Don’t expect to ever be on time to your destination. The Montreal-Toronto-Montreal route is AIr Canada’s highest volume route and they are almost never on time. In my experience (20 flight segments in the last 12 months) less than 20% have been on time.

I wish I knew how big Toronto Pearson is and the distance you need to walk when making cross boarder connections.

Get up early if your flight gets cancelled the day before. Gonna be many people at the airport.

Dont layover during midnight at Montreal airport as they close it and they get you out of the waiting area in the gate after 1:30am and also the connecting flights gets you out and then you have to depart from beginning

If you have star alliance status but AREN'T a Air Canada regular, don't expect any favors outside of Canada. For some reason, once you're in the country, all of a sudden you're a good friend.

As for baggage checked in, you are better off carrying it on board or FedEx it to your destination than rely on AC to handle your luggage.
Verified travelerFlew with Air CanadaYUL-YVRMay 2024
People should go to airport at least 90 minutes before the boarding. The security check in the Montreal airport is slow and the lines are long. We were only in the domestic flights terminal. There are a lot of cafe you can buy food after security check, but very limited number of shops there. The lounge in the Montreal airport for domestic flights - business class serves hot breakfast, which is good, but nothing special. We received our suitcases in Vancouver very fast and even faster got on taxi. Great job.
PeterFlew with Air CanadaYUL-YYZMar 2024
Avoid flying between Montreal and Toronto if you can. The total time difference is not significant and you won’t be constantly disappointed by Air Canada if you drive.
Verified travelerFlew with Air CanadaYUL-YVRMay 2024
Plan for rush hour when driving to the airport, Be aware that signage for returning rental cars is poor.

If you want food options while you wait don’t wait until you go to your gate, flights to Fredericton leave an area of the Montreal airport with not many food options

The flight was delayed by more than one hour. The terminal was consequently overcrowded and hot. We lost our car reservation and hit rush hour traffic in Boston, which added two hours stuck in traffic to our trip.

Awesome, the whole way through. Thank you, this is the new Canadian Airline benchmark.

We were given a complimentary seat upgrade which was so unexpected but so lovely!

Porter was excellent. Boarding was a breeze. The seats were a little uncomfortably but the overall trip was excellent.

Only packaged snacks were served. It was a flight at lunchtime and a hot meal would have been a great.

Reserve check-in was very slow compared to regular check-in. Internet was slow

Lavatories broke with an hour to go. At least we were on time.

Chaotic boarding, but mostly my issues are with Toronto airport

Flight delayed by half hour, causing rush to get to connecting flight in Toronto Pearson which doesn’t have good flow for managing immigration check and connections.

Service was amazing, and the plane was comfortable even for this long haul. But they could have more movies selections. But they were still a lot to choose from.

Was a short flight, not good or bad. Extremely cramped and I'm only 6feet 1inches. 295lbs.

Delays happen but communication and care were very low on what ended up being a long day.

they forgot to load our luggage onto the plane and we were without it for half of our trip to Paris. Didn’t seem to have much interest in getting it to us expeditiously.

Loved everything, especially during check in, very amazing people, they were so patient with me cos my bag was overweight. Loved their service. I’ll be using them again.

As per usual, lately, the flight was delayed. I can’t recall the last time a WestJet flight was on time.

Check in agent was good, stewardess was unfriendly and certainly did not have the care of the passengers in mind Spent the whole time on her phone

Average at best. Typical of WestJet these days. Crew far from friendly.

The flight attendants could have been mote professional, talking about other people's life choices loudly and rudely. Delay to board which seems more and more standard with westjet.

I like the leg room in the exit isle..easier to get past people and I did t have to pay extra! Westjet changed my return flight time to a night flight 2 weeks before I left and left me hanging with NO HELP to resolve all the frustration they caused since I booked thru BudgetAir. They receive the lowest of star ratings I can give (if there was negative stars I’d be using those) for customer support and an overall bad score for the rest of the experience! So sad cause they used to good :)

Not having a screaming baby in my row the whole trip would have improved the experience.

The Q400 plane is getting old and very noisy. They should allow the quieter jets fly onto the island.

Both my flights from Calgary to Montreal were pleasant. I should also mention my gratitude to the two ladies at YYC who helped with my check in and went out of their way to assist me.

It got me from A to B in one piece and in good time. Back of seat tv didn't work. Snacks are a joke

I’m a creature of habit and I like to sleep while I’m in the air

Went on an earlier, standby flight, but was delayed so we only save 30 minutes getting to Toronto. AND we were in business class on our original flight but had to go in economy on the earlier flight because pilots and crew “had to” go business. What?!?! The paying passenger (I am Super Elite) has to go economy so they can dead-head employees? That’s messed up. As in my other posts, I only take AIr Canada because there is little other choice for the destinations I need to get to. But I am not proud to show my Super Elite tag on my luggage.

They booked me to travel to Quebec City from Montreal before going to Ottawa, for some reason, then the flight was late and I missed my connection, so I had to fly right back to Montreal to get a flight to Ottawa…..and my luggage was delayed by two days.

Not happened yet. Still waiting in the long checking queue at 5:30 am as my flight yesterday was cancelled.

Do not book a flight thru Toronto Pearson to the US with less than 2 hrs between connecting flights. With 90 minutes (which I had) if your first plane is 25-30 minutes late by the time you debark, walk to go through security again, go through US customs and find your new gate with at least 15 minutes before your departure. If you stop to go the the bathroom you will be lucky to catch your flight, in my case I wasn’t lucky. The airline should not offer flights that do not allow you time to get to your second plane, bad customer service!

The entreteiner was really old,no food for 6 hours fly

My flight from Montreal to Vancouver was fine, but on the flight from Vancouver to Seattle, the attendants forced me and my friend to check our small carry-on bags at the gate when others were able to carry on much larger bags. Then, when we arrived in Seattle, our bags didn't end up in baggage claim for over an hour and a half. The Air Canada baggage office was closed and locked, so eventually, after checking all the baggage claim carousels, we went to the Air Canada ticketing office...where they told us bags were just being dropped now. The almost-two-hour delay was absolutely unacceptable.

Personally, I will not use this fight again. The service is poor, you have to buy even water. They don't provide anything even sneak, you have to buy. They said Personally items for 7 kg. Then they use some measurements, if you have 7kg and if it's not getting inside of their measurements, you have to pay 80$ this is robbery. I will prefer other flight then this. I am désappointement taking this airplane.

It’s a shameful company. It ask as to go to counter to take the boarding pass, they simply send it by email, just to check the bags’ size in a smaller than normal template. DONT USE FLAIR! It will be more expensive than normal airlines at the end.

flight was okay, no wifi, no free drinks but worst of all they lost my son's bike for four days. Customer service was nonexistent - call a number that leaves you on perpetual hold, there's no baggage folks in the baggage claims area (in vancouver). we went up to international and nobody was at ticketing, went to domestic and they had us fill out a form. they could not tell us where the bag was. Anyway, highly recommend you drop an airtag for anything that's worth more than $500. My son's bike costs a lot more than that to replace; I was on pins and needles for four days.

The crew of this flight, specially the flight attendant in the front were the sweetest I’ve had in all my life, I genuinely hope they get a race or sum cuz of their efforts. It was just quite unsettling that the flight took so long to departure. It was supposed to leave at 10:35pm and we ended up taking off at 11:22pm…👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

It’s bare bones but was on time so can’t complain.

Of all the countries I've flown to and airlines from around the world, I have never had such a dismissive an arrogant employee during boarding. After waiting in line for 20 minutes to board, I was sent to a second line for Passport verification. Natalie from Flair, repeatedly tried to scan my passport which didn't work for some reason but was too lazy to input my information manually. Bar code scanners aren't 100% reliable as we all know. She asked me my birthdate 3 times, made me wait to be the last person aboard and then smugly threatened me that my only bag could be charged for (same backpack I used as on my arrival as carry on). Natalie working in Ft. Lauderdale and the was the epitome of lobotomized tiktok brain with the charm of junk mail.

Food selection is very poor and sears are very uncomfortable.

Flight was 3 hrs late and another 2 hrs wait for baggage to arrive on carousel and a $7.00 food voucher that arrived as we were boarding our flight.

Seat rows so close together no one dares to put their seats back. Knees pressed against the seat in front, had to find a position putting my legs under the seat in front. But for 6 hours keeping that one position was ridiculous. All savings on the purchase price are taken back through charge backs for luggage $200 each way, Seat selection $44 per seat or you are seated by a computer randomly. Wife sat 5 rows away. Would avoid Flair in the future

The flight was safe (priority). Everything else is low-cost: too hard, delays, mediocre boarding, cost for carry-on and checked luggage.

The flight was canceled. We only found out at the airport. We had to book another flight which cost us more then the whole trip booked through Kayak. Lynx took our email and was supposed to write us with an alternate flight. We never received an email. They talked about reimbursement which was to be explained in the email (which we never received).

The online system for Lynx air to pay for additional baggage is not satisfactory. I was charged 100+$ for my suitcase when I tried to explain that the online payment was not functional using the app and showed screenshots of the same. In the end I gave up and paid and went ahead.

No snacks, just water.... could have been better. The actual flight was good.

Flight delayed by 4 hours but no communication. With passengers until after the posted departure time became apparent the flight was not going to board even close to on time.

Flight was sent canceled. The absolute most useless staff I have ever witnessed. Utterly careless - literally could not care less. 100% never using this airline again.

Poor communication at the check in counter and boarding gates.

Other then the screaming baby the flight was fine, nothing special

Check in experience was smooth, and the flight attendants were courteous and friendly. Very positive experience overall, thank you all!

Flight arrived late but other than that everything else okay

Great price for a new plane. Only offered water which we knew.
