Pros: "They did find for us another flight at no extra fee. An agent stayed with us on the line to the bitter end, it took some 3 hours on the phone to sort it out."

Pros: "My plane was delayed due to one of the crew members getting sick. Katie was her repacement, I couldn't of asked for a more pleasant flight attendant. She was accomodating, had a wonderful sense of humor and when down the isle shaking everyone's hand and thanking all the passengers for their patience. What a Gem!"
Cons: "Auxiliary generator broken so plan got hot very quickly. Flight was 2.5 hrs delayed due to another mechanical failure. And then once we were in air they generously notified us that the WiFi was broken. Utter garbage."
Pros: "I'm not sure who did it but I got bumped up to First Class. In the plane I was greeted by one of the pilots and an attendant that offered me a bottle of water and a hot towel. I just finished a long hot day in Texas, and the courtesy and comfort I received on the flight just made my day."

Pros: "I'm an alaska member so I have taken quite a few flights with them and I notice the service difference after a while. Generally the crew was nice."
Cons: "There was no beverage or food service till ~2 hrs into the flight. No air issues etc. that would cause a delay. There was only 1 service in a 5.5 hr flight. The previous crew served us beverages at least 2-3 times and carried water up and down. Coming from +90 degree weather everyone is thirsty. I bought food soon as I got on, I have a toddler.. it was delivered over 2 hrs later, luckily I came prepared with lots of snacks. Also there are no hot vegetarian meal purchase options on the flight to Mexcio/Costa Rica (which was the first leg of our trip) we had to make do with cheese/fruit platters."
Pros: "I missed my flight by mere minutes. It was my responsibility to make it to the airport with ample time, but the doors closed on me with 7 min until scheduled take off. I understand the rule is that the doors close at 10 min before take off. The gate agent immediately put me on standby for the next flight and notified me that there was a good chance I could get on that flight."
Cons: "Did not get to sample the food as I fell asleep as soon as we got into the air. I kept waking up however because the seats were not very comfortable. There was not any space to recline the seats so my back was upright and it was difficult to be in a comfortable position. I have been in worse seats with other airlines, so the seats on this plane were not terrible, but travelers would benefit from an ability to recline, even slightly, and an adjustable neck padding."

Cons: "The overhead bin space of this airplane was too small. My suitcase, which fits on every other type of plane, could not fit on this one. I had to check it and then go grab it at baggage claim, therefore having to go through security again. This was not the most convient for a tight connection."

Why, e.g., didn't anyone go along the queue handing out numbers so people could get food then reclaim their place in line? Why weren't we told, ditto, how long this mess would take to clear up? why weren't we offered o/n stays, etc, etc. Could have done an awful lot better if some manager had spent two minutes thinking!!"
Cons: "Sound system on the in-flight movie was horrible. Headphones didn't work in the jack, static obscured the sound. Tried different headphones but had the same result. Not too much of a problem. Flight was short and wouldn't have had time to watch the full movie anyway. Everything else was great. Staff was amazing. Seats were comfortable. Boarding was fairly quick."

Cons: "I was disappointed that for the first time since I have been flying, they did not allow my carry-on with me. It was not that bad though because by the time I got through customs and made it to the baggage carousel the bag was waiting for me."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed by 3 hours. The delay was announced after we had boarded and sat in the plane. Not acceptable. For the delay all that was served was water after about an hour, and pretzels and soft drink after two hours. Not acceptable."
Cons: "flight was cancelled after being loaded and pulled away from the terminal. waited for over 2 hours on the tarp and then they said the crew had run out of time and could not fly. They took us off of the plane and did not rebook us. It took everyone over two hours to get rebooked for the next day or even two days later. They almost had a revolt on their hand since they did not have a representative talk to us until the passengers started yelling at them. Very poor customer service. Just horrible."
Cons: "Flight cancelled without ever receiving any notice -- I found out when I was in the security line. Waited 1.5 hours to talk to an agent. On standby for 7 hours. No food vouchers. Air Canada agents gave very little information, didn't care at all that they had cancelled dozens of flights."

Cons: "This flight was on Canadian Air under the auspices of United. I was not allowed into the United Club lounge despite the fact that I had business class ticket. I was informed that a business class ticket isn't sufficient for using the lounge when flying domestic. It is only good when flying international. They call that customer service. I generally avoid domestic airlines because of the customer service. The flight attendants were not happy to serve you. It's a small flight but they didn't even offer a snack -- you had to ask for it. And then they brought over a small basket with nuts, chips, candy bars, and a muffin. I took a muffin and it stuck to the roof of my mouth -- very poor quality. When I asked for a snack the flight attendant replied cocktail or soft drink never saying whether or not a snack was available.. She said this a couple of times before I could repeat that I wanted a snack to which she replied you want something to drink with that. I've been on many short flights in Asia and they will deliver a full meal and you don't have to ask for it. There was no entertainment but United did send an email explaining how I could purchase entertainment to play on my own device."

Cons: "I wasn't informed when I booked that the flight was operated by Air Canda's budget variant, rouge, and not Air Canda as was listed on Kayak. I had no option to select seats, and when we boarded I was seated on the last row by the galley with no reclining seats and the florescent lights were on nearly the whole time on a 10 hour overnight flight. There are no seat back TVs and the free streaming service went down repeatedly just like the AC outlet at our seats (there are only two of these for three people). I booked this trip nearly a year in advance, and I am extremely disappointed that I wasn't informed that I was flying a budget airline on a 10 hour flight."

Cons: "Rude staff, no help with my baby, flight attendant repeatedly yelled at me instead of simply talking to me like a Human. Check in attendants almost gave my seat away to a person with a dog, even though there were four other passengers without baby's flying. Then flight attendant yelled at me for "picking" the bulkhead seat- a seat that was given to me after united had taken my seat away earlier that day. I could go on and on. We won't be flying united again and I'm telling my friends with children to do the same."

Cons: "-Flight was 2 hours delayed getting to the gate because they kept saying they were "bringing it from the hangar." Does it really take 2 hours to bring a plane from the hangar? And why didn't they bring it before our scheduled departure? -Flight was then delayed another 1.5 hours because the fueler put too much fuel on the plane so we had to wait for them to send out another fueler to take fuel off. -Meanwhile, I was late for work and almost got fired because of this mistake. -They then proceeded to put my luggage on the wrong airplane so once we landed I had to wait another 1-2 hours for my luggage to arrive. -Meanwhile, all gate attendants had terrible attitudes when dealing with customer. I will never fly United again."
