I love flying TAP because I love having extended layovers in Lisbon. Lisbon itself, including the airport, is easy to navigate. The food is great and the culture and architecture is gorgeous. For shorter trips TAP doesn't have as many amenities as other airlines, but on this trip the typical video screens with movies, music, etc. was available.

In this particular flight there was a male airline attendant who was fabulous and who could speak many languages, including German. I noticed the other airline attendants seemed to be giving him a really hard time and weren't friendly at all. In fact, I rang a bell to ask for attendant help at one point and no one came to help. I was just a seat back from the area where the helpful airline attendant was available. I think that overall TAP flight staff could be a bit more open to being friendly. However, on the ground in Lisbon I've found the staff to be amazingly helpful.

Food was ok

The customer service I received was horrible horrible horrible especially from the check in counter the were very rude . After booking my flight on kayak I called TAP customer service just to make sure that everything was fine .I asked them about luggage they said I had 2 free and a carry on when I got to the airport said I had to pay for the 2 i said no told them that i called TAP they didn't wanna hear it i asked for the manager she I am the manager and you bought a discounted ticket and there's no luggage with this ticket only acarry on in a mean way if you want the you have to pay $90 for each I tried to call TAP can't get through them when they finally got through them the guy confirmed that I ve called it on the records but it said now it's too late to do anything I am already at the airport that I have to pay and contact them later. I wasted good hour and a half on this and I had to pay $180. After all that at the boarding gate they announced that they will call by zone .they called especial need called frequent flyers zone A never called zone B all they said last minute was this is the final call for flight #.... and I was right in front of them and guess who were the people making the announcement yep the same people at the check in counter

5 hrs delay and missed all connecting flights. Airline initially rescheduled flight 2 days later. Called Kayak and got no support. Kayak agent told us to keep pushing the airline. After 2 hrs of "working" with the airline, we were able to fly into Madrid the following day. Had to spend extra money for hotel room and car rental in Madrid because our final destination was Sevilla. Will never work with Azores or Kayak again. BTW, did we mention that while "working" with Azores to reschedule flight, we were booked to fly into an island off of Africa. Luckily, we followed up online with the changed itinerary.

The airline crew/staff was FAR MORE SUPPORTIVE than I have experienced in more than a dozen top ranked airlines. In particular, there was a crew member named GONCALO RODRIGUES, who seemed to have led every other member to perform at their best, by his model of service toward the passengers (customers). Such a staff can/must be utilized for training purposes and be rewarded in order to follow the concept of continuous improvement and stay abreast with leading airlines...

There are a few points that need to bee taken into serious consideration - for instance - like as below: 1. More choice of meals on board... There was ONLY PORK containing meal served during the flight and nothing else was available, which came as one big surprise. 2. My Baggage did not get boarded... and had to waste a great deal of time... The misplaced baggage staff member at the Toronto airport need more training toward customers' satisfaction. 3. I have been flying for a while but it is so difficult to find out what fare class you have. the website is not helpful with bag check in information. $90 is way too much to check in a bag especially for an international flight the line at Lisbon for passports is way too long

The seats were not very comfortable to sleep on for 6 hours as they didn't recline back too much but that is to be expected in 2nd class seats.
