Flew into ITM and flew out KIX and boarding ticket it says only OSAKA so I didnt know. I barely made the flight....if they had accommodate the transportation I would understand. But they tell you, you have to make it there on your own. Another CRAZY information is that I thought at the very least the baggage will be transferred. But nope! You have to pick up the baggage and ride the train across town to the other station. Whoever made this itinerary should be really fired and no longer work at this company. You take a great airline and make the experience so bad."

My 6' husband's knees were touching the seat in front of him, and the seats were super narrow. I can't remember being so cramped in my entire life. That's really my biggest complaint, but when the flight is 6 1/2 hours, being cramped gets old really quick."

Pros: "Plenty of leg room, which as a tall person I truly appreciate. They give you slippers, blanket, pillow on every (international?) flight. I flew Korea to Japan and Japan to Hawaii. Got free meals on all flights, even my short two hr flight between Korea and Japan. Free booze too!"

The house slippers were a nice touch and we really enjoyed the large movie selection. The miso soup with meals was great! Overall really enjoyed our flying experience with jal and would fly with them again."
Cons: "The food for our return flight from haneda to Honolulu was definitely subpar compared to the food we had on our first jal Honolulu to Hong Kong flight (layover in narita). Also the plane was not as big and older so we didn't have the touch screen. We were quite impressed on our Honolulu to Hong Kong flight, then were a little let down on our haneda to Honolulu flight."

Cons: "I had paid for Premium Economy and was seated in Row 30. The passengers were boarded up to row 28, then from to back of the plane forward then I was boarded with the last remaining passengers. That was not what I feel should have happened. I did not like the footrest on the seats."

Cons: "We booked our tickets and chose our seats and nowhere did it warn or tell us that we were located in a ‘safety row’ where the arm rest would not fold up. So we could not stretch out during our 12 hr flight. This was the most uncomfortable experience I have ever had on the multiple trips I have done between USA and Australia or New Zealand. The seat ordering from the kitchen was rarely available, even after the flight attendants had finished food service and pick up. The flight attendants weren’t very friendly."

Lady in TXL yelled at me to leave her desk and to call Air New Zealand. Air NZ said they cancelled flights then Flyus.com said to deal with Air New Zealand and said my flights got cancelled and that they could not get me another flight. I had to find out how to get out of Berlin. I had to fly to Spain to my cousin’s home because I haf no where to go and did not have money to pay for another flight from Berlin to LAX 1,200 euros. I am still in Europe stuck and it is Monday 4/30. My son needs me in Los Angeles! I will never use Kayak again. What happened to my $878 dollars????"

Cons: "Paid for business class so I could Relax and sleep on the 10+ hour flight. Unfortunately, I was in seat 1G which was adjacent to the galley and storage compartments for the flight crew. Literally, every 15 minutes, someone in the flight crew was bumping my seat/bed - and waking me up. Never once got an apology. So pissed off I paid extra for business class when I would've gotten more sleep in a middle seat in coach."

Even the options they had available on the menu the crew said they didn't have any of it on board. Then the in flight entertainment wasn't working for some people so they had to reboot the system which took about half an hour and I lost my place in the movie I was watchIMG. I guess it helped that they give you free booze, which was helpful in relaxing after all the issues. Overall I did not enjoy this flight even half as much as I did the way there."

Cons: "I payed $50.00 USD on a seat so I would have a bigger seat. However, when I got into the plane, the lady that was going to be seating next to me asked me if I could change my seat with her husband; which was a regular seat. In order to avoid an awkward 12 hour flight, I agreed to change my bigger seat for a smaller seat. I felt disappointment that Air New Zealand separates parties and leaves room for uncomfortable situations. I really did not know what to do in this scenario, I paid for that seat but was in a way forced to give it a away without any refund in order to avoid 12 hours seating with some stranger's wife."

Pros: "I dreaded 14 hours on a plane but Air New Zealand made the trip very comfortable. The meals were delicious and staff responsiveness was great. I got lucky and didn't even have anyone sitting beside me. Great experience from every angle."

Cons: "Customer service and ability to sort out technical issues were truly appalling. My touch screen monitor crashed and the controls that would enable me to alert crew members for any concerns also didn't work. Both issues happened twice. The second time, I informed them that if these technical issues continued to fail and couldn't be resolved, I needed to be placed in another seat, of which I specifically told them was not to be a seat far behind my current row seat. Instead, they went and offered me a seat that was 22 rows behind, especially after I had paid extra fees to sit in the seat I was given higher up the aisle. I also informed them that I wasn't feeling well and the closer I was to the exit when we landed, the better. They ignored these concerns. That is unacceptable considering that it was their system that was faulty in the first place that led to these problems. Their staff also failed to regularly walk the aisles to ensure customers were okay with the service. I've been on planes whereby the crew is constantly walking around to ensure everyone is being taken care of. For example, I had a great experience with Korean Air where I saw staff every 10-15mins checking on customers. Air New Zealand completely failed in this regard. When my system crashed the second time, because I couldn't call anyone in the crew using the controls on my touch screen, and the person sat next to me was asleep (didn't want to wake him up to use his device to call!), I waited 25-30mins before going up to the crew station to seek help. I had to wait an additional 10-15mins before I even saw someone at the crew station. There are some other issues I encountered but the above were the main ones. This is the first time I've actually had to criticize an airline for it's customer service. I've been travelling for over 25 years and never encountered what I did today. I certainly won't be flying with them again."

I had my husband in a wheelchair and there was no one to help me with our bags! The security at LAX was joking and laughing amongst themselves and did not even look at us when they let us back into LA. We landed way far away from the building and I had to take my husband in a wheel chair and my hand luggage into a buss before we got into a building and we were the last ones to arrive, Vicky"

Pros: "Handsome, kind and efficient crew. Good amount of space in and around my seat. I was not cramped, although I was in the economy section. The plane interior was indeed nice. Power outlets (both USB and 110V DC) in my seat (I assume then, every seat had that). I fly few times a year between the West Coast and Europe and my overall flight experience on this flight I think was the best one I've seen in years. Food, quality and selection was good. Nice wines in economy. Sufficient number of clean, sufficiently roomy and well stocked toilets. The fare rate I was able to get was outstanding and contributed to the overall satisfaction. Even my neighbor, in the seat next to me was very polite, quiet and pleasure to travel with (though here New Zealand Air perhaps had less of an influence)."

Cons: "I will not use kayak again, because they used this terrible gouging airline that we did not know we were using for our flight. We had to change the flight date of our sons trip and they wanted to charge us $350 to change the flight and then with the difference in the flight it was gonna cost us $530 on top of that. The total for our flight was going to cost us $880! We found a brand-new flight with another company for $670! It is disgraceful! I will never use KAYAK because they used this airline and they don't let you know it! we never got our money back for the flight we did not use. It was a hard lesson learned. Whole thing"

There wasn't, so it was a waste of $100 each way for the two of us. We had much more leg room on our US domestic flight. Flight attendants don't appear to like their jobs very much. They were overly stern and impatient with passengers. Reminded me of the nuns in Catholic school growing up. Do they have any idea how uncomfortable the passengers are when we are packed in like sardines? Finally, the food isn't anything like they described and they served diet portions it seemed. I'm at a loss for why this airline was rated so highly"

"No individual TV screens. So you must have a device like an iPad or a phone or a laptop to connect to their media service. Movie selection was mediocre at best. A lot of useless programming in my opinion. Also had a first, was asked to put my mask on between sips of a drink. That’s the first I’ve ever heard of that! We ate out every meal for a week straight and no one asked us wants to mask up between bites or sips. Nor did other Alaska flights ask us to mask up between sips. Thought it was pretty ridiculous."

"I missed a connection due to a 4 hour maintenance delay. The worst part is that I can't even attempt to rebook the flight because there is no way to contact Iberia. The desks were closed because there were no more flights that day. They never answer the help line or facebook. I simply cannot, in any way, even get ahold of a person to help me rebook this flight that cost 1000 dollars and was ruined by the fault of the airline. So I am stranded in LA right now, frantically trying to get ahold of anyone from Iberia to help me get to Spain."

I happened to be able to go in with the general boarding but was one of those who was first in line within this group. My seat which was 5C already had no overheard room!!! It appears that 1 child was accompanied by 4 adults when they pre-boarded and in addition to their carry-ons, they put their foldable stroller, backpacks and totes in the overhead bin!! The airline announced a request for people to leave the overhead bin spaces for bigger carryons but does not enforce it. Flight attendants should not feel uncomfortable actually asking to whom the backpack or tote belong to and tell passengers to put those under their seats. Somehow, passengers need to be educated on proper etiquette. Also, pre-boarding should only allow 1-2 people to accompany a child or an elderly person. Pre-boarding should not be taken advantage of by all adults traveling with those needing it."

But then, she mentioned that the flight was delayed and there was no way that I can made my connection from LA to Indianaplis. So I was given a boarding pass with my suitcase ($25 paid) only to LA. The front desk asked me to try other ways when I arrived LA to see what can be done. When I entered into the gate, your CS changed my flight to UA after I have presented my case. However, I had to pull the suitcase out from Alaska, paid another $25 to United and started the trip all over again. All the while, your crews expected me (an alien from Asia) that I should have known every thing get it through, or to claim my suitcase charges. I am really disappointed for the lack of understanding. To you, it may be something happened so common everyday. To me, I was totally lost to handle this."

She checked my boarding pass and I went and ordered myself dinner and returned to sit down close to 9pm. I waited for the screen to change for the new flight information but it never did. The terminal was busy with music and basketball finals.lost of mumbling announcemrnt so I kept checking my flight screen and it still had the original flight. I sat waiting. All of a suddent the tv changes and it’s a different destination??? I got up and asked why my flight wasn’t posted and she told me ‘sweetheart your flight left 20minutes ago.’ I was shocked. How could this happen? She informed me i’d missed my flight that was never delayed. I was so tired and worried and she kept calling me sweetheart. Telling me there were mo more flights but that she’d put me on a 6am the next morning. With my disability I was so worried I pushed and pushed and spoke to both counter airling people. Finally, I got mad and she put me on united. I am so upset about the whole ordeal. That was a surreal awful experience that had me crying on the way home."

This was of course unprofessional but also introduced doubt how reliable they would be in an actual emergency."

Alaska had no other flights available from Vancouver that would get me to San Diego and other later flights that day from other airlines were over booked. I stayed the night and flew out the next morning on a direct flight to San Diego. The flight was fine. The flight crew was nice, they offered us drinks and snacks and the air condition worked. The reason I included the AC is sometimes it doesn't work and that's miserable. There's not too much else to add."

Cons: "I had booked my flight to take off at 2:30 PM, but when I checked into London Gatwick, my boarding pass given was 7:30 PM. Of course there's no Alaska desk so I couldn't ask anyone there. When I got to Vancouver, they said they weren't sure why I was bumped, but there were seats left on the plane. However, I had to go to the gate to change my flight because I had a checked bag. Got to the gate, and of course, it was sold out. And they told me they weren't sure if the 7:30 PM flight would be taking off. So I grabbed my bags, made my way via train/bus/hitchhiking across the American border where my dad picked me up. Never got a single reason why I was bumped in the first place."

My back was aching before we got in flight. Windows were discussing gross with body fluids on them. I'm very sorry to say I would not recommend this Alaska airlines to anyone. Last November 7 I missed my flight home due to the Thai King's motorcade causing the road I was on to be closed for more one hour. I arrived at the CNXairport nearly one hour before the scheduled departure time, only to find CSA check in counters already closed. CSA Bangkok made me pay for a one way ticket home on Nov 8 even though all 3 flights were not full. I arrived well I'm advance and checked in. CSA began boarding 30 minutes before the time shown on my boarding pass and closed the aircraft doors shortly aftethe boarding time listed. No wonder I missed my Nov 7 flight! I wrote CSA LA a letter including the receipt for the one way ticket and requested a refund or at least a reply or home call. I never received a reply. I have flown CSA/Delta from Detroit, MI to Chiang Mai, Thailand 5 or 6 times in the last 3 years. It seems they don't care about customer loyalty. In the future CSA will not be my first choice and I will pay somewhat more to fly another airline."

We boarded an hour late, and staff would not answer any of our questions about what was going on or how late we would arrive (they sped up the fight so that we landed on time). Flight ran out of drinking WATER after the first service. Half of our section (Economy Plus) was skipped for snacks. An unruly child was allowed to scream for almost the entire flight & was running up & down the aisles. NOTHING was said to the parents by staff members. Was absolutely the worst behaving child with who I've had to fly."

And the WiFi movie scheme is way more painful than it needs to be, requiring you "check out" movies using your web browser, then switch to a separate app to actually watch the movies. Clearly the product of a company mindset whose ONLY concern is "can we check some box", with absolutely no interest in "how can we delight our customers?""
Cons: "So we get the same entertainment system all these flights use: some ghastly totally non-optimized Linux setup that was rebooted three times during the flight, took 20 minutes for each reboot, and never worked correctly after any of the reboots. (The only movie my system would ever play was the very first one, and none of the on-screen controls worked. The seat next door could choose multiple movies, but each movie froze after 40 minutes). The amazing thing is: why don't they just install a damn iPad mini or Android equivalent in the back of each seat? Would be lighter than what they have today and would work FAR better. You'd need some co-ordinating/provisioning software to provide for OTA announcements and movie updates, but basically it's not that hard... At the very least, hire a Linux-head to optimize your startup scripts! It's just sad to see this 20 minute startup process (all dumped on the screen) with its constant repetition of time-wasting startup steps that just generate errors on this plane's particular hardware setup..."

Cons: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."

Cons: "Sat in Delta Comfort and a loyal Delta flier, except had the bad fortune of taking off at 830 ATL time and apparently Delta doesn't find it important or a good idea to sell food after that time. The logic behind this is beyond me. I'm willing to pay $9 for a few cheese slice and crackers or a sandwich yet they don't offer anything, not even to first class which would really irritate me had I paid 1000 bucks. Ontop of that the crew which is normally excellent, was feisty and rude and wanted nothing to do with their job"

Cons: "Connection flight from LAX to Seattle was dropped off of booking completely. When Delta was able to fix the changes in Sydney Australia they put my husbands ticket as a standby instead of putting him in an assigned seat and reported that they couldn't fix it that we would have to wait and get to LAX before the changes could be made again. There was a one and a half hour flight delay from LAX to Seattle. From Sydney Australia to LAX entertainment system didn't work the whole entire flight, they were screaming children the entire flight, and Delta had double booked seats on several different people. There were no apologies and no compensation for any of the incidences."

Pros: "I loved the service provided by the flight attendants as as well as the gate attendant who poked, prodded and did what he could to ensure our already late flight took off before it got stuck waiting for a gate at LAX. Thanks to him and the work of the crew, not only did the flight leave ASAP, our flight arrived early."
Cons: "I didn't like that the monitor for my seat was on the fritz and inoperable, which became a huge issue because of what follows. Making matters exponentially worse was the roughly 30-minute delay we experienced when we landed. Although our flight arrived at LAX early - in spite of the late departure from SLC - we were left waiting for a gate and were forced to wait for a gate. Inexplicably, the AC was turned off and the passengers all began to virtually cook while stuck in our seats. Also, due to another asinine snafu (the grounds crew didn't push a flight far out enough and blocked our plane along with eight others, which delayed our flight further. Adding insult to injury, my baggage was over 30 minutes late, too."

Because podcasts are often free (or can be licensed cheaply) and require little storage, system should have last 20 episodes of the best 100 podcasts."

Cons: "I wasn’t given the seats I had chosen when purchasing the ($3,000) tickets. The seats in the “Dreamliner” were cramped and hard—uncomfortable."

Cons: "I missed my flight. My flight from Melbourne with Qantas was delayed. I received an express connection ticket to go through Immigration, customs, etcetera. I ran, all for nothing. I should have known better, for sure. 2 hours is unrealistic. But this tickets shouldn't be offered, they give the impression that you can make it. And the staff in Melbourne, and the crew on the plane, all were extremely reassuring. I got to the gate of Alaska Airlines, the people there could only offer me a ticket two days later. And basically they said it was Qantas fault. Having almost no time and no clear way to communicate with Qantas (the 1800 number is useless), I had to book and pay a new ticket. Now I am going to try to contact Qantas for reimbursement but I am not optimistic. In summary, do not buy these types of tickets "in collaboration" with two companies. Especially if you make the connection in the US. It is a scam. 2 hours is no time. And even if you have 3 or 4 hours and there is a delay, you are basically on your own, and the companies give the responsibilities to each other."

Cons: "This airport is disorganised and undersized for the volume of patrons passing through. Was frustrated with the poor response of Sydney airport go manage an obvious failure of their baggage handling system. No fallback procedure was activated(manual for eg) to actually progress baggsge hangling even for those with connections to make. Disappointed and embarrassed by the defensive attitudes of staff who were given no Support by mgt of either airport or airline."

Pros: "Great flight on the 787 Dreamliner and the crew were fantastic. I wish I could say the same thing for Baggage services. I have a business meeting tomorrow morning and presently they can't even reconcile their own Baggage Receipt number! I expect more when travelling (and paying) for business class."

Cons: "Seats are super uncomfortable and there is no privacy ... worst Business class facilities I’ve ever experienced. Seriously substandard might as well fly economy or better still use a different airline."

Pros: "Qantas is a quality airline and provided us with better service than most USA airlines that we typically fly for about the same pricepoint. We were very impressed by the quality of service, the meal and entertainment offerings- it was a nice memory of how flying with USA airlines used to be in the good ol days. We flew economy so nothing special was added to our basic service."
Cons: "All was good, would fly them again should we need to travel their routes again. We flew 2 international flights and 4 domestic (within Australia) flights during our stay in Australia and had great experiences on all the flights."

Pros: "The plane itself was nice and comfortable for me. The business class seat fully laid down, and there were lots of entertainment options. The flight was quick! 15hr flight from Melbourne to LAX only took 13 hours!"
Cons: "Several of the food items were either cold or overdone. I asked hostess what the deal was (because their food service is usually great) and she explained that in this new plane (Boeing 787) they removed a lot of the working areas for the crew. They have less space to work in order to be able to prepare food and drinks compared to Qantas's other planes (Airbus A380). This is also a brand new plane for this crew (literally the first flight for some for some of them), and they didn't know where some of the things on the plane were. I imagine after they've used the plane for a while and learn where everything is, they'll get better. I'll find out on the return flight back to Melbourne."

Cons: "Boarding was slow and people were standing in line for ages before they started to let passengers board. Once boarded, flight was delayed over an hour so we just sat there on the plane. We were sitting in the last row where extremely cold air was just blowing directly at us the entire flight! We asked a few members of the crew including the manager and were told that that's what happens when you're close to the door. It was the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE flight of my life!!! I will never fly Qantas again. They were a complete nightmare and definitely the low point of our wonderful vacation."

Insufficient leg room better trip on my return mostly because of the plane, it was smaller and better seats..it was a 380"

Pros: "Great selection of movies, i liked that the economy cabin at the back of the top floor of the a380 was more personal than a larger economy cabin. Crew were happy to serve me drinks throughout the flight after the halfway point when i started drinking"

Cons: "Was seated in the center section and after getting settled and buckled in I kept smelling vomit and realized the seatbelt had dried vomit all over it. I couldn't get the flight attendant to help and finally got their attention and was told they couldn't do anything until after we were in the air. I was moved away from my family to another center seat. The flight had many open seats and we should have been kept together."

To make the story extremely short, qantas was not helpful or forthcoming with information regarding a way to get to my final destination. Cons: "Felt like a budget airline. You need to pay extra to be able to preselect your seat. The amount of leg room is atrociously small. The 15 kg. carry on weight limitation is a joke. There were too few bathrooms and one was out of commission to boot."

Pros: "Qantas entertainment system was excellent, very up to date. broad selection of movies and TV shows, good selection of music as well. The AA flight on a 737-800 was unexpectedly excellent, the seats are very comfortable, spacious, and the entertainment system superb."
Cons: "for the Qantas flight, seats were abysmal for a 15hr flight. These are similar to the intolerable seats and spacing for domestic (US) flights on legacy carriers (although, American is now radically changing seat dimensions and comfort on the 737-800). For a 6hr flight, it is not tolerable. For a 15hr non-stop flight, it is punishing. The Qantas A380-200 is no longer a new plane. The seat hardware is tired, lumpy, stiff, back-breaking. This could be improved by more space per seat, but it is not. I am 6'3" (189cm) and not at all fat (75kg), but the amount of seating space was tight. Again, this is an inconvenience for a short flight, and absolutely punishing on a long, 15hr, flight. It was not a cheap flight, and surely some updated seats can be put in, with fewer rows. By contrast, I flew back to US on Air New Zealand, and was entirely comfortable on a 12hr leg on very modern and spacious seats in the lowest economy class seat, on a 777 plane for a much cheaper fare."
