Pros: "Short flight just snacks. Was able to get a seat on standby for an earlier flight cutting my total travel time down by a couple hours. Very helpful gate agents"

Nor did i like that the crew barely served refreshments (other airlines have zero issues with this on a DTW-MDW or ORD with a larger plane and equal amount of flight stewards). The route was also akin to being on a rough patch of sea for an hour."

It took forever to change it so that we still arrived at our destination on the same day. Pros: "It would seem that if you are seated toward the rear of aircraft the likely hood of your overhead storage compartment being available to you are pretty remote. There doesn't seem to be any adherence to baggage size regulations and consequently passenger start jamming their bags in other people's allotted compartments. The problem seems to cascade the further back in the plane you go. Very fxxking annoying and you are left holding the bags so to speak!"

I had to spend the night stuck in the Toronto airport with nowhere to safely sleep and my late arrival meant the entire first day of my long planned vacation was ruined. I was supposed to get to my destination around 10 in the morning, instead I arrived around one in the morning the next day. All I got from Air Canada for this trouble was a $10 meal voucher for airport restaurants that cost $25 and were closed during my stay."

Pros: "The idea of READ BOOKS via the in-plane entertainment system. Very limited book choices so not of interest, and often interrupted as the system kept dropping. Great opportunity though to expand Vs boring and mindless TV shows and low rated straight to video view movies."

(1st ever in 20 years of off-line PC use to work on planes), the seats were old and smelled, the in-plane access to movies plug-in didn't work, the TV shows kept disconnecting, crew had no idea how to correct, Montreal airport was dirty and poorly maintained, the one restaurant with service had the worst food I ever ate with promised internet access and PC / Phone charging facilities NOT working. Amazing stuff !!. So awful it now seems funny !...Almost missed my days in and out Sanaa Airport in Yemen with Yemen Air !!!"

When we book online and try to pick priority seating, then find out that the plane is so small that the 9th row means 9 out of 12 or something, this feels like a con. Especially when we pay extra. Stop making people pay for seats that don't get them any priority boarding (Zone 3!) and offer no real advantage."

Finally I PAID for the seat I was bumped from; no one can tell me when I'll get reimbursed."

I had no problem going through security with that amount of spray deodorant flying from IAW, Dulles. DFW airport security says the limit is no more than 3.4 ounces. So they kept my harmless deodorant. I need TSA to get on the same sheet of music worldwide. People don't have time or money to waste having to deal with different TSA standards everywhere they go."

Seats on our 737-900 were tight and didn't recline far but, hey, United is the Wal-Mart of modern air travel. What do you expect?!"

Cons: "I am young but I am in heart failure and have an artificial heart. I had requested wheelchair service so I didn't overexert myself at the airport and was wheeled right up to the gate. There were two other older passengers in wheelchairs, one on either side of me. When it came time to pre-board flight attendants came up to both men and helped them on board. They ignored me. Then they announced regular boarding. I had to remove my bags from my lap and get up out of the chair and go to the gate to say I needed to preboard. The man looked annoyd and said they had announced it. When I explained how no one came to me but they did the others he said I could go now. I said I needed help with my bags and he acted VERY surly and put out. He did help me but I felt like they assumed because I was young I couldn't possibly be sick and treated me like a liar."

I lost an entire day of my family's vacation because of United Airlines and their massive blunder. They said it was because there was no air conditioning, but at the same time they said their crew clocked out and we had to wait for new personnel to man the plane. I find it hard to believe that this couldn't be foreseen and avoided. By the time we finally got our crew, we then had to await for a storm to pass, and then 40 other planes had to take off first. All United offered in apology were $10 vouchers that expire in two days, and a free drink on the plane."
