Cons: "First time my knees have touched the seat in front of me (I'm 5-10). Not sure how much more airlines can squeeze us in. Good seat recline is great if everyone is reclining, if not you will have someone in your lap. Had to ask person in front of me to not recline during meal. What really bothered me though was paying for a reserved seat and finding out we had been moved to the dreaded back row due to an equipment change. Strongly suggest passenger notification for this move. Was able to re-reserve seats on check in but there were some significant angst when I found out about this mischief."
Cons: "We only had 45 minutes between flights. We almost missed our flight to Naples due to having to go through security again in Frankfurt. The Frankfurt airport was very congested. I wouldn’t have booked a flight with such a short layover had I known how far apart the gates were and that we’d have to go through security again. I would suggest not offering flights with such short layovers."
Pros: "The crew was nice, however, they also give varying information. We had frequent flier tickets and when I checked in, the screen stated no extra charge for check in bags and I also called the customer service. When I got to the airport in Hamburg, they wanted to charge me $100 for a bag. I asked the lady behind the counter to call the main office because she said she has no authority to change the fee. I called the main office and had the person in office tell the agent at the airport that it is a mistake and that there is no charge."

Cons: "Every flight was late and no effort to do anything about it. Flying in the mid 400’s turned a 1hr 40min layover into a run for the connection. Far be it to use more fuel to deliver on your schedule. I’ve been on too many flights where the pilot found the gas pedal to make up for things on the ground to not think this is Icelandair policy and therefore will have a good chance of happening to me again with them."

As with all airlines the seats have too little room for a transatlantic flight. Boarding areas were very crowded, more than I am accustomed to. I didn't like that I had to pay extra for a checked bag. It wasn't obvious when I chose the flight. The crew was great and very helpful. The aircraft was great and I felt safe and in good hands. I would recommend the flight despite the drawbacks as they are common to most airlines.
I liked the courteousy of the staff. I was sitting in the middle of the middle row, which was not the most confortable spot when food was served but when that was done, I was comfortable and enjoying the flight again.
They got us onto the shuttle bus and then made us wait inside a hot bus because the cleaning crew hadn’t finished. This would have been better had they made us wait in the airport.
Departed on time. Crew was welcoming. Plane was clean and comfortable. Will repeat.
On arriving at my destination in Toronto with Air Canada flight, I found one of my checked-in bag was missing. I had to spend several hours in the airport - first waiting for all baggage off-loading process to complete, then searching with different sections in the airport and finally lodge a complaint for missing bag with Air Canada office in Toronto Pearson airport and it was stressful.
Boarding ok fast crew ok long way and difficult for a connecting flight into Frankfurt airport (get off from a plane and go to security check again for a connecting flight ?)
Flight was cancelled last minute with no reason given. We waited 2.5 hours to get hotel and food vouchers. When our flight was rebooked it was the next day Frankfurt-London-Amsterdam-Toronto! Was told there was no other option. Horrible end to a trip. We’re in Heathrow with our fingers crossed we make it home. Very very poor communication and customer service. Lufthansa says it’s Air Canada, Air Canada says it’s Eurowing, Eurowing says it’s Lufthansa! Very frustrating. Book directly with Airline so at least someone is accountable
Airlines should stop being forced to enforce immigration laws. They are not properly trained to do so.

Cons: "On Monday, September 3, I traveled from Frankfurt to Washington Dulles on United 933 (this return trip to the US began in Rome on Lufthansa earlier in the afternoon). The plane left on time and we touched down at Dulles on time (a little before 8pm EDT), after flying 8 hours. It was 2am Central Europe time. Experience with customs / passport control at Dulles was the worst I've ever experienced, in any country. In my life I’ve traveled to 40 countries (lived in 7) and flown many different carriers. I stood in line 2 (TWO) hours before finally seeing passport control and quickly getting cleared through. There were no announcements of any kind as we waited, and the airport acted as if it were routine and expected that all these people, some with small children be put through this ordeal. There were about 4 or 5 men or women manning the passport control booths, though capacity for maybe 20 more. Some people while in line downloaded the Mobile Passport and were able to then bypass the line. I had technical problems with my phone and could not. Again, NO communication was made by airport personnel or United; we were on our own. Because of this unexpected delay, I had to catch a taxi to my home in Arlington for a fee of $55. I had planned to catch less expensive transport but was already late for a planned event."

Cons: "I booked through the United website as trip from US, have Silver status on United, and Lufthansa's policies of not allowing advance (1-2 mo before flight) seat selection (never on UA nor LH websites) are just horrible. Hard to get through on 800 number, and 1 day before trip answer was still to do it in Frankfurt. Economy plus was $1000 more/person, and even then no guarantee I could choose a seat far in advance. Then, at computer kiosk in Frankfurt, they had a wrong diagram of the plane,as we ended up on what turned out to be a no-recline row which I would never get. I'm 6'2", 230lbs, and wasn't able to sleep on that flight. Had I been able to reserve a seat behind a bulkhead or in exit row 2mos in advance, I would have been fine."
Cons: "It did not register my touch very well. It was hard to navigate through the movies as the scroll interface didn't work smoothly. The whole system needs to be updated, including the hardware."

Cons: "I'm not sure if I missed the fine print saying this flight is operated by United or if it wasn't started at all, but it was a complete surprise on the day of travel to discover that what I thought would be a Lufthansa flight was instead operated by one of my least favorite airlines, one that I normally avoid booking with, for the transcontinental leg of my trip. Because of this, when I tried to upgrade my seat upon checking in, the Lufthansa website redirected me to the United website which in turn just gave me an error. I ended up in a shitty seat for 11 hours. The crew were fine but the quality of the food and snacks served was pretty mediocre and it was clearly an old plane, the Economy seats didn't have individual screens for personal entertainment, we had to watch whatever was shown on the screens for the entire cabin. These small things matter when you're stuck in a seat for 11 straight hours. If I had known it was United I wouldn't have selected this flight."

Cons: "Seating is very tight even for a petite 5’1” person like me. My boyfriend was 5’8” and he was definitely uncomfortable with the lack of leg space. If the passengers in front of you decided to put their seats back? You’ve lost even more space and feel closed in. Thankfully the aisle seat next to us was empty so we tried to stretch out a little bit without spilling into the seat entirely. Entertainment was eh. Two movies from the early 2000s (Alvin & the Chipmunks and What happens in Vegas) and an episode of Tom & Jerry and an episode of Modern Family but from Season 5? Not great if you’ve never watched the series.. About their hospitality... My boyfriend and I were completely disregarded and ignored by a stewardess with blonde hair and thick black glasses... Flight: DE2102 that left September 8th from Frankfurt to San Juan. We received our meals from her AFTER she handed meals to the people behind us - this was not the case for other passengers that spoke German, everyone’s meals up until ours was handed in order.. When it was time to pick up the trays she skipped us both times (with our trays ready in our hands to hand to her) - I watched her pick up the trays from the passengers before and after us. My boyfriend did say “Excuse me” but she ignored him - she probably would’ve paid attention if he asked in German.. She even looked at us as she passed by which blew my mind. Her coworker on the other side had to pick up her slack and was very kind enough to pick up our trays even though we weren’t his assigned aisle. It confused me because she was so pleasant with the German passengers but ignored us even when we made eye contact and smile for her attention.. I hate to say this because I give everyone the benefit of the doubt but to be honest I felt discriminated.. My boyfriend is German (speaks fluent German and English) but I felt because of my ethnicity (Asian) he had to suffer for that.. I felt terrible that he was suffering because of me. No one wants that for their significant other or anyone. Another occasion was when another stewardess was handing us our drinks. My boyfriend’s cup was broken and as she passed it over me it spilled all over my shirt. I did gasp from surprise. No apologies whatsoever.. She seemed impatient and grabbed the cup back over only to put another cup under it. I asked for a Sprite but they only had Cola or Fanta so I was totally okay with Cola “Cola bitte”. My German isn’t that great but I did hear her coworker ask why I gasped and she told her that it was because I was surprised they didn’t have Sprite - very untrue. I was shocked and I couldn’t respond. I have never been so disappointed in a flight and the hospitality. I am very forgiving if an incident happens once or twice, but when I see it happen in front of me over and over and over again? That’s where my tolerance unfortunately crumbles. I was on the verge of tears by the end of the flight. I hope I never fly Condor again."

Cons: "Don't confuse their logo with Luftansa. They are far from it. Known for delays, disruption and breakdowns. Our flight was delayed 4-5 hours on the way to Europe because the food cart didn't fit. Then a delay of 2 hours on way back to US because 3 of the 6 bathrooms didn't work. Had to wait in this prison like gate with hardly any AC and then take a bus to the plane. DO YOUR RESEARCH. This airline survives on those who don't do their homework(Like me) and those who don't take others reviews seriously. Spend the extra money and get an airline that is consistent. Check out Condor's on time rate..yikes."
