Make sure you know which terminal to head to upon landing if transferring at Los Angeles as the information board at LAX will show only flight info for the terminal you are at (1 of 8). Transfer information is not transparent from the airline or the airport. Subscribe to airline apps help but can be cumbersome and difficult to manage in a time crunch.

Delta is great because when you land, you are already on the domestic side of the airport. Since I take the train/subway downtown, way cheaper than a taxi or Uber, I do not have to take a shuttle all the way around the airport to the subway: I just take a quick link train and walk a short distance. Easy and fast! Like travel should be.

Don’t expect much from the Toronto staff. Maybe they’re poorly trained, maybe they don’t care. The airport itself is badly maintained with insufficient toilets, waiting areas with taped up chairs, and is dirty everywhere. Compared to Dublin and Minneapolis it’s like going to a third world country. Avoid it if at all possible especially if you require assistance due to age or injury.
