no kiosks to check in with- it’s 2024!!! the flight was so hot and uncomfortable - not sure if that’s what caused a lady to faint during the flight but i was absolutely miserable.

Air Canada from Edmonton to Toronto was disappointing but Lufthansa from Toronto to Frankfurt was excellent.
Never flown with LH before so all in all wasba good experience. Also good to know that approx 24hrs prior the flight opens up for being able to organise the seating free.
This flight space was way better than our international flight. Efficient boarding and comfortable
I ended up buying (for $340) "extra space" seats because I my flying partner was given a STY boarding pass, leading me to conclude that she was on standby and that we had to buy seats on the flight. I later learned that the flight was not sold out and that we could have gotten on as usual. To be honest, I felt swindled.
Just lucky: After realizing I was on "standby" b/c of a technical seat problem, someone volunteered to go Premium Economy, & I got to keep my Business seat. Found broken headphones, and they replaced them immediately! Excellent food and beverage service. Although we went to ALM first on our way to NQZ, it meant Business class was almost empty for the last 1.5 hours of flight- heavenly!
