The staff seemed to be doing their best in a difficult situation handling a lot of customers. We had a reservation to pick up a car. There were other patient people waiting. It seemed chaotic, like there should have been numbers given to us to give us a clue. We waited for our turn. I paid an upgrade to drive a Volkswagen Jetta. They said a Toyota Corolla was in the same class and that’s what they had. I see now that I paid a lot for the “convenience” of picking the car up in town in addition to Kayak’s fee. That was my mistake.

The price was great The pick up service at the airport was great!! The facility is a bit shady!! The agent was harsh and borderline rude! She made it clear we would be responsible for any damage- they dont deal with insurance companies! I called our insurance agent who advised we return it due to the policy concerns! We noticed damage halfway into the week- never pointed out to us which caused a good amount of stress! Thankfully I learned that my credit cards covers damage and in the end we were not liable! Was the low cost worth the headaches- no way!

Car did not come with snow tires, only car that had snow tires was extra. Car windshield was damaged during travel from rocks on high being flung up and am being charged roughly $830 for the repair for small cracks.

I rented a minivan. I called the agency to check the car insurance prices that I didn't hire on the application and they told me that the agency didn't have a minivan and couldn't have one. So if I hadn't called for some other reason, I would have arrived and they would have made a mess of all my travel plans. Bad service from Hertz for offering it and from Kayak and QEEQ for trusting what Hertz offers. I cancelled the rental and had to pay more at another agency. All bad!

bad, booked 48hrs in advance pickup at 790 southwest marine dr. was set for noon on saturday, ...they were closed and close at noon on saturday..?? called at 11:45 AM on my way there and no one answered so called customer service when I arrived at the closed location, was told that they had no more cars available there anyway...?? was told that i should go to the airport and and book again for 50$ more..?? LOL was told that's the way it works nothing can be done for me even though they obviously messed up... needed a car so went to the other location and there they are refusing payment and can't process my card for whatever reason... don't ever use this service or it's products, just go to TURO it seems as to not deal with any of that BS. Edward

The service was lovely but there were two issues: I had to wait 45 minutes for the car to be ready. Not a big deal to me but may be to other customers. More significant: I paid for a mid-size SUV, such as a Toyota RAV4 or Mitsuibishi Outlander. The car that I was given was a Mitsuibuishi RVR, which is one class smaller and is considered a compact SUV. If this location only has RVRs, then it should be sold as a compact SUV, not as a mid-size SUV.

I had a terrible experience with Alamo. They falsely charged me for pre-existing damage and only removed the charge after I provided time-stamped photos as proof. It was their responsibility to document the vehicle’s condition, not mine. This caused unnecessary stress during my vacation and felt like an attempt to scam me. Their lack of accountability and poor service have lost my trust—rent elsewhere.

I don't like how Budget tries to sell or add "basic" or "premium" insurance to plans even after customers try to pick up cars. The reality is that many people's personal car insurance covers them and will likely be involved even if someone purchases your supplemental plans. Budget is misleading customers who don't know that they can decline more easily than they can and still be adequately covered.

no cars upon arrival. employee gave me someone else's rental. overcharged me $8 without telling me. when i questioned it, employee had a horrible attitude and threatened to take the car back and leave me statnded without a car. he was arrogant and rude. took car and it smelled of vinegar, was filthy inside and the tire pressure indicator came on 1/4 way through our trip. won't rent from budget again.

The pickup process was terrible and very slow and uninformed. It was not worth the discounted price for the poor service. On my trip the car was parked in front of the Airbnb. When I came out on the last morning there was a scratch on the door. When I returned the car the process was equally slow. I arrived early so I would not miss my flight and I was almost late. I have my own zero deductible travel insurance with $45,000 rental coverage plus I purchased their zero deductible coverage. They charged me $500 deductible anyway saying it was their policy. I said that is not ok but that’s what they did. They said my insurance will reimburse me. I hope they do. I would not recommend this car rental company and I will not use them again.

I suppose my biggest and most disappointing conclusion is that I trusted Kayak. Normally/almost always (this is an obvious exception), I check the reviews, but as of lately, my bookings with Kayak have not failed. My experience with Rent Plus was a disappointment. Trust the reviews with RENT plus…. Dealing with them has been the worst experience ever with a car rental company. To start… the young lady at the desk was very condescending and very rude. Definitely should consider a career change. To an extent they are providing customer service and doing a terrible job at it. At one point she literally threw the paperwork at us. Perhaps the most concerning issue was the four-day hold they placed on the large deposit. I have rented cars in the states, Latin America, and other European countries and have never paid a deposit fee in the $Ks. To Kayak, if the reviews are this bad, why continue to do business with them? The take-away… always check the reviews.

They quote a low price but require extra insurance that was 3 times the quoted price. We rented for 4 weeks. The quoted price was 750$. The mandatory insurance was 2,100$. Our total price was almost 3,000$!! Run like mad away from this scam car rental company.

The wait was almost 1 hour. The salesman was very slow. We ended up with a terrible dirty smelly car which was way over priced. He sold us a toll pass, which we knew we did not need, due to the times we were traveling, but we were too tired to say no. The car smelled like pot the entire time requiring us to leave our windows open, in winter in Colorado. The worst car rental experience ever!

We prepaid for a vehicle, pickup after 12pm- there was no way to change the pickup time when making reservations. Our flight didn't arrive until 5pm but given that we had prepaid for our desired vehicle, it seemed logical they would have one there for us. During my flight I get a notice that they canceled car reservation since had not picked up yet, even though it was prepaid! Upon landing, the main phone number would not provide me a phone number for the specific pickup location, said that they would not refund my money, and that i needed to go to the location to see in any car was available for me, at additional costs to me. So we had to leave the airport, unsure if we had a rental car, get to the car agency, and they only have SUVs available for TWICE the price of the car we had reserved! So we are stranded if we dont agree to the additional price. Very much a "Bait and Switch". Remember, we had PAID UP FRONT, there was no risk of them loosing rental money by holding our reserved car for us.

The poor lady at the counter was by herself as the other gentleman was hanging out in the back. 10/10 would not recommend. The vehicle was nice but for $400 it better have been. Stay clear and rent from enterprise.

POOR!!! Absurd pick-up procedures; bad attitude of the employees; there was not a single customer who did not have problems with the pick-up; they did not care that in my case I have a 10-month-old baby who had to wait more than an hour to be able to do an absurd pick-up; the cars have faults, dents and dirt; the check-out was also terrible, I went to drop off the car and the store was not even open; the police recommended leaving the cars on the street and videos for our backup, it was a disaster I would never go back to rent a car there

I believe the fees should be upfront when I booked. The car is the keys and taxes were included, and I’ve got a bunch of other fees that I didn’t feel I needed to pay very disappointed.
