Cons: "I didn’t fly out of Philadelphia because the flight was 5 hrs late and I missed my connecting flight. Had to go get my luggage, go home and try to fly today! Terrible! All my plans screwed up!"
Pros: "on time"
Cons: "Seats were cramped and toilet was wet and stinky"
Pros: "The seating was good and the pilot was friendly."
Cons: "There was not a good movie selection and there was not a lot of information regarding the altitude and there was not very much warning during turbulence."
Cons: "crew was rude and unhelpful with delayed flight"
Cons: "My direct flight was cancelled and rebooked with a connecting flight."
Pros: "There wasn't anything that stood out that I could say I liked."
Cons: "I didn't care for the attitudes if the stage working in the Toronto airport. Things really aren't clear there for first-timers and much of the staff was acting like I should already know to do a lot of things when there weren't any clearly posted signs saying so. There is also a huge lack of organization."
Pros: "Easy comfortable flight from yvr-sfo. Landed early do can’t complain."
Pros: "Flight late seats have no leg room it’s what one pays for for rouge flights though"
Pros: "I liked how friendly and efficient the crew was"
Cons: "I didn't like how there was no movie available to watch and/or no free wifi"
Pros: "Clean plane. Polite staff"
Cons: "Little leg room"
Pros: "Fast boarding, no delays."
Cons: "I always fly Air Canada but I guess I wasn't aware that Air Canada Rouge was a completely different species. No entertainment at all. When we got on the plane, the sun was shining through the window & floating in the air was a mind-boggling amount of dust, feathers, etc.. flying all around... like the air was completely FILLED with them.. you couldn't get a breath of oxygen. This irritated my respiratory system immensely. They also had children helping out the flight attendants which was cute, until the one girl who had just served water to the entire plane broke out into an awful fever. They were putting ice packs on her head, giving her meds, & eventually she had to get carried through the airport. This was 5 minutes after serving water to an entire plane of passengers. I ended up getting extremely sick & missed almost a week of work. Not sure if this was the cause, but it makes sense. I will make sure 100% to never fly air canada rouge again. For $400 a ticket... doesn't make sense to experience this."
Cons: "One hour late"
Cons: "Flight was delayed"
Pros: "movie selection on international flight was great."
Cons: "Had a serious delay, which was not acknowledged in anyway. We just waited near the gate for a long, long time. Also, for one of my flights, my group number was never called. I asked the flight attendant about it (when I passed through the gate after most other customers had boarded) and she flippantly responded with something like, "Yeah, maybe I didn't call your boarding zone. I don't know. Whatever." This left a terrible first impression on me."
Cons: "The flight was late."
Pros: "Great airline for food and service."
Cons: "For couples traveling in business Air Canada's seating is designed to de-couple by placing barriers between seats . They need to try Emerites to check out how a pod should work Entertainment is limited"
Pros: "courteous, helpful cabin crew on-flight entertainment gave abundant options"
Cons: "flight delayed because departure gate usurped by a Virgin America flight. inadequate seating area; too few seats; passengers boarding VA flight entered through seating area instead of directly."
Pros: "Where rude also unable to hear safety announcemts"
Pros: "All was well. Thanks"
Pros: "The crew was amazing."
Cons: "The flight was outrageously hot the entire time. There were no A/C vents above the seats, probably because the dated plane may have been built before temperature control. It was honestly almost unbearable."
This is the Air Canada."
Cons: "Not aconfortable plane"
Cons: "I did not like aircanada changed my sit without asking me.I did not like delays."
Pros: "Boarding process was good"
Cons: "No free snacks offered"
Pros: "The ONLY part of flying Air Canada that I used to like was your partnership with SAS, over the past ten years I have lost more airtravel points through Star Alliance troubles than I could have made in the decade before. Luckily when I fly from my birth place of St. John's NL, you're ground staff are the absolute best! I can give "shout outs" to each and every one of them. From those ready for retirement to the new staff just in from "who knows where", they get the whole "customer service" priority that your airline needs to focus on. Your management in Halifax "Sharon" is out of this world too, other than that whether through Lufthansa, Air Canada or anywhere I would travel, seeing that red leaf on your wing would make me ashamed to be Canadian."
Cons: "I paid extra for a seat to ensure leg room, all I got was ear ache! The flight - although half empty had no place for my briefcase, but I was "ordered" to push my sealskin bag under the dirty greasy seat in front of me. When I requested they store it upfront for take-off & landing - the french female steward started flirting with the man sitting next to me and didn't even offer a response. When drinks came around - I was handed a half empty glass with juice on it's exterior and borrowed a napkin from the next seat. Later I did get a napkin "thrown gently" over the person she enjoyed speaking with. I was happy to wait until connecting passengers disembarked before the local traffic, but was appalled when the more senior female steward stopped a local passenger who I know has anxiety about flying - to insist she let the other passengers off first. Air Canada needs to be educated on what human behaviour entails, before they can graduate to customer service. Together with my first name, you can know my last name is Floyd"
Pros: "Seats are comfortable and I had plenty of leg room."
Cons: "No snacks offered with drink. Boarding wasn't well organized. Toronto airport is horrible... long lines at customs and security caused me to miss my connection for the second time in a row."
Pros: "Air canada needs a serious serious overhaul of the way they treat their customers especially those working at the Toronto airport I find their employees have an "entitlement" mentality that other carriers do not Customer service seems to be a priority not talking to your coworkers about the weekend while serving your customers"
Cons: "There was one employee who suggested to take an earlier flight and was very helpful Little things go along way"
Pros: "I slept on this leg which I appreciated and we also got into Orlando early. Very excited about that."
Cons: "They charge for all snacks. I think for a three hour flight a small snack would be in order. A cookie or pretzels would work."
Cons: "Staff was rude. And I was seated next to an alchoholic"
Pros: "The good, each seat has a tv."
Cons: "Waiting over 72 hours and my bag has still not arrived. Both planes were delayed, even with the 2nd flight being delayed I still had to run in order to make it. Being on time is not something Air Canada has figured out."
Pros: "The ticket agent in Cincinnati was courteous and informative. Very helpful"
Pros: "The crew at boarding and in-flight was awesome, pretty good job. Food was ok."
Cons: "Airplane is uncomfortable and the fact that it was a 9 hour flight and they didn't had a tv on each seat is something that I hadn't seen before on a 3+hour flight; I had to rent a tablet for 10 CA dollar's and it didn't even had a lot of selection of movies or games, would not fly again on air Canada rogue."
Cons: "1hour 32 min late departure flight from Miami Missed my two conection to budapest, arrived to my destination 8 hours late. Airlines lost my luggage . I missed all my bussines meeting huge lost for me."
Pros: "food choice are awful. I am allergic to bell peppers and avocado, so there is little I can eat"
Cons: "this was my second flight in two weeks that was delayed out of Vancouver. Last week to Newark we were delayed 4 hours due to a tire needing changing, got into New York 4 hours late. Yesterday, the flight was again delayed for 90 minutes while mechanical repairs were needed. Several people missed connections. It is making me think that I cannot trust the timing of your flights and as I am going to Paris through Montreal on Sept. 25th, I feel I should change my flight to give myself more time to make my flight to Paris. I currently have 1 hour and 5 minutes to make the flight. Do you think I should change my flight and will I be charged for it. Please advise."
Pros: "It was an easy flight and went smoothly."
Pros: "Lots of leg room. Friendly and helpful staff. Smooth flight and comfortable seats."
Cons: "We didn't like all the walking to get to and from the plane in Terminal 2, Heathrow. Anywhere else in the world would transport people by bus if it was going to be a twenty minute walk to the departure gate."
Cons: "Flight was delayed for hours first without any communication, later with very unclear communication. Spent multiple hours at the airport just to have to fly out next morning at 6:30am. Wasted day, wasted night. Delays can happen, but according to the finally communicated cause this could all have been communicated early on (crew not available in Cleveland, that was two flight legs earlier)."
Cons: "Flight was delayed four hours. After landing, sat on the runway for one hour waiting for a gate. horrible."
Cons: "How can you operate a plane with no operable washroom? I left the plane in pain. I hope Air Canada execs have the same pain one day! Shame on you!"
Cons: "The seating was tight."
Pros: "The costumer service desk in Toronto on the way home was very curtious and helpful. They helped us get back on our original flight home, avoiding the 6 hour layover caused by their rescheduling after we got to Rome."
Cons: "2 of our 4 flight legs were changed last minute creating great difficulties making the first flight and causing a 6 hr layover on the way home. The crews to and from Rome acted like they had to be there and wished they weren't. that made the flight much less pleasant. The line through customs in Rome was 90 minutes long, way understaffed."
Pros: "Airplane was clean and crew was nice."
Pros: "Glad for this new route. Will make Europe easier to access from PDX."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "first flight cancelled, second flight delayed so impossible to get the connection. Nobody called me about it, I had to go to ask."
Pros: "Very easy checkin, nice aircraft, very clean, friendly staff."
Cons: "Had requested assistance for my mother and air canada passed the buck putting the responsibility to the airport when in fact it should be the carriers responsibility to make arrangements with the airport staff to provide the assistance between gates for seniors with mobility issues at both the Pearson and Tampa airports. Very disheartening how they treat seniors and vets"
Cons: "The flight was delayed 3 hours for mechanical issues and so we missed our connection to Frankfurt that evening, and any other possible connection to Europe. Apparently Kayak had been notified that the flight was delayed, but had not relayed the message. If they'd informed me earlier I might have been able to rebook myself on an earlier flight, but I no longer had that option when I arrived 2 hours ahead of my scheduled departure. Although my arrival to my destination was delayed over 24 hours, I was only given a hotel room and enough to buy breakfast the next morning. No vouchers for future flights, no upgrades to an empty first class on the flight to Frankfurt the next evening, no apologies. The women at the gate tried to help me, but the AirCanada representative who I had to call to try to re-book flights was incredibly rude and condescending. She repeatedly talked down to me, and refused to book me on an alternative flight I found because she "insisted" it wasn't in her system. She later found it in her system, and told me that she would not book me on it, but that I would need to get the gate agents to do it due to the "tight connection" I would then experience of one hour through London Heathrow, the same as my originally booked flight via Air Canada in Toronto."
Pros: ".... too short to judge"
Cons: "too short to judge."
