I was happy smiling and talking with other people in the row about families. I gave no reason for them to remove me from the flight. Not one time during boarding or waiting at the gate was I talked to about behavior or anything that might be reasons for removal off the plane. Crappy customer services I don't think they handled this very well at all."

There was very little legroom even though these were sold as first class seats. The plane was old and dirty, the armrests were sticky."

Insisted on sending it as oversize/fragile baggage and assured me that it would be carefully handled and loaded up through an elevator to a special pickup place. I did NOT like the prospect of dashing from one place to another to retrieve both my suitcase and my guitar. (I am a working musician). Upon arrival, I was advised to go to an elevator on the south side of the building, and attendants would help me. No attendants, nothing. Went to an information booth, and they said "oh no, you need to go to the special American Airlines luggage office [at the far other end of the building] and they will have it." Ran down there....nope, no guitar. They said "oh no, you need to go to this elevator on the north side at the other end of the building." Tore down there....no guitar, nothing. Got the attention of an attendant who said he would ride the elevator down and look for it. I was beyond frustrated and worried. Just then, another attendant called out "oh, a guitar just came out on the carousel!" Yes, the regular luggage carousel, which meant that it had been thrown onto a cart and bounced across the tarmac and tossed onto the conveyor belt like a suitcase, which is EXACTLY WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD NOT DO. It managed to survive, but I cringe at the thought of flying with them again."

Received only $30 in compensation for meals to be divided by My daughter and I. I viewed this to be very cheap on the part of WestJest, with no consideration for the value of our time. Cons: "Hello, I just needed to voice my dissatisfaction with this fight. I’m not sure if every Westjet flight I was lucky and had amazing crew members or if the staff on this flight was having a bad flight. Our flight was delayed by 75min. The flight crew did not attend to any requests from the customers for the 75min we were on the tarmac. I asked for headphones and the crew member look agitated I asked made a remark about how nobody buys them so she didn’t know how much they are. She said she would come back with the price, and did not. I had to wait for the beverage cart and then order them again. Then I asked for an additional can of ginger ale. The gentleman said he’ll need to come back (as he was cleaning the garbage). He never came back. I had to hit the assistance button again and got the original woman. Once again agitated and when I asked she said to wait for the beverage cart again. After another 10-15min they started the beverage service again. On previous flights there were delays, shorter like 30min westjet crew members gave free headphones. And those are the kind of experiences I’ve come to expect from westjet. Not the free aspect but flight crew that care about the customers. The entire crew on this flight was agitated and annoyed from boarding and it definitely showed. Small things like even a smile or even sorry everyone, would’ve gone a long way. But when the crew doesn’t care the flight gets 10x longer, and when the flight is already delayed by 25% of the flight duration it comes to a point where you’re counting down the seconds to get out. The delay was unfortunate and out of the control of the company and crew but that doesn’t mean the crew couldn’t still make it into a memorable experience for the guests."

Even at the lowest fare class. Not Westjet, their automatic computer seating assignment gave us seats in separate rows !! When asked at the checkin and also again at the gate, we were told that the fare class that we paid for does not allow seat changes. They simply would not seat a parent and a child together unless we paid extra $25/person to change seats. This kind of gauging for money was shocking. Especially when there were 3 other rows behind us with free seats together !! This was clearly a case of wanting more money. At the lowest fare class parents travelling with children can expect the child to be sitting separately from them. Or pay up more."

Cons: "One of the flight attendants was incredibly dismissive. “Forgot” to ask for my order to get lunch, so needed to call him so he could take my order (he was already in the middle of eating his own food) and of course by then what I asked for was not available, and the options for food were bad. On top of that, the trash from the top of my table was not cleared for a long, long, long time (even though everyone else’s in my section were clean). First time this happens to me in all my years of flying, specially in upper economy class."
Pros: "WS Care Center staff Minmico (think it was her name) arranged the 4:15 flight instead of the 6 pm flight but only because I requested her to check that flight when I returned to the CC to find out if it was possible to get on an earlier flight. I should have been advised when I first arrived at the CC from my delayed flight from Toronto that I could check back at the CC to see if there was a cancellation. Minmico allowed me to use her phone a couple of times to call my husband to advise him of the changes in my flight, which was very helpful. She tried hard just prior to the flight departure to have my bag delivered to the 4:15 flight but was unsuccessful. She gave me food vouchers, which I liked. I also thought the WS CC staff in Abbotsford was very helpful explaining the process for making a baggage claim when my bag didn't arrive due to my last minute flight change - the $100 voucher was appreciated when I picked up my bag the next day."

Crew did not communicate in a timely manner about when we would be flying.The plane should not have been in operation if the computer didn't work and passengers should not have had to wait on the plane for two hours while it was fixed. I missed my WS connecting flight to Abbotsford from Calgary and was only rescheduled on a plane departing 6 hours later! No one at WesJet Care suggested there may be a cancellation on an earlier flight - I had to arrange it by returning to the WS Care Center. I just barely made it onto an earlier 4:15 pm flight but without my bag which was put onto the later 6 pm flight. I chose to return the next day to pick up my bag."

Then she rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed about someone else waiting to get down the aisle after going to the bathroom. The client was had patience and was talking to those around her. The server was verbally frustrated and everyone knew by her words and facial expressions. There was an elderly lady with a cane who she was very brusk and impatient with. Her tone was condesending and dismissive."

It seems that there is no control over the placement of carry on luggage in relation to seat selection. many people entering the aircraft drop of luggage in the bins close to the front of the cabin even when they are sitting at the rear... Simple solution would be to assign luggage based on zone. Zone A to Be Window seat. Zone B to be a centre seat and Zone C to be Aisle seat. Designate a portion of the overhead bin to be A, B and C like the seats. Ensure that baggage is transported to the seat designated."
Cons: "We sat on the tarmac in the plane for 4 hours when 20 minutes into the delay the flight attendants knew they weren't going to be able to fly with us, and instead of cancelling the flight 20 minutes into the delay we sat on the plane for 4 hours while the crew knew we were not going to take off. There were a handful of infants and children (my 10 month old nephew included) and for the crew to keep the passengers on the plane for 4 hours when they knew the flight was going to be cancelled is unacceptable."
Pros: "The female flight attendant and the pilot spoke reassuringly and with friendliness."
Cons: "This was the most negative experience I’ve ever had flying Westjet. The female flight attendant was wonderful, fun and friendly and professional. The two younger male attendants were incredibly rude, rolled their eyes, ignored me, put themselves first (at one point instead of making room for me to return to my seat the blond one insisted I let him pass when it was unsafe for me to do so and nowhere for me to go). I felt demoralized by these two men and it’s both surprised and disappointed me as Westjet staff have a reputation for friendliness. These two men will Discourage me from flying Westjet when travelling to LA again. Not pleasant. Again the women was lovely. I tried to catch the male names but they wouldn’t stop and face me for long enough for me to see their name tags. They seemed to have some inside jokes between them and gave me the sense my requests were not welcome or respected. I am a nervous flyer and this was such a difficult and uncomfortable Experience."
Cons: "The flight from Toronto to Phoenix was even worse than Air Canada. No food available to purchase. Cramped seating. Entertainment system was difficult to navigate...the buttons didn't work half the time, the movies were already playing and all the "bad" words were edited out which changed the entire movie. Waste of time. Would not fly WestJet again based on this experience. And what's the point of checking in online when you're called to verify id again at the check in counter."

I travel a lot and will avoid this airport if I can. I do like West jet but Delta /west jet connection means I have to take my bag from one place to another and I walked miles and could have missed my flight. I am tired. I am going to bed"

Cons: "This was my first time booking a PLUS seat and never realized that row 2A seat sucks. Its a bulkead row seat that is by the window. This seat was worse to sit in than any other seat on the plane. This seat is located were the plane starts to curve in toward the front of the plane reducing the seat width, I have a 33" waist and it was tight. The arm wrests in this row don't come up as they stow your table, as well the leg room is only as good as a regular seat because of the bulkhead location. So FYI do not book this seat on a long flight."
Pros: "The information given by the pilot overhead was timely and well delivered. The flight was smooth and we arrived safely."
Cons: "We sat for 4 hours on the runway. Aside from 1 crew member, they were impersonal, rude, and unaccomodating. They pilot spoke overhead very pleasantly and apologetically and encouraged walking around and using the restroom but they crew gave everyone a hard time. There was no offer of complementary food service or compensation for anyone despite being on the plane for double the amount of time planned. Finally, the in flight entertainment worked for maybe half hour of the actual flight with no explanation or acknowledgement."
Pros: "There was one nice, friendly flight attendant. Nice to have a variety of beverages and pretzels offered (I feel I don't expect this anymore from domestic flights-- usually just expecting the coffee or water option)."
Cons: "The seats were up there with the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced--mostly due to the lack of ability to recline. I feel a four hour flight is sufficiently long enough to provide people some space to relax. We were delayed for whatever reason, lack of communication from staff to the passengers that were boarded really quite early (perhaps too early). One of the staff, while nice enough, was being a bit snarky to people as they were trying to, what I thought was helpfully, give them their garbage."

Cons: "Well, they mixed up my check-in luggage during transit. As a result it got delayed and I had to spend the night without it. Although, I was informed about this miss when I landed in Vancouver, the team did not seem to feel particularly bad about it. Also, the process of getting reimbursed for the predefined expenditure allowance needs to be more efficient. Ideally, in such cases, the airlines should not only refund the check-in fee, but also provide a prepaid card to make any urgent purchases. Their current process requires one to bear the expenses initially, scan/click and send the original receipts and await a response from their baggage team. I am waiting to hear back from them on my submission."

Cons: "This was where the real fun in my trip happened. After my arriving flight got in 2 hours late and sat on the runway for 45 minutes because there was too many planes in the way for my plane to get to the gate I was not in the mood to run across the airport to go through customs and then through security (for the second time). However in order to make it onto this final flight that's exactly what I had to do. I also might add that it is incredibly stupid that connecting flights have to go through security again after deplaning, it's not like we're suddenly going to have weapons or anything so why waste that time? After I sprinted across the airport and got onto the plane the pilot announced that we were waiting to hear from the airport to take off. Long story short the poor pilot was trying to figure out what was going on but no one was even answering his calls. Eventually he realized that the plane hadn't been refueled and had to get a hole of them to refuel. At one point he must have gotten really frustrated because he left the plane in search of answers as the Toronto airport wasn't giving him any. Eventually after 2 hours of sitting on the plane we refueled and took off. On top of that my travel partner didn't get her luggage, we assumed that the Toronto airport lost it somewhere or something. Overall a complete nightmare."
Cons: "I was given a ticket with the seat 3A (one of the plus seats); I didn't ask for it or pay for it, I just got that seat when I was checking. After I found out it was a plus seat, I acknowledged to nearby the flight attendants and nearby passengers I didn't pay for this, that there was a mistake, and I could move if there was someone who did pay for it. What I received from the flight attendants are accusatory remarks/comments about how shouldn't be there because I didn't pay for it (after I acknowledged this before anyone even had an issue about it) and passive excuses that didn't make much sense when I asked them why there ws this issue in the first place. I was fine with moving seats from what I was initially assigned to, I was fine with being moved twice thereafter (first moving to 21E, then to 23E). What I was not fine with was 1. the accusatory tone by the flight attendants that I tried to take someone else's seat 2. even though I was given the seat by the person at the check-in desk when I didn't even ask for it and 3. after I was the one who initially brought up this issue in the first place and was willing to changet seats with he rightful passenger. Please learn to take responibility for your actions and mistakes and errors rather than blaming it on a passenger who just wants a safe flight home. Thanks."
Cons: "Didn't fly on the day I was supposed to fly due to delays. I had to figure out for myself that I wasn't going to make my connection and thus I went back home. We agreed to itinerary for the next day that had a 2+ hour wait at la Guardia and yet I still almost missed the N.Y. to Tampa flight due to delays out of toronto. Had to sprint from one terminal to the other. In Toronto we sat on the tarmac for 90 mins, and this was after dealing with security and other issues with checkin before i even got on the plane. For example, it was difficult to explain that i had already paid for my checked bag the day before. As a result I never got a chance to eat the entire day. And then my bag didn't get to Tampa until later that night anyways. Although the individual staff members were all very nice, there were institutional flaws that made two days very frustrating. I have some sort of debilitating delay on more than half my flights over the last few years, and rarely is there ever an explanation or compensation."

Went to the forward bathroom and airconditioning running strong and bathrooms not in use. I think that in an emergency situation, all passengers should be treated with respect. Letting customers use the bathrooms in business class and receiving the same airconditioning would have been humane."

Cons: "In Dubai, British Air won't allow you check in more than three hours prior to flight time. Since you can't check in, you can't go through security. Since you can't go through security, you can't get to the actual terminal (where all the stores, restaurants, lounges, etc are). Therefore, if you arrive at the airport too early. you're stuck in the outer holding area prior to the check in area. Nothing to do. Nowhere to go. Still weighted down with all your bags. A real bummer. Once you're allowed to check in, it takes about 30 minutes to get to the real terminal (check in, emigration, security, train ride, etc). The flight starts boarding one hour prior to departure. This leaves about 90 minutes to make it through the entire terminal and get to the gate. Any extra time can be spent looking at all the things you could have enjoyed if you could have checked in earlier. Since nobody including British Air told this in advance, we ended up twiddling our thumbs for eleven hours in the outer holding area."

The boarding process in London was horrible. queuing up everybody then telling them the general boarding is "over there". The lines should be more well-defined and single file to avoid bunching up. There was plenty of room to form lines, but the stanchions were not in place. Poorly executed. Also, there are FAR too many priorty boarding classes. People had to jump lines and go around barrier tapes to get to their positions in line when their priority class was called. Once on board, the crew did a fine job, but the boarding area is completely screwed up."

Cons: "We ran 2 hours and 10 min. over schedule getting from London to PHX. I can't understand why because pilot never said we were running late. When we landed we weren't told about the 2hr 10 min. time overage, but my sister said the plane reversed course around Iceland for a while, then turned around again and got back on track, but the PHX cell lot flight tracking board never said the flight was delayed or running late. She waited for me to get out of the airport an additional 3 hours. Luggage took a LONG time to get to the staging area and we had no clue what the problem was. It seems a simple task to put the PHX luggage in one area of cargo, and luggage going on to another destination in another area so 1st off clients could get their luggage and leave. There was a lot of luggage on the carousel that didn't get picked up. Very poor on the ground crew's part. When I have been in the air for 10 - 12 hours, I want to get my luggage and get home. Customs was a breeze compared to getting my luggage. BA lost my luggage at Heathrow on the way to Prague, and on the return had problems getting luggage to the passengers WAITING at the airport. You need to address how you handle customer luggage."

Boarding was by far the worst I've see in the 30 years I'm flying, no order, you could barely understand the person making the announcements. The entertainment system was outdated (screen size and resolution) as well as the controls were extremely hard to use. The seats were hard to use and lean back. A lot of force was required to even make them move 1 in. The AC system was NOT working. It felt like we were inside an oven. I've repeatedly asked the crew to fix the AC along with other passengers, and their response was we are going to look into it. It took over 2 hours for the plane to start cooling down. By that time I was sweating profusely and had a headache. Despite the fact that we made our reservations 3 months before the flight, we did not have a seat assigned and we had to wait, in line, for over 20 minutes to talk to a customer rep in order to figure out what's the issue with our seat assignment. To top all that my wife was pregnant and there were no places for her to seat while we waited for a resolution to this matter."

No... ok you're fine" then we were notified the bathrooms in the middle of the plane were out of order and we could only use the bathrooms at the rear of the plane. There was no WiFi, and the audio system for the on board movies wasn't working. The flight attendants were only giving out cups of beverages and not the full can, which isnt a big deal but still looks bad on the airline considering everywhere flight with American has handed out full cans of soda. The perception was American dropped the ball on the his plane, and just didn't care to do the necessary maintenance. For the his head priced paid for the his hehe see tickets I would've expected better from a reputable airline. Needless to say we were a little disappointed."

Cons: "I called American Airlines as ssoon as I book my trip to set up and make sure my small dog could fly with me. They neglected to inform me their partner, jetstar, does not fly animals. My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected. We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue. I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed."

I also wouldn't have to annoy my neighbor with trying to move and get comfortable. But instead the exact opposite happened and I'm offended you guys have America anywhere near your name."

While boarding, I am told I have to check my bag because apparently the flight was overbooked and there was no room for my carryon. We finally get on the plane and are told by the pilot that we have to stop for fuel - MID FLIGHT!!! I have never had a pilot stop to fuel up in the middle of a flight. And he told us it would take 10 minutes. It took an hour and a half!!!!!!!It completely derailed my connection flight. I missed it and was rescheduled, but wasn't told anything. I get to my new connection flight - that wasn't leaving for another 2 hours mind you - and ask the lady about my bag, because I was nervous it wouldn't get there with the flight change. Her response - "Well, they knew where you were going, right?""
Pros: "It wasn't as terrible as the 1st leg of the return flight"
Cons: "Bad enough the long part of my trip ove seas had no wifi but then the 4 hour domestic flight did not have it either. I had planned to put my flight time to good use and catch up on work so i did not go back to a mountain of work but that never happened. Also, I've never been to an airport where you exit the boarding doors in the terminal then head down stairs to the tarmac to board a bus that make a complete lap of the terminal going near every AA plane obviously trying to figure out which one they need to drop us off at. If can get this close to losing people I now understand how luggage gets lost so often."

Cons: "Our flight was scheduled to depart at 2:45 but kept getting delayed. When the flight was delayed until 7:10, we switched to the 6:00 flight from Kansas City to Phoenix. We were assured our luggage would be loaded about the appropriate flight. Of course, it was not and we had to wait an additional 45 minutes at the Phoenix airport for our luggage. We finally got out of the Phoenix airport about 10:30 -- almost 7 hours later than scheduled. During this time no one explained the reason for the delay; no one apologized for the delay and no one seemed to care. This has been our experience all to often when flying American recently. We will work very hard to avoid American Airlines for future travel and we advise you to do the same."

Cons: "i had my boarding pass and chose my seat some time ago, in row 4. When I checked in, the AA representative switched my boarding card and I was told that my seat was no longer available. When I got to the gate, I spoke to the gate attendant. There were several people also speaking to them about their seats. I did not have a seat assigned to my boarding pass, so I stood until the entire plane boarded and the gate attendants could sort things out. In the end, I was given a seat at the back of the plane, even though booked my seat some time ago and am a Sapphire member. When I boarded, there was no room for my carry-on luggage. The flight attendant already understood what happened. She immediately took my bag, and found a space at the front of the airplane. This is the second disappointing flight in a row in 2 weeks I have had with AA. I'm not sure if it's just bad luck, or has something to do with the company. I had flown with U.S. Airways for years and never experienced any major issues."
Pros: "From start to finish the flight faced problems: unscheduled stop for refueling, change in planes for mechanical problems, emergency medical intervention, and more. Yet at every stage the flight crew and gate staff did an outstanding job communicating and seeking to alleviate passenger woes. With delays, we missed connections, and yet AA worked wonderfully to find alternatives. At the end of the day, we arrived at our destination, and even our luggage made the trip successfully! Pros: "I don't usually complain, and I have never responded to this kind of rating request, but, the American Airlines flight from Ft. Lauderdale to Phoenix was too inept to ignore. Firstly, I wasn't assigned a seat when I booked the flight. Then, at the time I checked in, as no regularly priced seat was reserved for me, I was forced to pay for a premium seat, for both the outbound and inbound segments. Secondly, no snacks were offered on the outbound flight, because "the ground crew forgot to supply the plane". This didn't bother me, but it did infuriate some of the other passengers. Finally, I paid for the GoGo inflight internet, but the download speed was sooooo slow, I finally gave up."

Cons: "All of the overhead monitors at the airport in Cancun said that our flight was delayed a half hour. Because of this, we checked into our gate about 40 minutes before the flight was to depart only to discover that the plane was taxiing out on the runway! We were greeted at the gate with no empathy--told that we were too late & all of the other passengers got there on time & they tried to page us 3 times! We were close by & never heard any pages. The plane left before it's scheduled departure time. We explained that the monitors said it was 1/2 hour delayed & they said, "never believe the monitors." We were treated very coolly by the two agents assisting us. Moral of the story: although the monitors in the US are the most up to date regarding departure/arrival times-- those in Mexico are not to be trusted. We were re-routed & got home hours later than planned!"

This does not seem very considerate of our health during a Pandemic especially with their messaging about social distancing. They also did a very poor job of keeping people patient in the deplaning process. They should have better messaging and a very non threatening way of encouraging passengers to be patient and courteous. Maybe they good offer each passenger a choice some type of goodie like a mint or a chocolate that says "please enjoy this while you wait for others to exit the plane"."

Cons: "Several people got on the flight with no face mask on. The flight was completely packed, there was no distancing at all. The boarding process required me to walk past everyone as my chair was in the back and I was last group to board (unlike other airlines that have switched to back to front boarding to reduce people coming in contact with each other) As I walked down the PACKED plane mot people had masks on incorrectly (hanging off one ear, down around their chin, nose out, etc.) some people had no mask at all and the flight attendants did nothing. It seems like they were doing nothing to keep passengers safe from COVID-19 spread. Compared to Delta, American Airlines was terrifying to fly, I find not feel safe at all."

Cons: "I always have preferred American Airlines but they seem to have constant problems with the aircraft these days. This causes delays and missed connections. This in turn causes no breakfast or lunch or dinner opportunities. I travel with snacks in my bag at all times now just in case so I won’t get sick for lack of nourishment or water! This last flight I missed my connection altogether and had to take a shuttle home, then catch a ride back to the airport to pick up my luggage and then get my car to drive home. It was 4 hours past my expected time home."
Pros: "The trip started off poorly with a day delay and rebooking hotel and car at final destination. Not to mention our final destination is San Antonio not Phoenix. We were not rebooked for a flight from PHX to SAT. But after a few hours we were finally booked. We didn’t really appreciate the 7 hour layover at 0100 in the morning and nowhere to get a meal or even coffee. However, the flight had the same crew from the night prior and they were excellent. The flight was open so we were able to get more leg room, less waiting time for the bathroom, and pretty much one on one service from our flight attendants. With all the struggle in the beginning, this particular flight was actually the best flight I have been on."
Cons: "We were ok with the hotel and meal vouchers however, again, the only part of our itinerary looked at was the first flight, not the second into SAT. Had we not questioned the agent, we would have been stuck in PHX with no room, no car, and if we eventually would have gotten a flight, our reservations for car and hotel in SAT would have been cancelled and I would have been out $1700. I already lost money but it could have been worse. Basically, I am paying for a car and room that I am not currently in. Reimbursement for that would have been nice. Either way we will still travel using the travel service and this particular airline in the future."
Pros: "Not much crew stayed in back almost the whole 6 1/2 hr flight and seemed not to friendly"
Cons: "It would have been better if they had departed when they said they were going to after a delay. Flight was delayed first 1 hr then two more hours. The airline finally posted that it would depart a 4 PM and we didn't even start boarding until 5PM. Then they tried to rush us on so that everyone was standing on the HOT jetway for 10 min waiting to get on the plane. Plane didn't take off til 5:35 PM. Over all on this trip I had three flights that were delayed. I'll think twice before taking American Air again."
Cons: "Flight arrived over 40 min late and despite my connecting flight still being connected to the gate I was told I couldn’t board. There were 5 people trying to connect to the same flight so it’s pretty rediculous that we were told to rebook when the plane didn’t leave the gate for 15 more minutes. This was the call of the airline and it was handled poorly. The rebooking agent was also extremely rude and seemed totally self absorbed. This was my worst flying experience out of approximately 50 flights this year. Never again American."
Pros: "The Flight crew was courteous and took care of us despite a series of extremely unfortunate circumstances."
Cons: "Due to a computer malfunction we were stuck on the tarmac for some time, when it was decided to find a new gate to return to. /The tech crew eventually gave the all clear and upon returning to the tarmac, the same computer malfunction occurred, and again we had to return to the gate. This was all totaled 2.5 hours on the Tarmac. Finally, some 5 hours late we departed Miami in a different plane. Upon arrival in Phoenix, the captain wearily announced that there was no ground crew awaiting us, so we had to wait some time on the tarmac there to disembark. Never before had I heard a airline captain encourage the passengers to write a letter of complaint to his employer."
Cons: "I arrived at the airport and had already checked in and had m boarding passes. For some reason they could not find me when I went to check my bag. After 30 minutes they saw that my seat assignment had been changed and that is why my boarding passes that I had printed at home did not match what their computer showed. I booked this reservation in May and had a seat chosen fairly toward the front. I am 73 years old and the closer to the front I can be helps. When I finally got on the plane to my surprise my seat was the very last seat on the plane across from the restroom. People continued to leave the door open after using the restroom so had to get up and continue to close the door or look at the restroom the whole flight. There was never any explanation as to why they did this. As a result, being lst off the plane, I almost missed my connection as I had to go two terminals over for my connection. At my age I cannot run so I arrived as the last people were getting on the plane. I will never fly American Airlines again."
Pros: "The crew was great and made light of a relatively tense situation. This was a connecting flight for many passengers which was delayed so many of us were missing our connections. The crew still did a great job keeping everyone comfortable and boarding us quickly."
Cons: "Unfortunately our plane was grounded in Chicago before our leg of the trip even began. By the time it arrived in YYZ many of us would already be missing connections. Due to a smaller plane we have to stow most of our carry on below which caused a bit of chaos while disembarking trying to retrieve bags and hustle to the next flights. Since I knew before leaving YYZ we were quite delayed my husband drove to ORD to pick me up instead of waiting 24hr for the next flight to St. Louis. It added 8 hours of driving for him to an already long day but we made the best of it."

Cons: "There is not enough space to list everything. I paid $800 for a normally $300 flight, then paid an extra $75 for the ability to board early so I could store my very small roller carry-on. The in-bound flight was 2 hours late and even though I could track that easily, and assumed our flight would also be two hours late, the AA website insisted the outbound flight would be on time. So like everyone else, I went to the airport. And it wasn't until just before the original departure time that the update was indicated. Really?? If I knew the flight was going to be two hours late,that means AA knew, and didn't care enough about their passengers to advise them. Then when we boarded, my bag was taken away for gate check because the flight did not allow roller bags. After I paid extra. How can AA not advise you when you book your flight that roller bags would not be allowed?? Talk about a money-grab. I unfortunately have a return ticket and am not wealthy enough to throw it away and book on another airline, but I would if I could. I will never fly AA again and I will share my story far and wide."

Cons: "This turned out to be a 'code share' flight operated by American Airlines. As such, neither Qantas nor American Airlines would allow me to buy premium seats so we could have extra leg room. They said the 'code share' blocks seat sales! Be ware Also found out that American Airlines does not serve meals on flights from Toronto to LAX. I was told they only serve meals on "international flights" but that I could buy a sandwich or snack. Unfortunately they only had 4 sandwiches on board , which sold within the first 2 rows of the plane!"

Cons: "Tight connection from our previous flight yet the counter folks were rude and rushed us. My daughter is obviously 7 months pregnant. Because our connecting flight left milwaukee over an hour late, we had no time to even grab a sandwich, no problem we will buy food on the plane. Wrong! The food is was gone so quickly that by the time they got to us, they were out of everything. Oh did I mention we also had 3 children ages 2, 7, and 9. Oh yes and the entertainment? Small screens mounted on the ceiling of the plane. How about updating your equipment?? Plane was old. No USB to charge your phone and stream from their App. Terrible. We own a 2nd home in Maui and travel there twice per year. Looking at other options."

Cons: "The plane had a very good entertainment system with a lot of good movies, but the flight had no earphones available, so only the passengers that had their own ear/headphones could use it. Other than that, the flight attendants were not kind in any way and items present in the onboard menu, were not available, as I asked for Pringles and there was none. I did not see anybody eating some food in this flight, other than the mini pretzels served. How a 3hour flight arriving at 09 PM, had no food onboard?"
