Late gate change. Delta’s gate 37 is actually gate 24B- of course it is because it’s LAX. Delta staff acts as if 37=24B is the new math and we are stupid to not know this conversion. Delta staff acts surely and borderline hostel. Not sure if this is LAX or Delta’s culture. Either way, it stinks.
The check in process here in Phoenix was horrible. Incompetent agents, lack of staff, management indecisive, and lack of any urgency for passengers whose flights were set to leave. The flight crew were tired and stressed though that could be Delta's fault. The pilot was a pro! Thank you for the smooth flight!

This means that if you can book a seat in the forward economy mini-cabin, you get dedicated cabin crew, no other passengers walking through your space to get to the bathroom, plenty of bin space, and – best of all – a lot of aisle space to stretch your legs. Row 16 aisle seats are especially good, as the bulkhead between J and Y doesn't extend all the way, and therefore you can stretch your feet out. Food was actually excellent (for economy), hot and flavorful and generous, with snacks available mid-flight. Beverages also tops – gotta love Lufthansa for offering Campari (!) and more than one wine choice."

Cons: "I was actually upgraded to Business Class through a LH miles award, however, that upgrade was not honored, despite the fact that I had a confirmation email from them. I had to first get to Frankfurt to even negotiate this problem. At the departure point, LH was unable to furnish me a boarding pass to my NY flight. After racing though the huge airport at max speed to make this connection, I was treated rudely at the gate in Frankfurt by LH short tempered ground staff, to the point of even being accused of being the source of the problem and being late for boarding (when I was only accorded an hour connection through this booking, and raised this concern with LH prior). Lastly, the ground crew took away my connecting flight boarding pass and nearly forgot to give me back my luggage tag. The flight crew was Ok, but just did a bare minimum to keep up with the packed and overbooked flight. To top of the joy, I got food poisoning after landing in NYC - not all food they serve was in sealed containers, and it must have been enough to cause a day of misery that followed my arrival - I can assure you that the late time and taxing and docking delays in NYC took away any opportunity to have a normal dinner, and LH food was all I had all day... Not the usual LH experience, but I may give them a break for the next few trips."

Cons: "Unreliable domestic Lufthansa flights (in Germany) connected to this international one, and the departure time history for this LH400 proved typical for this flight, which ultimately left nearly 2 hours late despite good local weather. An announcement cited technical difficulties with the originally scheduled plane. Several small groups we recognized from embarkation on this LH400 flight filed lost luggage claims, as we did. Uncharacteristically bad planning by LH on food choices left our rows near the front of Economy without a choice of meals: only pasta, tasty though it was, was available. The chicken option was gone. The flight status video program function did not work for anybody near us despite three equipment restarts by the crew."

Pros: "I flew in Business Class from JFK to Munich and then back to JFK via Frankfort. Both flights were on time and very smooth overall in both directions. The cabin crew was good both ways and all spoke English well. Lufthansa long haul flights still use the older 2 x 2 x 2 seating arrangement (unlike the more modern and common 1 x 2 x 1 arrangement where all seats have aisle access)...so if you don't want someone crawling over you trying to get to the toilet while you are trying to sleep be sure to choose a center seat (both with direct aisle access.) While not totally uncomfortable, the Lufthansa business class sleeper seats are narrower...less well padded...and have less recline options than those used by most other long haul airlines, especially the very narrow foot-wells. The pillows and blankets could be better too. The food was OK - but not on a par with what most other airlines serve on long haul flights. The JFK to Munich flight was non-problematic in all respects. However, there was a screaming baby in my aisle (Row 4 on a 747-8 only 2 seats away from me) on the Frankfort to JFK leg...which I found TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE."

The answer is: "LUFTHANSA!!! And YES, this actually happened on my Frankfort to JFK flight (LH 400 on 23 January 2017.) I'm not sure if the woman in question paid for two seats or not but this unmanageable kid finally calmed down and fell asleep - but he did so in the seat next to her. If this unmanageable lap kid was allowed to do everything he did (including to use a Business Class seat for free IF that is what actually happened) then this just adds insult to injury. WAKE UP LUFTHANSA!!! People pay huge sums to ride in Business Class to avoid this situation - and it's time you BANNED this situation from even occurring."

WE will NEVER want to fly out of Frankfurt and especially with Lufthansa. I have to say the people at the service counters were very nice and helpful but it took 5 hours to get serviced and were missed 2 possible connecting flights. Lufthansa was a good airline but that was 20 years ago. The airport is too big now has too many delays so I'll avoid it at all cost."

Not only was my bag not on the flight. They didn't notify me until 7pm where my bag was. My flight was at 10:35am. I was left for 2 days without a toothbrush and lotion, face cream and charger and clothing. I still haven’t actually received my bag but they say it’s on the next flight. Major hassle. So rude that they must have known right away my bag wasn’t on the flight but they failed to let anyone know. I thought my luggage was stolen at the baggage claim. Major stress. Messing up my vacation. They want me to submit receipts to compensate for me having to to buy replacement stuff but the damages were more than just having to buy a new toothbrush. It was the stress and anxiety that was the major problem.

We were then informed that the plane had to be fuelled with 20,000 lbs of fuel while we were boarded. This took another 20 minutes. Then they had to de ice. We departed 1 hour after the scheduled time. They ran out of meals on row 14. The entertainment system did not work. When the fasten seat belt sign was on and an announcement came on to stay in your seats, people were wandering around aimlessly and the crew never enforced the announcement. All in all a less than satisfactory experience and an airline I would not fly again if I can help it."

Pros: "It appears that Air Canada is doing the correct thing for passengers who have reserved their seats in advance....after many years of not applying their written policy of making them board after business class/disabled passengers/passengers with young children, they have created Zone 2 boarding which permits passengers with reserved seating to board immediately after them, therefore guaranteeing them overhead bin space. As we all know, a lot of passengers board with much more than one carry-on, which is a plague when boarding."

Cons: "No power plugs in a 4h+ flight is not acceptable. That should be standard for every passengers. Unclean seats. General abrasiveness from some of the staff."
Pros: "The flight boarded quickly and even though we were at the back of the line there was still overhead bin space for our carry on luggage. The in-flight entertainment worked well on our iPads (no need to rent one) and the stewards always had smiles on their faces. The flight left on time and landed a few minutes early which is a bonus when you are on vacation."

Cons: "Flight was delayed and no one knew why!... Plane had been sitting ready at the airport for hours. Novice flight attendants, they each picked on different things others missed just before them. No consistency, seats left reclined during takeoff and landing for example. One way there was drink service once even though it was a smooth flight and the return had drink service twice even though it was bumpier! Entertainment does NOT work on androids, it is NOT the AirCanada app they tell you to download prior to the flight, it's an AirCanadaRouge.pk file that needs to be downloaded in flight! Which means we're stuck paying for the iPad and of course only with cc because there's no wifi for debit cards.... AC needs to stop this insanely mediocre and yet expensive monopoly."

Pros: "We had a trip planned for Las Vegas on the Wednesday following the sad and tragic shooting at the Mandalay Bay hotel. We were planning to be at the Luxor next door. Because of this proximity to the horrible scene we could not see completing this trip. The Air Canada staff understood and accommodated our need change plans. They arranged for us to fly directly home rather than to our planned stop in Las Vegas."
Pros: "No built in entertainment systems. YES PLEASE. Built entertainment systems take up room, sometimes have screens that can't be turned off, and some generate a lot of heat. So glad they were removed. The built in streaming service is a much better solution. Crew was fine."
Cons: "Seats are just ridiculously close. This makes boarding take longer. I don't think emergency evacuation is feasible. Have seats this close been tested for evacuations? Knees-touching-the-seat-in-front close. Taller people can't sit with legs straight in front. Eat before your flight."

Pros: "I appreciated that the plane left as scheduled, had plenty of legroom, and was attended by professional and gracious personnel."
Cons: "THe previous flight that we took, on June 20th, from Las Vegas to Toronto, was cancelled at the last minute. As we had a tightly-scheduled flight to Amsterdam, we missed that connection. There was no notification given prior to the cancellation, just suddenly came up on the monitors at McCarren Airport. No explanation was offered. THe flight that we were transferred to arrived in Toronto too late to get us onto our Amsterdam flight, and so Air Canada personnel gave us vouchers for food and tried to book us a hotel room. We were ferried to 3 hotels, and turned away at all of them, an dwound up sleeping on the flor of the kid's area at TOranto Airport. we finally got to Amsterdam a day late.and had our trip upgraded to business class for our trouble. I have no quarrel with the treatment that we received from Air Canada personel. THey were very patient and gracious, in spite of a number of irate passengers in the same situation that we were in. However, the failure to have accomodations for stranded travelers was exemplary of poor planning on the part of administration, not personnel. I am really torn as to whether or not to use Air Canada again. WHen it is good, it is very good, but when iit is bad, it is the worst that I've ever experienced."

Pros: "Nothing. I spent the whole 5+ hour flight cursing (in my mind) the entire Air Canada executive team. This was my first, and will be my last trip on this horrible airline."
Cons: "Not enough leg room. I'm assuming that all Air Canada executives are either very short people, or they've never tested their product. I've never flown on such an absurdly uncomfortable airline seat configuration, and I fly over 100,000 miles a year worldwide (including discount airlines in China!). If you have long legs, and your flight is more that two hours, DO NOT fly Air Canada Rouge. You've been warned!"
Cons: "When I am willing to purchase overpriced food on a plane, please at least have what I would like from the menu. On my flight to Canada and from Canada to Las Vegas I ordered food and had to settle on what they had available because I was so hungry. As soon as I asked for food, the crew should know what is and isn't available. Food was ok, whoever shot the pictures for the menu did a fantastic job of making it look good. Chicken wrap was good."

Cons: "AC Rouge domestic flight was horrible. Tiny seats that reclined about 1.5 inches jammed together. Not that size plane's original configuration I'm sure. Absolutely miserable. The personnel were all very nice and competent--I felt sorry for them having to work in such an environment. I've been in small African airline's planes which were small but not that uncomfortable."

Cons: "Space was so cramped it was crazy - I had a prior Air Canada flight experience that was very comfortable, but if I was 6" taller in this flight I would have been pissed."
Cons: "Spending the entire flight with my knees wedged into the the back of the seat in front of me was painful. I'm 6'2" which is not unusually tall. So greedy and careless for Air Canada to put the seat rows so close, selling an extra row of seats while causing pain for all the tall passengers."

Arrived early for the flight at 6am in the morning and was told it wasn't going until 2.40pm that afternoon because of a maintenance issue. Was not notified, air canada said it was a non refundable ticket and I missed my meeting. Terrible service and they were not flexible at all. Only bought this new ticket because my existing ticket was not able to get me to my meeting on time, so it was a complete waste of money"
