I told economy rent a car/ allied rent a car on multiple occasions that's I was travelling with a friend who is a service dog handler. I was illegally charged a cleaning fee because the service dog left behind a few dog hairs on the floor. The company is going against the ADA/Laws. I attempted to reach out to the company via email for clarification and I have yet to receive a response/refund.Reviewed 5 Sep. 2023

Price was great but the rental pick up experience was very poor. Check in process was extremely slow. There were only two customers in front of us yet it took over and hour to get checked in. Manual scanning of drivers license, requests to show proof of insurance coverage and policies pages , etc just made the process too long. Car had spills and stains inside.Reviewed 5 Sep. 2023

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE THE US! They do not tell you that your international insurance policy is not accepted at the counter, and you have no choice but to purchase their inflated insurance. I paid $42 US per day. When I got the car it was a 2019 Nissan Versa. All of their cars are older - not new models like they have posted online. When I booked the rental I selected 12pm pick up and 6pm drop off and booked the published rate. The company defaulted my drop off to 12pm. When I called to extend they said I had to pay for a full day at $66.00 US. I was given the option to extend my rental prior to drop off and then was told to drop off at 6pm instead of 12:53pm the cost was $146.00 US (daily rate/taxes/fees). Of course that totally insane, so I dropped the car off and went to the airport 6 hours early. I got a text message after I landed in Vancouver that I failed to return my car. This is how they do business! So overall my rental was not what was offered online. They post low rates and then force you to buy their insurance. If you can’t show a return flight you only have 150miles per day.Reviewed 3 Aug. 2023

Biggest scam. You think you are saving money but they don’t let you use insurance tied to credit card which we have always done in the past, pickup from airport is terrible and takes forever requiring a multi stop shuttle to a random lot where you then have to wait for another van, staff are ridiculously rude and straight up lied claiming an exorbitant cost for Uber / Lyft as a comparison point which was totally made up. If we hadn’t paid a non refundable rate I would have definitely walked away. Never ever renting from here again and highly recommend avoiding at all costs. Everyone around us was having the same experience - literally the spirit airlines of car rental companies.Reviewed 24 Jul. 2023

Martina (Wednesday evening woman behind the counter) was amazing: intelligent, responsive, kind! Actually, the whole Wednesday crew was fabulous; picking up was so great. The car was also amazing for the price point! The Saturday/return experience left a lot to be desired. I was informed that the agency would not be able to tell it was “their car” because the key did not have a paper tag that apparently comes on all fobs. This is— and I mean this— the actual dumbest thing I have ever heard. There’s a VIN. There’s a license plate. There’s paperwork describing the car. Eventually someone stepped in, possibly because I brought the paperwork/rental contract (word to the wise—), and all was fine. But seriously. I understand not wanting to do your job but I don’t understand the inability to think through a non-problem. Trust: it’s “your” car. I have the proof. I’m seriously considering escalating to corporate.Reviewed 23 Jul. 2023
