During the boarding process women with small children were not invited to board first and were clumped into general crowd boarding, also during the 3 hr flight there was no food or water offered and I was traveling with a small child who needed water. I would appreciated that next time Luftansa informs that on 3 hr flight there would be no food or water offered so that I can prepare for the flight. In addition, traveling to the plane with the bus and then climbing up the stairs into the aircraft with small child and overhead luggage was probably the worst experience that I had in years traveling. Overall, will try to avoid traveling with Luftansa by all means. Thank you

The seat in front of me had weird legs that made the room under the seat smaller than other seats around me. So you couldn't fit in the carryon fully under it as you could under the seat diagonally from me, however, this ended up being a huge plus since I could use the legs of this chair in front of me as stepping places to place my feet during flight. Since airline does not provide foot rest, it was great to have this to elevate the feet for a long flight. More considerations should be give to provide footrest or at least these kind of foot elevations."
Cons: "The dinner and breakfast were a bit disappointing, but not bad and not a deal breaker at all since the rest of the flight was wonderful. I noted comfort as ok, but that's applies to all airlines - the seats in economy and no footrest is very uncomfortable, but that's on all economy flights, so no deduction of points there. I do want to note that I needed a boarding pass at the gate and stood in line for quite a while (I was first in line) before I was even acknowledged by a lady who ended up helping me eventually. But she was so cranky! (there were 2 ladies - one busy helping the crew and putting around barrier - she was fine, the other with a head covering (putting this hear just to distinguish the ladies as one was doing a great job)- not sure what she was doing, but she plainly ignored me standing at the desk in front of her, I didn't say anything, just patiently waited until she acknowledged me, and then she printed the boarding pass for me, but she was way to cranky to be in the job that she is in - no need for that kind of attitude."

Also, it was like 9-10pm local time by this point so dinner made no sense! Then the lights were dimmed and people tried to sleep. The lights were turned on 1.5 hrs prior to landing to serve a light breakfast. So, 6.5 hr red-eye turned into about 3.5 hrs of actual sleeping time. I would've preferred to be left alone and given a bigger breakfast."

I had 2.5 hours to board my connecting flight and they caused me to miss it. As I waited in the customs line entering Lisbon, I asked a TAP representative if I’d have to get out of the line up and go right through as my flight left at 2:10 pm. They said you will make it, stay in line. I get near the front of the line 2 hours later... hundreds of people were in this line and they only had 2/10 customs agents available!!! I ask another representative how far my gate is since my flight leaves in 30 min and she told me “no you missed it. but don’t worry others will be missing it too”. So no I did not miss it, you caused me to miss it cause I already asked if I would and you people told me no. I run to the gate, which has now changed to the other end of the airport, so I run to that gate and it is 10 min before the flight is to take off. I ask the desk agent at the gate and he tells me the flight has already left. Others had missed it too due to the insane customs line up. So the plane left 20 mins earlier than scheduled with only half it’s passengers..... unbelievable!!! When I went to the service desk they did not show any sympathy or apologetic behaviours whatsoever."

Air Canada offered no help whatsoever and the guy at the “service” desk in Boston literally said there was nothing he could do to help. Not even find a new flight. Then don't offer the 9pm flight. Passengers have other commitments in their life's. We don't need AC to just hold us over for the night because one of their flights is have empty."

The airlines apparent made several changes between my trip and I was threaten with additional bag fees when my ticket was very clear for two carry-ons and to checked bags, which also confirmed when I confirmed my seat request. After I was required to check my bags, I realized my earbuds were in the bag and the flight attendant did not give me a pair and actually told me I could purchase a pair...REALLY!I just did a 15 hour flight from Dubai, you were delayed by 2 hours on my last connecting flight and you can't comp a pair of .25 cent earbuds."

They also understated. It took me over 2 hrs to get throug check in process, not counting 45mins + through security check and custom. I had asked staff to expedite the process. C my flight was boarding. Staff could care or less and walked away. I had to run to my gate and almost miss my flight. Also, I was told that 1st checked bag was complimentary as this is a express aircraft. Staff wouldn't honor that. Come to find out as I entered the aircraft that they made many passengers do the complimentary gate check anyway. Rude and unaccompdating staff."

Once we boarded the plane we noticed that the crew member had been given a seat on the plane, where a mother with three children that was also on standby had to stay for a later flight. Not sure how 1) you overbook a flight, and much less 2) give a seat to a crew member over a customer."

It also irritated me that because I had booked my flight through Kayak and not Air Canada directly I was not able to make any changes to the reservation online - I had to call their reservation phone number (from another country) and be put on hold for 20 minutes (so needless to say it was an expensive phone call)."

I know there are understandable, although not always pleasant, occurences and situations that cause or contribute to things. But this shuttle flight was a disaster of poor airline planning. The 1.5 hour flight kept getting delayed again and again and again. The assigned gate got changed 4 times and we found ourselves having to walk with our bags from one to another. It finally took off at 12:30 at night with an ORIGINAL departure time of either 8:40 or thereabouts. You're talking about a 4 hour delay. Weather? Raining, but nothing that was serious. It was just, well, raining. No explanation was ever given for the delay although, uhh, complimentary bags of pretzels were handed out. I felt bad for the ground and flight crew. They had to deal with us less-than-pleased passengers and, really, the delay was beyond their control. Which leads me to believe poor scheduling by Air Canada of available planes was a reason. It was all very, very bad and, given a previous flight 10 days ago that took 5 hours instead of the scheduled 1.5, we'll never use Air Canada again."

I couldent really see out of it. I did use the rest room and it was pretty clean."

In addition, we couldn't get clear information about the baggage allowance. This is partially due to booking through Kayak where they don't tell you the baggage limit and some of the flights were code share flights even though all were with Air Canada. Couldn't tell if we had 1 or 2 bags included. This didn't help with our packing. In the end we had 2 bags and wish we bought more stuff."
Pros: "The Air Canada agents and staff were very helpful and accommodating to the best of their ability. I hugged one female AC Agent in TO as she was so kind and helpful, and told her she was the highlight of my day."
Cons: "The processing of Air Canada passengers to the connecting Gates and through Customs for USA international flights was a nightmare. It was very disorganized, with hundreds of passengers herded like cattle, poor communication, customs slips not provided on the AC Flight before landing so as to be completed in advance. There was staff shortage, and not done in a timely manner so as to make your connecting Flight. It has truly been a most stressful experience for me this and each time I have to go through Toronto to make a connecting flight , and I will avoid this flight plan in the future at all cost."

Pros: "The 2-3-2 seat configuration is better for travelling as a duo. We were provided with blankets and pillows for the 9 HR flight. Food was quite tasty for airline meals."
Cons: "Host staff made very few trips up and down the aisles. Have not before been on an Air Canada flight where there are no seat back screens, so it was a surprise not to have any in flight entertainment."
Pros: "It was nice of airline to set up an extra flight in the afternoon so we didn't need to spend even more time in Toronto airport."
Cons: "My first flight had free snacks and movies to watch yet it was only an hour in the air. This flight was much longer with no movies and having to pay for snacks. Seems a tad backwards."
Cons: "Mine and my wife's legs did not fit. The seats were spaced much closer together than is standard, and this made the flight unbearable. I stood in the isle for most of the flight. To make things worse on this 5 hour flight, there was no video available to distract me."
Pros: "Crew very polite and professional."
Cons: "My luggage didn't arrive at destination, so this caused a bit of a problem for me as Philadelphia was not my final destination. I had to take a bus the next morning at 7AM to Pittsburgh. My luggage finally was delivered to me within 48 hours, so that was great."
Cons: "Rouge was the problem here. Unlike regular Air Canada flights, the seats are extra cramped and there are no seat-back TVs or power outlets. (Also, the crew didn't seem to include any French speakers - weird for Air Canada.) I preferenced AC for this flight. Next time I would avoid them if it's Rouge."
Pros: "friendly staff, not a full flight which was nice to stretch out"
Cons: "the food was not great, would have been nice for TV to have hockey championships game available to watch- another airline had this option on a flight during a Steeler game and it was nice."

Pros: "There were some pretty recent movies and some older ones that I remember watching when I was younger. Both options were good."
Cons: "Despite there being both new and older movies, there seemed to be a limited number of movies and shows. I feel like there could have been more, but it might be just me."
Cons: "Flight was canceled and next day flight was delayed for 3 and half hours."
