Poor customer service, no headphones given even though all seats have tv screens - such a small thing can make a difference to overall experience eg providing headphones. The check in and boarding forbthis flight was an absolute joke. Two men were about to have a fight due to how irritated everyone was for standing in line for so long. No need whatsoever. Meanwhile 3 staff sat at the ticketing desk and just watched the line grow! When I asked for assistance they brushed me off as if I were a flea! Athens Swiss airlines ground staff are up there with the worst customer service I’ve seen."

Cons: "While waiting to board SFO-ZRH flight Swissair personnel walked around and randomly pulled out passengers from line to check luggage dimensions. Since manufacturers adhere to airline baggage standards, no violations were found during checks. This misguided effort only resulted in publicly humiliating Swissair customers. Boarding process was pure pandemonium...this was the first time in recent memory, where all coach passengers were invited to board at the same time! Very inefficient! Crowded seating in coach,with ten passengers sandwiched in across Boeing 767 aircraft. Competing airlines flying identical aircraft have nine across seatings Thin seat cushions cause leg cramps after a few hours."
Pros: "I was gratified to see that the 777 Boeing aircraft have now replaced the older Airbus aircraft..... This is my sixth time traveling to Switzerland from San Francisco on Swiss....Their service in my opinion remains excellent......The cabin crew was cheerful friendly yet remained very efficient at the same time... The food was very good, , The two meals that comes with one's Ticket still also comes with complimentary beverage service .... and even a warm moist towel is offered towards the end of the flight ... not bad for a seat in coach ...."

Eventually I appealed to another one of the flight crew who allowed me to urinate, but it was over five hours I had to pee and was inexplicably not allowed to."

Despite 5 calls to Swiss to reroute me out of Montreal, an airport I could actually get to, they would not relent. I finally just drove there and a really nice agent changed my flight since Logan was closed and all public transport was shut down. Even if my scheduled flight from boston wasn't canceled (I have no idea) they were incredibly unhelpful about the fact that I physically could not get to logan in time for my flight. (Mass DOT was asking everyone to stay off ALL roads). THEN on the way home, they would NOT let me fly back to Montreal where my car was!! WAY TOO RIGID RULES. Screw the customer!"
Pros: "After almost completely adapting to the spartan amenities of US domestic airlines, my recent SWISS flight had a too-good-to-be-true quality that rendered my travel companion and I giddy with delight. My dinner (one of three food services) consisted of chicken, potatoes, steamed broccoli, salad, a dinner roll with butter, gruyere, and a strawberry tart... included cream and sugar signaled an inevitable coffee service. This was accompanied by complimentary wine and sparkling water, and heavy-weight stainless cutlery. The seat reclination was good, and the in-flight entertainment was a cut above. Coming off many Frontier flights with pay-for-beverage service, no leg-room, and un-reclining seats, it was about as good as coach can get. I'm actually looking at SWISS routes first before I plan my next vacation."

If you want to do it for security reason do it ( I want to be safe) but don’t do it for the check mark , it doesn’t make any sense and doesn’t protect us."

I am very glad that you asked me for my opinion because I am using my free time to demand full refund, even tough the damage is much bigger than the cost of the ticket and it's irreplaceable."

Pros: "I really liked the "About my flight" application on the viewing screens because it always gave me an idea of what we were flying over and how much longer we woulld be in the air. The food was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised that I could have wine with dinner or any time the attendants offered beveragess. The attendants were always professional and helpful. They all were fluent in English as well as several other languages. It was a nice touch when the attendant wore white gloves when he or she was collecting passengers' trash after meals and/or beverage service. I loved the cheese that was served at dinner. The warm croissants served at breakfast were a very nice touch."

The flights between Zurich and Brindisi were more comfortable than the long haul flights. The long haul flights are abominable and should be outlawed by governments as they are currently configured. The boy next to me literally could not fit his legs/thigh bones in the space provided by his seat. I did okay as I am not tall, until the woman in front of me decided to lean back. It is not her fault, however, though I thought nasty things about her and periodically tried to dig my knees into her back to get her to lift up her seat. The fault belongs entirely to Swiss Air, which chooses to treat human customers as steerage. The only thing that made the experience worse was the impossibility of choosing my seat online for my return because I had only a smart phone with not-great wifi available. Choosing one's seat should not be dependent on having good wifi and a computer, however. It is bad practice to "sell" seat choices. The families around me were not able to sit together because of this shoddy, greedy practice on the part of the airline. It is also not fair, subsequently, that other passengers are faced with giving up the seats they've chosen, or been given, to assist families in sitting together. Honestly, the extent of the greed on the part of airlines nowadays is astonishing. What used to be a thoroughly enjoyable way of traveling has become an ordeal at best."

Then when we got to the airport there were long lines to check in and no machines to self check in. When we finally got to the front of the line the woman said we had to pay for our checked baggage elsewhere and then come back for the boarding passes. Unheard of elsewhere. The people in the office where you pay for checked baggage took their time and chatted and had no sense of urgency. The first woman we spoke to apparently filled out the form incorrectly. We had to rush to get to the plane and we barely made it through long security lines. We almost missed the plane due to the lack of early information and check in, the cumbersome payment process, etc. It was the worst check in process ever."

A day after I perches a multi destination tickets I called Swiss air costumer service requesting to upgrade my tickets to business class. no one would even try to help me. They just kept saying I need to contact my travel agent. After 3 phone calls I gave up and decided to wait and upgrade my ticket at the airport. 2. In Prague the night before my second flight I hurt my knee real bad to a point that I couldn't walk at all. The next morning I call Swiss air costumer service again trying to explain them my situation telling them I can't fly and won't be able to make it to my flight. Costumer service cancelled immediately all of my remaining tickets and try to sell me new tickets for a full price. I said I don't mind buy and pay for the one flight I missed but there is no reason for her to re sell me the rest of my tickets that I already paid for, again. Then she start to change prices up and down like in a Chinese flea market. At that point I begged her to talk to a supervisor but she Kept ignoring my request and just try to negotiat for a lower charg she kept me on the phone for 5 hours. My hotel phone bill for that one call cost me 150€. I never got to talk to a supervisor but she took down the charge to 517$ Not included a new ticket flying out of Prague. 3. For my last flight going home. I showed up 2.5 hours Earlier. asking to upgrade my sit to business fin desk send me to talk to asupervisor. The supervisor was trying to process my request but didn't seem to know what he was doing at all. One minute he was on his computer then the next minute on the phone with Swiss air headquarter then back on his computer for more then 35 minutes with no resolute. I still had an hour and half before take off when he told me he can print me the ticket but it's to late now since the gate for my flight is close and I already missed my flight. I said that's impossible cause I still have an hour and half to my flight but he insist on the gate been close and there is no way I can get on that flight. Right away I run back to front desk asking them to print my ticket as fast as possible cause I would really like to get on that flight. In front desk they told me not to worry cause I got plenty of time to get on that flight. So I gave up on the business upgrade and told them that at that point I'll be just as happy to sit by the window. Of course they put me on the very end exactly in the middle. After the door was locked I looked around and saw plenty of free sits available including by the window. 4. In Zurich I finally managed to upgrade my last flight coming back to Tampa fl to business and noticed that the only way they could do that was by contacting Swiss air headquarter for approval. When I asked why is that since I fly a lot and never seen anything like that before one of the lady's there told how Swiss air left all of their front desk powerless and all decisions must be made by headquarters."

(luckily, a nice attendant came by and apologized, as I know it was not her fault the food came out like this. 4) Rude attendant came over 25 mins after I had turned on my attendant button to ask for a bottle of water. (I turned it on while they were still serving drinks) (also forgot I needed water to take some medicine that required to drink a full glass) She came up to me and my fellow passenger, yelled at BOTH us while she was waving her hands our face. I mentioned to her "it's not polite to treat people this way" she moved her hands closer to my face thrusting her whole body over my fellow passengers face, and continued yelling at me about turbulence (while she's completely avoiding the rule herself.) He and I were both seated and buckled and not bothering anyone. She could've just taken her own lecture and kept ignoring the signal. I wrote about this in customer support letter that the 'NICE' and 'Helpful' attendant Gave to me that sincerely apologized for the previous attendants behavior."

Instead of sprinting through the airport, a man was waiting for us immediately outside the plane. It was incredible service and everyone was super friendly. We so appreciated them making sure we caught our connecting flight!"

He first started to give my gate number, but then said there won't be flight to Amsterdam until the next day. I was very worried. When landing it was very difficult to find anyone working for Swiss to assist me. Then someone told me that my flight would be leaving in 3 minutes. I asked to be rushed through line, but everyone said not too worry because plane would wait for me. When I arrived at gate there was no one there. Then it took quite a while to find another Swiss employee to help me. There seemed to be a lot of confusion."

Cons: "My seat had been given to someone else also, and they boarded before me, so I had no seat for some time. I was told to stand in the back, which I did for a long time. Eventually I sat down on the edge of a place and a stewardess snapped at me. I've had back surgery recently, so all of this was very difficult. Finally given a seat. No internet--big drawback on overseas flights. On our trip there, one bathroom was a mess, plus out of toilet paper. Told the stewardess, and they closed it for a while--took some time for it to be attended to. The entertainment choices are VERY slim--don't know why a more extensive list of choices could not be made available."
Cons: "On my return journey I was told at check in that there were delays that would mean missing my onward journey from Zurich. I was then rerouted through Istanbul with the promise that I would be well compensated for my troubles. I was told that I would receive a certain amount for every hour I was delayed from my original arrival at end destination. Well I arrived 8 or more hours after I had originally expected (and the reason I booked with Swiss Air was because of the timing and the apparent luxury of the flight). Once I got back home and tried to pursue this amazing compensation I received some of the worst customer service ever and received 0 compensation for the experience. Very disappointed and will never fly swiss airlines again."

Cons: "My entertainment system would not turn off, which made it difficult for me to fall asleep. I asked a flight attendant for help and she said she would reset it. However, the reset did not work and she never came back to verify whether or not it had solved the situation. I finally gave up and put a blanket over the screen. Furthermore, the meal service was very slow. It seemed as if most of the staff was very young and likely inexperienced. Perhaps it would be better to mix younger, less experienced staff with more seasoned staff. I flew three other Swiss flights during my European vacation and the service was much faster. Incidentally, most of the staff on these other flights were older and probably more experienced."

Cons: "This (attempted) flight was like living a nightmare. The aircraft had a problem with the A/C, so we sat in the extremely hot aircraft on the tarmac for 2 hours while they tried to fix the problem. Then, when we were finally told that the aircraft could not fly, the Swiss staff said that we were "not allowed" to leave the aircraft. After stressed passengers confronted the crew demanding to be let off the aircraft, we went back into the terminal to wait for hours in line as just two Swiss staff filled out hotel vouchers by hand for over 200 passengers. Adding insult to injury, we were then told to wait for a hotel shuttle at the curb, despite the fact that the shuttle had stopped running hours earlier at midnight. I didn't fly to Switzerland until the next day, losing hundreds of dollars on a missed hotel stay in Zurich, and travel plans. And it was an awful start to my honeymoon. The way the Swiss staff treated us was unconscionable and insulting. They have not responded to my several written complaints, so maybe Kayak can help!!!"

The one time when I thought the staff faltered was when I hit the paige attendant button, and noone came for 25 mins. I ended up walking to the back of the plane and asking for water myself. I also thought some of the materials used in the plane were cheap, like the foldout tables on the back of the seat, the pillow covers, and the headphones (one of which broke midway). The headphones don't cover the noise of the jet in flight very well."
Cons: "My baggage never made it on my first flight due to a strike by Swiss airlines crew. The flight was delayed and we were told it was because there was less crew and it was taking some time to get our baggage on the plane. Due to the delay, I missed my connecting flight and was rescheduled for a flight the following day. When I went to get my checked bags, I was told they never made it on the plane and were indefinitely in the first city (Barcelona). I was told to file a complaint once I got home (US) and then they'd forward the bag to me. I did not receive my bags until 5 full days later, in which I had to call every single day and ask to place more request to move the bags from one city to the next. If I hadn't stayed on top of it, I surely would not have received my bags. Also, when I checked my bags in Barcelona, I had to pay an extra 75 Euros for having a second bag although the weight limit was not surpassed. The guy at the counter was really nice and didn't want to charge me but due to the strike, the policy was really strict on a one bag limit. That I understand, but I did file a complaint and request to be refunded that 75 Euros since the service that I paid for was not completed on their end until 5 days later. I'm really hoping they refund me but not gunna bet on it."
Cons: "The handle of the pull-stick that slides into the suitcase was broken off with the pull-stick sticking out of the TUMI suitcase. Used a pen point to release it and get it back into the suitcase. No handle so it was impossible to drag the suitcase. The ground personnel representing Swiss Air at the Boston Baggage carousel was a novice, had never filled out a baggage claim form before. Told me they would phone me. I am a bit skeptical about this claim. Not sure if it was Swiss Air of the local ground personnel who damaged the suitcase."
Pros: "The entertainment consoles are great, plane is modern and clean, staff on board are very considerate and helpful. Flight left and landed on time and our luggage arrived intact. Everything that we paid for we got."
Cons: "The space between the seats is very small, and the seats recline very far, I found myself a bit too tall to fit in them comfortably, as even reclined my neighbors seat was nearly pressed against my nose. My much shorter girlfriend did not have this problem, and slept through the whole flight. SWISS only has one or two check in agents at LAX, and the wait was about 3hr to process the 300-odd passengers on our 777. I know they're only running a flight or two a day from LA, but I am sure there's a speedier and more efficient way to check us all in."
Cons: "While waiting for boarding I overheard a young woman, who was traveling with several companions, screaming to her mother on the phone that she and her friends had all gotten bedbugs and were in agony! She was making plans to leave all of her bags in the driveway when she got home. I discretely let boarding staff know and was told there is nothing they can do about it. They also cannot change my flight, or my seat, in the event that I am seated next to the person with the issue. They did give me a bag in which to place my carry on before storing it overhead. But once on the plane, I realized that my checked bag would be thrown in with everyone else's. In addition, I had forgotten to preorder gluten free food. The airline had nothing gluten free to offer me on a prolonged international flight and did not even offer to produce any gluten free snack (peanuts? cheese?) to tide me over. My luggage is still sitting in my car awaiting a process. However, in the unfortunate event that it has come into contact with bedbugs it may be too late :("

In Istanbul, I was not allowed to board on the flight to Tel-Aviv. I was not allowed to stay in Istanbul. Crew (Erin Uler) who stopped me from boarding the flight said he would help, but disappeared. Othes kept sending me back and forth between transfer desk and sales desk with inconsistent advice every time. I had no way out, so decided I will fly to the closest European country. This was after I had been back and forth for 7 hours. I had to pay full for flight to Greece. I asked to be sent back to D.C. they could not even work that out. I have a return ticket to fly back to Washington D.C. with Turkish Airline on 1 Jan and they said they will need to re-ticket my paid return flight as well. Turkish airline crew did not would not help me fix my return flight back to D.C. They have asked me to contact the agent ( Kayak). Now I am stuck in Athens, a country I have never visited nor planned to. My tours & accommodation, all paid for in Israel, I have lost. I had a tour fully paid in Israel. I have no ticket to return back to D.C. even though I paid for ticket with cancellation insurance when I bought the ticket. The advice between Turkish crew who checked my passport (official) while I was flying out of D.C. vs the Turkish crew who stopped me from boarding was inconsistent. If I had been stopped in D.C. I wouldn't have had to face the events that followed. Now I have lost my tours, hotel in Israel. I had to pay extra for flight to Athens and I am paying for hotel and sundry in Athens while waiting for flight out. Turkish crew at Istanbul were not only unhelpful but rude and inconsistent. While I was waiting for 8 hours for a firm information, shouting matches between Turkish crew and customers went on at least a dozen times. Inconsistent information from Turkish staff has led me to be currently stuck in Athens. I am waiting for a way back to D.C. There should be a rule that fines an airline if they board people without accurate visa papers and they fail to check it. There should also be a fine to the airline if they stop people from boarding at a transit airport leaving passanger stranded with nowhere to go or return. I ask this issue to be looked at, as I am currently stuck in Athens. I need a ticket to go back to D.C."

The security area is not properly designed for accomodating many people at one time and the officials (actually two cleaning personnel) who did not speak anything but Turkish were manning the entrance. Even when I showed them my boarding pass they just rudely shooed me away!"
Cons: "I was disappointed that the two female flight attendants on my side (seats A&B) did not come across friendly, and any request appeared to be a bother. At one point I requested bread and butter, the flight attendant seemed annoyed and said if she can find some, and never came back to me. I went to the galley, where a male flight attendant was working on something. I requested some bread and butter from him, was met with s smile, and was able to locate a roll and butter for me in under a min. Please note, I do not think this was a gender issues, it just happens to be the situation with this case, and I specified it as I do not know the names of the flight attendants, but the airline should be able to identify who was working the different sections."

Then their agent said "You can't always trust the people at the desk, you know." Oh, really? If I can't trust your own agents, who can I trust, exactly? It turned out that we had an initial flight to Minneapolis, which was NOWHERE on the itinerary, on Sun Country. The Sun Country folks, thankfully, were enormously helpful and we made our flight with 2 minutes to spare. But it doesn't end there. We'd paid for business class all the way, but only got it on the interseas portions of our flights. And they lost our luggage on the way home, to boot. Take home lesson? NEVER FLY WITH CONDOR. I'll walk to Europe before ever booking with them again. And I'll make sure that all my friends and colleagues, all of whom travel extensively, know of our experience."

The staff tried to appease the many different situations as best they could, but they got wore out before the end of the the flight. There were people not sitting in their assigned seats, so mealtime was totally boggled and some got fed a full hour before the rest us is on the tail end of the serving. The last meal ( after I FINALLY got food, we had turbulence, so they stopped serving drinks to go with the meal, and no one ever came back and continued where they left off, so I ate my meal without a drink. I don't blame the airline because it was the many children in that section that made it absolutely miserable for everyone on board, but it was the worst flight I have ever taken...hands down."

Everyone waiting for the bathroom was in my bubble. To add salt in the wound, the TV and light for reading also did not work. This was the worst flight I've ever had and I feel Air Canada put these 2 seats there as a money grab. No one should ever have to sit there, especially when paying full price."

Cons: "When there is a delay, even when weather related, show some empathy and feed stranded passengers!"
Pros: "I travel a lot. I have to say both Air Canada and Kayak did a excellent job to remind me via email and text message to check-in online 24 hrs before my departure, never fail. Kayak also keeps on updating me about my flight on time or not, gate number etc. As a traveler, these features are very important. keep up with the good work!"
Pros: "Airline provided a flight to Toronto, with reasonable amenities and boarding process."
Cons: "Had to load my own suitcase on the luggage belt - I am elderly, with back issues, traveling alone. Attendant was courteous and helped me, but stated that staff "doesn't do it any more" because of safety issues. No help will be given in the future. Plane left two hours late - I missed my connection. Was given a stipend for an overnight stay, but no explanation was given about the delay. Staff couldn't tell me if my checked baggage was on the plane the next morning. I probably won't fly Air Canada again."
Pros: "Good breakfast."
Cons: "Cabin was cool"
Pros: "I liked the clean cabin, decent service during meals and overall amenities offered. The plane itself was quite nice and more comfortable than most."
Cons: "The food seemed to be quite a small portion. The chicken entree was normal size, but lacking in taste. The side was also bland in flavor but a good mix of veggies. I would have enjoyed another small snack, such as cheese and crackers or some such. The movie list was fairly good with somewhat recent items. The TV list was lacking in choices, it seemed. However, that may be the content of modern TV. Access to the toilets were often hindered by staff, especially in the rear of the cabin. We were 45 minutes late. I was already booked on a flight 5+ hours later, which was nice. However, I was given a only a food voucher of 31CHF. The amount was wonderful, but they offered this at a time when I had already eaten on the plane and was not hungry at all. I could only buy a few things to eat or take with me, and the rest of the amount was wasted. Alternatives, could have been a partial refund, a visa gift card, an upgrade on my flight back, etc."
Cons: "It was 3am and my boarding pass wasn't bright enough on my phone. Instead of politely asking me to go print out my boarding pass at the check in stations, she yelled at me and told me I was holding up the line"
Pros: "Boarding and deplaning were easy and pleasant. The 4 hour wait passed pretty quickly. The seating was tight but expected. The flight was smooth, the crew friendly and responsive. Plane was clean, bathrooms clean, nicely kept that way throughout the flight. I did have help reconstructing my import-export card."
Cons: "Space under the seats is smaller than expected. With passengers waiting in the aisle to get their seats, I had a second to decide what to take out of my one carry-on before putting it in the overhead bin, and as a result, was without some necessities during the flight. Pearson is a problem. Flights from everywhere were backed up behind a single person operating in security, and hardly any AC personnel there could speak English clearly. The confusion & wait time pretty distressing to most people in line. I had 4 hours to the next flight so wasn't worried, but waited 1 hour in line in the airport hallway before getting in to present information to security. Situation at airport is not good at all. I'd try to avoid Pearson as a transit point if I could, in the future. The music channels were so distorted I couldn't listen to any of the offerings. Too bad about that, but it didn't ruin the flight. Arrival in Zurich was on time and easy."
Pros: "a lot of leg room, fast boarding, nice screen, cool window with adjustable darkness."
Cons: "all my food were not covered when hostess delivered the tray, salad was missing, apparently it fell into the trolley while she pulled the tray out. and then i couldn't eat it because it was frozen. food quality was just really bad; whenever the crew passed by they were speaking really loud like to the other side of the valley, probably not necessary; the seat itself has a fancy look but the cushion is not comfortable at all, couldn't really rest one's head on it as it would just keep sliding sidewards . another thing that the airline can't really help- baby crying & screaming all the time and playing toys with music, couldn't get any sleep at all... perhaps a "kids zone" like trains have would be good for planes.. ?"
Pros: "Getting off the plane."
Cons: "They didn't give out free nuts/pretzels. The entertainment system was off for half the flight even through they said it would reboot in 10 minutes. Loading the plane was the slowest I have ever seen."
Pros: "Seating in a double rather than triple layout."
Cons: "Delay of almost an hour on the runway because of a mechanical problem, after being asked to turn off cell phones and so we couldn't notify those meeting us. Our flight arrival did not appear on the board at Pearson , thus complicating our communication with those meeting us. Baggage was slow being unloaded. Will seriously consider flying to Hamilton with West Jet next time we return from Halifax."
Pros: "Same as first leg of journey...."
Cons: "Air Canada shares a trait with many other incompetent organizers: everything is fine if nothing goes wrong, but there are no contingency plans in place in case something goes wrong. So, things get more and more delayed. Can't you predict roughly when the plane is going to land (once it is in the air!) and arrange for some gate to be open, so that we don't have to sit on the ground for 45 minutes once it has landed, for example? People who know how to organize are ordinarily capable of doing that. Furthermore, the lack of transparency is really frustrating: we just sit on the tarmac with no indication of how long we're going to be there, and the estimates of the delays are completely wrong when we're given them."
Cons: "Lousy food and no snacks"
Cons: "Our flight originating in Halifax was 1.5 hours delayed and we knew there was no way we would make our connecting flight in Toronto with a 40 min window to pass through customs, US immigration, and reenter security into the US bound F gates. We requested to be rebooked for early the following day to avoid being stranded in Toronto. Acknowledging it was unlikely we could make the connection, the staff told us that because the computer didn't list it as a "missed connection", they could not take any steps to rebook us. Of course, we missed the connection and were stranded for an entire 24 hours in Toronto with two small children."
Pros: "A very typical flight."
Cons: "No complaints."
Pros: "Flight was only half full. It was a red eye from Halifax to London, so there were several rows with no one in it. That allowed me to move to a row that I could lay down in. Flight attendants were pleasant. Everything was included (ie, food, free checked bags, earphones for TV) Great value for money."
Cons: "I watched WTF on the in seat entertainment system but it was not formatted for that screen, it was too narrow and the sides were cut off so part of the action was not on screen. Pretty minor issue."
Cons: "The security check took so long. We made it last minute even thought we were in the airport more than 1.5 hours before the flight (as recommended)!!"
Pros: "Business class compartments. Excellent by all standards"
Cons: "the meal served was overcooked, tasteless. The quality of the cutlery was poor even the wrapping was so poor. I travel internationally twice or three four times a year but this was my worst experience as far as the foood was concerned."
Pros: "Crew was fine, should serve at least a cookie with the drink..."
Cons: "Didn,t like the service I received getting off the plane.. Cannot walk any distance..Didn,t order a wheelchair, because I didn,t know I had too. Asked for a ride on the golf carts, got told to walk around the corner, and one will pick me up!! Never saw one yet!!! Took awhile but managed to walk to the luggage, but had to sit for half hour with the pain in my legs.....No thank you Air Canada, next tine it will be different air lines....."
Cons: "Our flight from Halifax to Los Angeles via Toronto should have left at 3:15 on Sunday so that we could arrive back in Los Angeles by 10:14 pm. Instead the flight was delayed and left 200 people stranded and waiting in line for customer service. Because I did not have cell service in Canada, I was forced to wait 2 hours in line only to have the agent at the counter make me talk to an agent on the phone. Prior to that, we were shocked that one of the only two agents at the counter left the counter to talk to people in line behind us instead of servicing the customers first come first serve. When I asked him to please return to the counter to help the next person in line, he mumbled that that was not what he wished to do. Meanwhile, all flights out of Toronto were fully booked that night. The delayed flight finally left at 1:30 am. Had Air Canada notified its customers about the 10 hour delay, we could have spent that time in Halifax. Both my husband and I were very disappointed in how AC handled the whole situation. Both the counter agents and the phone agent were unhelpful in offering us options."
Pros: "when I landed"
Cons: "First off the the plane was mid takeoff and stopped which terrified the passengers and crew. Then we learned the plane had technical issues which lead to a 50 minute delay, then air canada did nothing as in terms of compensation. My audio jack for the entertainment system was broken, seat 19F on flight 617 by the way... Then I got up to use the washroom and when I came out I had to wait 30 minutes at the back of the plane standing until the servers were done serving drinks and snacks/food. Then the landing was terrifying as the plane was swooping/shaking much more than normal, even the board crew looked a bit worried. Could NOT wait to be done of the flight, one of my worst ever."

Cons: "The flight for Montreal was half empty and than there was a flight to Toronto Hallf empty as well, and the flight Toronto to Montreal was half empty...by coincidence our flight Halifax-Montreal on Sunday at 19:15 was cancelled due to technical issues. However it was obvious that AirCanada didn't care about the passenger time or valued it...instead of flying 3 empty flights they cancelled our flight and maximize capacity on the other planes...not happy we didn't get any voucher and we wasted 4 hours of our time and didn't have dinner until 1 am"
Cons: "The food was not that great. Very less in quantity. Vey low quality. Even Chinese airlines offers better food while traveling from Vancouver to Beijing. The airlines should improve their food services."

The sad part is, vayama and Air Canda (mis-spelled on purpose - deserves even less respect) do not even offer a partial credit if I want to cancel. Never am I going to use any of these or perhaps visit a bass-ackwards country like canada"

Pros: "One of the crew went above and beyond. I ordered a vegetarian hindu meal but somehow was not on the list. Luckily one of the meal options was vegetarian. However he came back to get my information and sent a message to Zurich so that I would be sure to have the meal on my return flight. I thought that was really thoughtful and kind! I do not know his name but he worked in that included row 25 on the A side and I would have loved to be able to mention his name so that he gets a great review. Economy seats we very comfortable for me."
Cons: "It would be so nice if everyone could have the business class pillows. It makes such a difference not to have to use the little "pillows" that economy offers."
Cons: "No ability to pick seating. Even after calling was not given seat asked for."

Pros: "Love the look of the Halifax Airport after its renovations , brighter than it used to be, Check-in and boarding went very quickly The plane took on extra fuel just n case we had a layover in Toronto because of poor weather but that didn't happen"
