Pros: "This flight was on the 777-300 plane leased from EVA. Boarding proved to be a bit of a slow grind due to the inordinate number of families with children on this particular flight. Our fault for not realising this at time of booking. Flight itself went very smoothly. Seats were fine. Not a huge selection of movies to choose from. Felt the crew went about their duties without fuss and ticked all the boxes for me."

Cons: "Had a lot of hassle adding baggage to this leg of my trip on booking. At check in i was asked to pay $130 for baggage, which was no surprise. Luckily Air New Zealand ground staff sorted it out and I did not have to pay. I will book direct with the airlines next time."

Cons: "We were late arriving, the cabin crew although they were pleasant, didn’t do enough to allow the passengers to get off first, for the connecting flight. Malaysian airlines stayed in the runway, fixing an engine and the pilot said they were delaying the plane, driving in for passengers to disembark. After being told by cabin crew that a number of us were late for connecting flight, that they were going to wait for us, they didn’t and we were told we had missed the flight. We were kindly put on the next flight which wasn’t until five hours later. Unrealistic scheduling causes is to miss our flight and had us sitting at the airport for four hours, making it an unnecessarily long day. Not impressed."

Pros: "The food choices were lovely, plenty of bathrooms and touch screen entertainment (albeit with an outdated feeling and clunky interface.) The skycam was the best part of the entertainment interface options, giving you an outside view of the plane at all times from a camera at the top of the plane tail. Watching the plane during its descent and landing was very cool."
Cons: "I’ve flown in tight-spaced economy seats before, but the lack of space to even bend over to reach items on the floor was extreme on this plane and unacceptable for a 15+ hour flight. It truly felt like a straightjacket. Serious acrobatics were required to reach items on the floor. The tray table would also fly down on its own, the lever holding it would slide free while I was sleeping. There was no wifi at all, not even for using the qantas apps. My fiancé flew on Virgin the week before and was able to purchase wifi and stay in touch with me for $19 for the duration of the flight. Even my flight earlier this year with Qantas on the Dreamliner lacked usable wifi, but the experience of the Dreamliner plane itself was wonderful. In addition, the usb ports on the end of the armrests weren’t working. I feel it should be part of the safety briefing to point out where the usable power points are, given how vital charged phones are these days for boarding passes, reaching loved ones and entertainment when the wifi isn’t working. I didn’t realize there was a plug for laptops/ block plugs until I asked about the USB ports not working until the last 2 hours of the flight. The location of that was somewhere few would notice or look if not explicitly told. This will be the last time I ever book with Qantas when an a380 model is involved, unless great overhauls and updates are completed. Economy should not lack basic ergonomic comforts and while I’ve spent years touting my love for Qantas, having had wonderful experiences in the past, this one fell far below what I had come to expect from the Qantas name."
Cons: "We were booked for a connecting flight we could not possiblely have made given we had to go through customs, immigragion and baggage claim. We had to catch a later flight which was then delayed because none of the toilets worked."

Everything about this flight was terrible. It was delayed several times, but Air Canada was short-staffed and made no announcements (I found out about the delays via text). Air Canada changed gates several times as well, eventually moving passengers to an isolated gate at the far edge of the airport where we had to walk across the tarmac up a staircase to the plane. But the worst part was the boarding process: when Air Canada suddenly announced we were boarding, they didn't use zones or even priority boarding. It was absolute bedlam, with one Air Canada employee screaming at the crowd jostling to get on the plane. Finally, when the plane landed at LGA just before midnight, there was no gate for us and we had to wait another half-hour for the gate. I would never fly Air Canada again.
First off, I don’t know if it was for branding purposes but this was NOT an “Air Canada” booking. Both departure and return flights were operated by United Airlines. This made the boarding process confusing and annoying, having to switch terminals in haste. I was even late for my departure flight in Chicago due to the confusion which resulted in a re-booking. Make the process easier in the booking email/app as to how to properly check-in/where to go for United Airlines flights under the Air Canada brand. Even the flight # provided were both different under UA. This was subpar service!
More communication and little more concerns about travelers than conserving cost. May of us felt sick due to cooling system working in the plane. Flight crew had no clue as to how to respond in this terrible condition in plane. Getting glass of water became a big obligation. Traveling for last 50 years, never in my life experienced as such.

On the flight an hour later we were on the plane for three hours but the weather prevented takeoff. Now we are sleeping in the airport until 6 am. So I think communication needs to be improved"
