal but it was a little annoying. Also, for the return trip dinner, they served delicious Kapiti ice cream with the adult meal but no ice cream with the kids' meals so my kids were super disappointed about that and my husband and I shared ours with them. Again, not a terrible offense, just a little annoying."

Cons: "I suppose it is good marketing to make you walk past the amazing seats in business/premier class on your way past "Premium Economy" back to economy class on the Boeing 777 -- but it did make me wish I had a few thousand dollars to throw away on 13 hours of being pampered. Economy seats are pretty narrow. I am of average size and I was often bumping and being bumped by the passenger in the adjacent seat as well as by people walking up and down the aisle."

Better to wait on the ground than their air I guess but after 11 hours on a plane the last thing you want to do is wait longer. Cons: "I was issued a ticket with a window seat as I had requested. However, when I boarded and sat in the seat I was assigned, I was moved because it turned out that the couple that was sitting next to me had purchased the seat so they could lay down. I was seated at another window seat, but it turned out the couple in that row had paid extra to have that seat empty as well. I was not only re-seated before the plane took off, but then I was re-seated THREE more times until finally being put in a middle seat after the flight was in flight. To top it all off, the plane was so delayed I missed my connecting flight to my final destination."

Cons: "People allowed to bring on too much carry on that will not fit so we all wait in the aisle behind them . Dumb."

Apart from one grumpyish woman on the second flight the majority of crew were exceptional and really went out of their way to serve and help."
Cons: "I slashed my finger fairly painfully on a toilet door while pushing it from the outside to open it on the Dubai to Cape Town flight [again, an upgrade on my home flight which is a bucket list dream would more than make up for that!] which i pointed out to a flight attendant and they took note of it and bandaged me up so it was dealt with well but hopefully that gets sorted out [she said she would write a report] cos it did unfortunately affect the rest of my flight a little... And so many crying babies [thankful for volume control on headphones] but literally that was it - love flying Emirates cos on the whole felt super well treated..."

For a flight in which 60-70% of passengers are Indians, some extra vegetarian meals should be available (for those who do not know how to book it in advance)."

I was told I can only take one bag. This caused me to change my plans on what I can carry on my two small bags. This is also the reason why had to take a small handbag to keep everything I needed. I lost this bag at New Delhi airport. Had I been allowed the the standard tote and a laptop bag I may not have needed the extra hand bag and may not have lost my items. Emirates associate is partailly responsible for my lost items."

Pros: "We started with a 45 min wait on the tarmac before takeoff. Then spent 14h listening to screaming children. Now, I know that isn't the airlines fault, but it would be nice to see where children are sitting when booking on such a long flight! Once we landed, the girl next to me got sick and when I flagged a flight attendant, she simply told me there's a barf bag in the seat pocket - there wasn't - so I had to part the crowd to get that lady to a bathroom. Then it took 45 min to get off the plane! The food was okay and there was plenty to watch (couldn't read due to screaming children). It was a really rough flight."

Pros: "The vegan meals were very good and tasty. I enjoyed the entertainment provided and the plane was very clean. At times the plane was very cold, however the blanket helped with that. It wasn't this flight but the flight from Tanzania to Dubai, the crew sprayed the plane and I would like to know what was sprayed as it was awful and what if any chemicals were sprayed on us. Perhaps it would be better to spray the plane before the passengers board the plane."
Cons: "There was only one flight attendant would didn't assist my friend when we asked her to please take my friend's food tray away. My friend Emily Bayne was having a major discomforting eye allergy attack. Emily eyes were burning, dry, turning red, and very itchy and she wanted to go to the bath room to run warms water over her eyes, however she had the food tray and so we push the attendant help button. But when the flight attendant came to see what we needed and we asked if she could please take Emily's food tray, she just said I will come back later for that. So I told Emily just go to the bathroom I will hold your food tray. Emily Bayne was seated in the middle and I had the aisle seat, 44H. While Emily was in the bathroom I complained to another flight attendant what had happened, she took our food trays and then told her supervisor what happened. The supervisor came shortly and assisted Emily by granting her request and providing her with two warm wet towels, and later 5 more. The supervisor and the other attendant that I complained to continue to check throughout the fljght to see if Emily needed anything else, which was nice and accommodating. The flight after that incident was good, as the supervisor immediately corrected the insensitive act of his flight attendant."

Walked on the plane asked crew how they were and got less than good reply. In flight woman never smiled, overall crew seemed tired and as though they did not want to be there. Perhaps SFO based crew on way home? Tired from flight over to Dubai? But it was really noticeable and a real difference from the flight over to Dubai from SFO 2 weeks earlier."

Cons: "We arrived onetime yet Emirates did not have a gate at SFO so we were parked on the tarmac for over an hour after a 16 hours flight. When we got thru immigration in record time due to the newly installed kiosks, we waited for 2.5hours to get our luggage, there was only one carousel open for an entire A380 airplane with all its luggage and the boxes were piling up on each other, some of them were crushed due to overloading, it took them 2 hours to open a second carousel to offload all of the bags. During this entire time, the Emirates representatives were unhelpful, the local SFO personnel were quite disorganized as well."

Cons: "The booking process was in itself an hassle. We booked two seats initially from MAA to SFO and we had a typo at our end with one of our names. The agent (Flight Network) were not empathetic towards us at all. They were very unwilling to help us. Emirates said they can change the ticket within 72 hours but the process has to be initiated by the agent. The agent were too slow to act on it. Finally I had to cancel one of our tickets and rebook it. After all the confusion they gave us two separate seats. I and my wife had to sit away from each other through out the flight. Nobody was clear about where and if the seats can be changed. The attendants looked disorganized and even rude at times when they were serving food. They only gave vegetarian food to people who were willing to starve and cannot simply eat meat. The rest were forced to non-vegetarian food. This was overall a bad flight. We have flown emirates a few times and enjoyed it but it will not be our first option anymore."

Pros: "Alaska Air is a breath of fresh air in light of the recent problems with United and American Airlines! The attendants were not weary, bored, angry, absent, arrogant or any of those off-putting attitudes. Out of SFO to PDX, one sparkling voice announced: Well folks, let's get this party started!", which brought chuckles ruffling througth the cabin! And, ipso facto, there was a party atmosphere from takeoff to landing at PDX. Her attitude set the tone through some bumpy spring weather. Another her 'day' started at 2am from somewhere before SLC. This was a woman who was so outside the norm for her here-to-fore perceived position that she didn't feel the need to perform her duties with a stoic, reserved, stick-in-the-mud presentation, that I was immediately drawn to her and we had great repartee! Lynne Ledingham, flight 743G SLC-PDX. BTW, my Alaska vacay started at PDX two weeks earlier on a flight to SLC, so I flew Alaska all the disjointed way! I will always choose Alaska in the future and have told everyone I know that Alaska is a very bright light in the travel industry and I hope it never goes out!"

Pros: "The pilots interacted with the passengers (going both ways) in ways that didn't make it seem like, they were just flying their billionth hour. On the way there he thanked us for "enjoying the miracle of flight" with him. On the way back there was an issue with one of the wings. He kept us up to speed with everything going on, even when he made the call to bring the plane back to the gate and get maintenance guys on board. When everything was all set I was comfortable to fly with him. I was left with the impression that Alaska Airlines must do something special to ensure a higher caliber of pilot."

Lisbon customers service at the airport for the most part terrible, upiddy, rude,. It was not difficult at all to figure out once I was in the baggage claim area, however if this was known while we were still on the flight, I prefer to know this info!"

We had to ask for a wet tissue and clean it up. That was of no use too as it wouldn't scrub off. My wife was feeling under the weather and so we asked for a blanket. The blanket was hardly a blanket and more like a towel. We then luckily could switch seats as there were 2 vacant. But, the air conditioner was leaking water in the seat to our left. The crew was callous and just stuck the passenger with some napkins saying it does that. I don't fly Delta a lot and my experience in this trip isn't inspiring much confidence."

Cons: "My first flight (leaving very early in the morning from Burlington VT was delayed several hours because a ground crew member forgot to put the heater on the plane the night before. Because of this delay I missed my connection and instead of arriving in San Fran at 10am, I arrived at 6pm and missed the whole first day of my trip and was exhausted cause I got up at 3am to get to the airport to a frozen plane that was not ready to fly for a few hours during which I could’ve stayed in bed."

Cons: "Kayak a howed my gate as something that didn’t exist at the terminal. I went to a kayak help desk to have a ticket printed that showed my TSA precheck because it wasn’t showing on my mobile ticket, and no one was there to help. I waisted for 10 mins. It then took me nearly 2 hours to get through security. I asked if I could get through quicker and was told I could not, despite it being passed my boarding time. I then ran to my gate where I waited for another 10 mins (no one was there, again) and then an employee came out and said they couldn’t let anyone board once the door was shut. He then directed me to the delta help desk (there was at least 20 people behind me who missed their flight). I then had to pay an additional $75 to get a later flight. The whole experience was awful and I’m disappointed with Kayak and the gate confusion, but mostly Delta and the lack of customer service."

Cons: "Ugh. Weather delays. The flight was scheduled to board about 7P but it arrived late and they had to not only unload the self-loading cargo, but clean up afterwards. Would be nice to get a better estimate as to how long it would take to board so that I could hang out in the lounge. In addition, departure from JFK was delayed as well, either we missed the IFR window or got stuck behind some traffic and I fell asleep on the plane only to wake up what seemed an hour later just getting ready to hit V1. No upgrade."
