I am a Gold Member of Star Alliance for more than 20 years and have flown dozens of times on Swiss and would expect courtesy and consideration in return for my loyalty to their airline. Their flight from Hong Kong to Zurich leaves at 00:15. I mistakenly booked this for Nov 9th instead of the intended late evening of the 9th which then turns out to be Nov 10th. When I discovered my error, I called Swiss at least six times to explain my error and ask if my son could stand by for the same flight on the 10th or even apply the amount to rebook the same flight the next day. ZERO flexibility or consideration. Missed flight, lose entire value. Start from scratch. Astonished that an airline that claims to be serving their customers would treat me this way. I travel through Europe at least 6-10 times a year from Asia. I will now route through Frankfurt, Munich, Paris, London, Vienna, Instanbul or even Moscow before ever going through Zurich again. I encourage anyone making travel plans to be very careful when considering flights with Swiss Airlines. Perhaps this treatment of a loyal customer explains why they went through bankruptcy already once."

The lack of transparency regarding baggage fees is outrageous. I have had to pay hundreds of dollars in such fees after having had no such notice - and no inkling - that that would be the case. We call this a "racket" in the United States."

The flight was ok in general. The main problem is that Schiphol airport in Amsterdam is a mess in terms of having a smooth connection and layover. I had 2 hours to make the connection and almost missed the flight to Lisbon. I would NOT recommend at all The use of KLM and Amsterdam as a hub to any other city. Not at this time of caos.

Cons: "Totally full flight so squished in my seat"
Cons: "We were told not to take the late flight to TO as Westjet would not hold the connecting flight (TO to Gatwick) for us. This meant our TUI connection in Gatwick to Chambery would have been wasted along with bus transfers. West jet did not offer us AC flights that were available to keep us near to our schedule. We ended up cancelling the Westjet flights and buying AC flights to Heathrow at a cost of $3300 + $300 taxi to gatwick + abandoned bus to Gatwick Westjet did offer us a flight on Sunday ! In the end, we are not sure if booking thru Kayak was part of the problem as Wesjet staff said ..... Oh you booked thru a 3rd party Comments ?"
Cons: "The entire flight's baggage never were received. The stewardess even promised that all bags would be received within 20 min. We waited 1 hour until we went to go talk to someone to inquire about the delay. They opened up a baggage claim, but the claim status only ever says open or closed, which says nothing about the status of the bag."
Cons: "Lack of attention from aeromexico in customs to ensure making the connection. Sevice is a joke."

Cons: "Our flight was delayed by 3 hours. We missed our connecting flight so we are in a hotel in Toronto now at 1:30 am. And our flight out is at 5:50 am and we will need to get up by 4 to get to the airport by 4:50. Getting our hotel and food vouchers was long and painful and disorganized. Would not fly with them again"
Pros: "Pretty quick boarding, although the boarding time was incorrectly mentioned to be too early."
Cons: "Had to de-ice so we left about 10 minutes later than expected, but somehow still arrived early… but our gate had another plane still using it. We ended up arriving at our gate 25 minutes late. That's unacceptable, especially on a flight that's just an hour long. The gate was so far from the public transportation (landed at Terminal 3, public transport is at Terminal 1) that I missed the bus - got home super late as a result."

We’ve been border but waited 3 hours before pushback due to technical issues. Good can be improved, especially the hot meal.

Cons: "I paid for a"premium" seat on one of the emergency exit rows for the extra legroom. This was next to a galley. The seat itself was no more than 18" wide (NO EXAGGERATION!!) if not less. I had to sit on an angle (one butt cheek at a time) for 9 yours. I do not have a big butt either. This seat should have been a discounted seat, not a premium seat. I am so angry about this, I will NEVER fly Air France again."

We were told that it was just a half an hour delay by the man that was informing us of the delay and then we were then told by a woman that it was going to be over an hour. We weren’t told any specifics of why the plane was delayed, other than: “ the engineers are looking at the issue now”. We received messages saying that the flight was cancelled but then we were told to ignore that. We were told that we would have an update every 10-15 minutes but by the time we had the next update was 1 hours later, we were told that the plane will depart at 15:50- which we did. But we also sat on the plane for an extra 2 hours or maybe even more (couldn’t bare watching the time at this point) because the man that was supposed to push the plane backwards in order to reverse the plane didn’t turn up so we then had to wait for all of the other planes to take off before we could. Eventually the plane set off at 18:20 and I got in France 19:30-20:00 ish?"

As the arrival was little late, all the passengers have missed their connection flights in Toronto and there was no notification or communication made on the new flight. When I went to the Air France counter in the airport, the staff has gone for the day and trying to get a hold of telephone rep took 2-3 hours and I by the time I found about my new connection, I was already late. Somehow I managed to get to the Terminal 1 and when I spoke to the lady (indian) at the Check-In counter, she has refused me to Check-In because i slipped the line up. The people in the lineup didn’t have any objection and they let me go first for Check-In as I’m already late to my flight. I wante to say something to her, but I’ve controlled my frustration. Luckily the other person in the Check-In counter offered to help me Check-In. Here is my word to the Indian lady staff “F**k You B***h” - learn some people skills."

Cons: "Disorganized uninformed staff. One says I have to have an additional "random" security check after going through the same thing in security. Turns out it wasn't random and I didn't need it. Both times they read my boarding pass wrong thought I was going to Tel Aviv - not random. Airport was hot as hell! Flight kept getting delayed then we had a gate change as well. Finally got on the plane and it took forever to take off so we were basically sitting in a sauna for 30+ minutes."
