Check in was smooth and pleasurable as we were kindly welcomed by Luis (if I remember correctly) who was really nice and explained us everything about the amenities, etc. Our room was on the 20th floor so we had a nice city view. The room is spacious, clean and very well equipped. The gym is nice and well equipped as well, the pool was also enjoyable—in the evening we were the only ones in there. The breakfast is absolutely spectacular, they serve everything you might possibly want to eat. Wifi worked very well. Great place, highly recommend!

Pros: There were a few problems with the check-in, but the staff quickly resolved them and made a room available. The hotel is very new and they are still working out some kinks, but the staff was very accommodating and professional. The kitchen stocked with basic cooking items and dishes was nice. The pool is small and the water and pool room were cold. A lot of the rooms have a great view of the mountains and city. The complementary breakfast has a nice selection of hot and cold items, and the seating area has booths with TVs, as well as tables and a counter area where you can plug in electronic devices and eat. The lobby is large and modern. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay!

Cons: No place to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner in the hotel. The hotel could have provided a Bluetooth speaker in every room. I think parking should be free for anyone who is a guest of the hotel, all the other hotels I've stayed does. I didn't see any book or catalog in the room what the property offers, things to do, what things are provided for the guest, etc....

We had brought our own and yes we could have called the front desk for more but then an employee would have been incovienced when the room was booked for 4 it could have been more prepared for 4 persons. Only complaint I have if you really want to know, very minor issue.

It's a real treat for architecture-lovers - some of the lifts are original and much of the original interior detail seems to have been preserved. The staff were excellent, too. I arrived very early and they texted me as soon as my room was ready and before check-in time - much appreciated. The restaurant downstairs did an excellent veggie pasta dish and the staff were really friendly.

Pros: Gorgeous art-deco building lovingly maintained with modern and super-comfortable bedrooms. It's a real treat for architecture-lovers - some of the lifts are original and much of the original interior detail seems to have been preserved. The staff were excellent, too. I arrived very early and they texted me as soon as my room was ready and before check-in time - much appreciated. The restaurant downstairs did an excellent veggie pasta dish and the staff were really friendly.
Cons: Downtown Phoenix on a Sunday - not much going on. Didn't feel completely safe walking around. But, not many people in the States seem to walk, ever, so perhaps it's not a big issue for most.

Cons: Would probably prefer Hyatt because of hot tub. On a St Patty's Day with a Suns game going on, a street celebration outside the door and a fairly full bar... on a Saturday... the rooftop bar and the lobby bar closed by 11:30. Lovely night. Keep open!

Pros: The staff are very personable and also very helpful and professional. They did their best in making me feel comfortable from the people at the front door who were polite and I enjoyed talking to and who were interested in how I was doing, to the counter staff Michael on a daily basis who answered my questions , Evan who helped me to check out to the woman who checked me in to another woman at the counter (I apologize for not remembering your names) who helped me in a matter to both Josephs (engineers), William the taxi driver was exceptional, reliable, knowledgeable and a good driver. Also the Margherita Pizza at The Match is one of the best pizzas I have had and I tried the Kylt Lifter a local red ale which is very good. The rail line (metro) was very convenient. There was also a young waitress from the Old Spaghetti Factory who I had stopped on the street for directions and she was very kind and took the time to look up directions and provided me with info and even offered to give me the money to buy a ticket for the rail which I was not familiar with and didn't have the change necessary but I did refuse the money. I will always remember her kindness and generosity of spirit. As a result of having met this person who was also wearing the logo of the Old Spaghetti Factory on her shirt I decided to go there for supper and both the meal and cheesecake were very good. There was also a man who helped me with the Kiosk at the rail line and appeared to be experiencing hard times as he was limping and had gauze bandage around his upper arm but even when I offered him a tip for his help he refused and told me to pay it forward and do it for someone else. I enjoyed the Wells Fargo Museum the host Steve was very informative and a pleasure to talk to from an actual stage coach to Wyeth and Remington sculptures, it was fun. The Police Museum is worth visiting. The retired woman officer was very interesting to listen to about the changes that took place.

Cons: We had a problem with our first room : 3cm gap around the balcony door which we didn't notice until returning to our room after dinner to find BBQ food smells permeating the whole room and audible traffic noise. They'd clearly tried to repair it but had failed. It was room 807. Thankfully there was an alternative room available so the kind staff moved us. This was 100% better, thank you!

Pros: Everything was perfect. I didn't think true hospitality existed anymore. The room was incredibly comfortable and quiet. Serenity spilled out of the sheets on my King Sized bed. If you need a weekend to escape your stressful life, stay at this hotel. The room service was excellent as well. I assumed the food would be cheap tasting but I was incredibly impressed. I will definitely return and be a loyal customer. Platinum Status here I come!

Cons: Booked a king room and this absolutely was NOT a king bed. Half the lights and outlets in the room did not work. The refrigerator also did not work. Yes, we checked every possibility to remedy the problem. The a/c controls are on a sensor, which you point we understood. However since this is Arizona in July it would be nice to not walk into a stuffy warm room...and worse yet the sensor took 10-15 minutes to kick back on. Lastly the bed was miserably uncomfortable, for the money I was very disappointed- we stay in DT phx often and we will go to a different hotel next time.

Cons: By virtue of being a historic hotel, you expect that the rooms with have historic features, which may be undesirable to some, but going in knowing that they're not that big a deal. The wifi, while free, was pretty slow (a little less than 1 MB), and there weren't many outlets for chargers available. The beds and pillows weren't the most comfortable but were fine.

Pros: I liked the location of the hotel as well as the beds. The room had a mini fridge as well as a microwave which was a bonus. Staff was very polite even when I mentioned a part of the air conditioner had fallen.

Pros: The room had a microwave oven and fridge although I did not notice them at first as they were underneath the TV. There was a Circle K across the road. Great selection of channels on the TV.
Cons: There was a dead roach in the bath tub. I could live with that. The main problem was the couple next door complaining with each other about something and waking me up in the early hours. I did not get a good night's sleep.

Cons: I checked in on the 10/4/2019 and inquired about using my Triple A card or discount for Truck drivers which is only 10%. I was told the rate I received on booking.com would not allow a discount. There was nothing to like. The room had small bugs, the tub no stopper, no coffee pot or any coffee given. The house keepers were lazy. I vacuum the floor, the towels given were filthy. The bed was very uncomfortable I sleft on top nothing was cleaned or changed. The paint from the bathroom ceiling falling, for hour was unable to take a shower, no running water. I was approached by other visitors staying on the premises who were mentally pyscho.Which was quite disturbing. You couldnt walk other then the pavement then having to deal with Dog Bowels (Poop) Owners I watched didnt clean up. There was nothing fresh about there breakfast. Can goods for fruit. No variety of bagels such everything with onion, just raisin bagels which I dont eat. The icemaker no sanitization. I walked to Circle K off of 16 th where it appeared to be a little bit cleaner.

Cons: The room could have been a bit cleaner (carpet and marks on walls), there was little to no water pressure in the bathroom sink. I didn't notice an elevator so we had to climb stairs and lastly had to pull the door handle up rather than down.
