Cons: "I'm stuck in this huge airport because the connection time between Mexico City and my next flight to Leon was vastly underestimated. In Vancouver I was assured that one and a half hours would be sufficient but when I saw the line through immigration I realized what a joke that was. That process alone took well over two hours, followed by another hour to pick up my bag, find the correct spot to drop it off again and then re-enter the boarding area. Meanwhile, the shuttle I arranged to pick me up in Leon have one and gone. So, here I sit, exhausted, frustrated and weary, waiting for the next flight, and not knowing how I will get to my destination in the dark hours of the night. I could do with back rub and a shoulder to cry on."

So instead of being treated with courtesy; I get a rude man, tell me “ you are late and too bad, if you want to complain that’s fine, I got the time to laugh and not care.” My goodness I was in such disbelief by such comments. I got his name and he laughed again, the disrespect. I got no help from other management staff. I fly frequently and never have I been treated with such disrespect. Grant it I had 1st class tickets and payed extra, in a society in which commerce is everything losing business should be of great concern in employee training. I hope Aeromexico HR reaches out and I give them a detail description of my experience with names for a plan of correction."

The airline refused to do anything to accommodate the fact that we now had to buy a new flight from Lima to Tarapoto because they overbooked their flight. The biggest problems don’t show up in the numerical rating above, but there were: — problems with web checkin (it didn’t work until ~15 hours before the flight), — problems at baggage check (non working printer = nonmoving line), — the flight was delayed and the gate was changed at the time of boarding (which we learned because we received an email from Kayak(!) as we were standing at the gate, NOT AeroMexico, who delayed in changing the sign & then didn’t make an audible gate-change announcement), — possibly because of the gate-change and a late-arriving flight, our bags were not put on the flight with us. — I am particularly irked because we had to pay extra in order to be able to sit with our young children, and were supposed to get priority boarding along with that, but instead ended up in the last boarding group (thank goodness we were still able to fit our one carryon suitcase)."

Then, to make it all worse, I was moving home after living in Lima for two years, and your airline lost one of my bags. Now explain this....how do you manage to lose one bag and not the other? It seems to me it was done on purpose by the gentlemen at the counter. I won't be flying Aeromexico again...bottom line."

When we finally arrived, our Gate was taken by other plane already and we had to wait (more) for the first one to be available for us. Then, when we finally got our Gate, there was another issue, now with the "finger". They weren't able to move it and connect it to the plane to get off of it. So we had to wait AGAIN. And finally as soon as we got off the plane, they were supposed to give us our carry ons on the aisle (Because it was a small plane CR700) , but again, we had to wait almost 10 minutes so that they could send the luggage... To make things worse, I had a first class ticket and I couldn't get the perks of it at the airport. Because they said I wasn't flying in an international flight. Come on?! Canada->USA->Mexico is not International??? You lost me AA."

I was booked to a crappy room in MIA that I had to get changed to another hotel. THEN my departing flight from Puerto Plata back to the US was delayed 2 plus hours (as was the first flight) due to a flat tire that had to be replaced. I missed my connecting flight and had to be placed on the next flight to DCA which was the last flight. This experience was the worst. I do not have a favorable opinion of American, of which I have flown this airline for years."

We were at the farthest International Airport gate M20. After 10 minutes one "pusher" arrived and moved my wife to the bottom of the ramp, approximately 100 feet and left her sitting in the corridor unattended. Although I had 2 Rolla boards I had to push her the full distance to Immigration and Customs. Our bags were sitting on a stationary baggage conveyor, the last from our American Airline flight. It wasn't until we're were ready to leave Customs that 4 people from "Prospect" asked if they could help, saying that they were SORRY!! They had just been standing around. A year ago I had the exact same thing happen to me from gate M1 and my wife had to push me the full distance. BTW, I 'm 71 and my wife is 68."

Cons: "We understand that delays happen but due to a delay on American Airlines we have lost our luggage and it doesn't seem likely it will be returned. We had five pieces of luggage lost during our flight from the U.S. to Spain. When we arrived in Madrid we were told that all five pieces had been located. When we went to pick them up the next day there were only four pieces at the airport. We were told the fifth suitcase would be delivered when it was located. It's ten days later and there's no sign of the luggage. It has taken multiple phone calls to get the information about the luggage correct. They assure me that they have everything correctly documented and then when I call back they haven't changed a thing. It has been a very frustrating process overall."

Cons: "Our flight was cancelled And rescheduled and we were not notified. We missed our flight. The next flight was the following day. We missed a day of vacation and $500 a day hotel fees. We felt we should be reimbursed for our flight but the person we talked to wasn't too helpful."

Cons: "Airline had no gates at destination and made us sit on board for an hour after landing. Should have been protactive and found air stairs to disembark instead of forcing passengers stuck on hot plane."

Cons: "Airline is run like a circus, horrible experience going to and from Cusco from Lima. I do not know how their poor employees work under such stressful conditions. Spend the extra money and fly LAN or LATAM."

Cons: "I understand delays happen and are sometimes out of your control. However, customer service is something that you can, should, and must control. I witnessed a lack of self control of the American employees (including a Supervisor) and every point of my trip w/your customers. I was embarrassed for the American executive team."
