Cons: "The food was terrible and I got food poisoning. When I collected my luggage at the baggage terminal, someone in charge of food or luggage had spilled curry sauce ALL OVER my suitcase - I had to throw it away. Many of the in-flight screens didn’t work, and the stewardesses were lazy and inattentive."

The check-in counter was open to passengers that had lined up but not manned. . It made the check-in process slow and tedious."

Cons: "My seat would NOT recline. For a 15 hour flight with non-reclining seat was painfull. I complained to the crew member and he just passed it to someone who never came and checked. When I inquired again, he told me that it was a mechanical issue with the seat and they other with same issue. He said sorry, it will be repaired once on ground. Mu back is hurting after one full day of rest at home. Just they don't have any courtesy or customer satisfaction mind set. This is why they are loss making airlines. Next time will take another airlines."

Cons: "No customer service. Air hosts were doing their job as a chore, no pride in their job, did not come to support even after ringin the call light multiple times. Entertainment system was old and not working for some of us on this long 15 hour flight!"

Cons: "I didn’t like the seats on the airplane. They weren’t leather or smooth at all. Instead, the seats had orange fabric material on top of them that was very old and worn down. Also the blankets appeared to be reused. I received blankets that were opened from the original packaging. I’ve never road on a plane and experienced this level of discomfort in my life. I normally don’t like to leave bad ratings about companies because the staff were very polite and warm welcoming. I just strongly believe that Air India could use some remodeling for their planes. The level of comfortability is a must for me and I am not booking with this airline again because the seats are so old and snaggy. There were actual cotton balls(lint) on the seats, and I had to place magazines on top of the seat, in order to avoid feeling uncomfortable. The seats looked dirty and felt uncomfortable. And the blankets were old. Honestly, I would’ve preferred impolite staff, rather than experiencing discomfort for about 3 hours. I couldn’t wait to get off as I was going to my destination. And I absolutely dreaded the plane ride back as I was coming from my destination. Air India needs leather, or smooth fake leather seats for comfortability. Also, they need brand new unopened blankets to give to their guest, along with plastic cups as well. I hope this helps, and I hope Air India improves on this for the future."

Cons: "Flight got delayed by 2 hours, resulting in missing connection of Air Canada flight from Delhi. . Missed connection. Poor customer service where Air India team first issued Boarding pass for next day Air Canada flight, and then took it back and asked me to deal with Air Canada directly this causing excessive inconvenience and loss of money, as Air Canada declined to allow me in their next day flight and I had to buy new Tickets to get back home in US."

Cons: "Other than this, the on flight entertainment was broken for the 15 hour flight, and people and their kids became restless. The staff refused to do much about it. It was a really bad experience. Some of the lights weren’t working for people who wanted to read and they were told to stand near the bathroom area for light. Overall, I won’t be flying air India again."

Cabin started to give you a feeling that you are flying in a trash bin after a few hours into the journey. Not many options for drinks. Crew non attentive and callous. It really needs a facelift considering it is representing the country in some ways when operating abroad."

Cons: "After flight was delayed and arrived late we went to the ticket agent to get our missed flight rescheduled. After almost an hour they hadn't completed a single correction. After 90 minutes of fuming they rebooked us for the following day and put us up in the crappiest, dirtiest, noisiest budget hotel we've stayed in over 6 months in India, Myanmar and Thailand."

Cons: "Common line for all international flights at Mumbai airport which takes long waiting for every one also boarding wasn't organized. Seniors and kids should be boarded first which wasn't. No straight lines for boarding so every one was behaving how they wanted to."
Pros: "Only nonstop flight between Chicago and New Delhi Pajama are offered for use in Business class and was very comfortable. Loved changing into the comfy pajamas during the flight."
Cons: "Flew business class and was very disappointed. Crew in business class not attentive and they stay in their galley most of the time. This is very unlike other international carriers like Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa , and Swissair that fly the same route. Meager snacks and drinks. Seats much inferior to Lufthansa, Swissair business class.Only two bathrooms in Business class and one was declared unusable almost at the beginning of the fifteen hour flight. Bathrooms are not kept clean by staff."
