Today we pay all kinds of taxes and fees; we pay to bring our luggage (as if we could pay for a ticket to go abroad and do so without clothing), and yet we get get less for our dollar. I wish someone in the offices actually thought about that AND did something to make flying with Air Canada what it was."

It seems to encourage a slouched position. maybe you have it that was to encourage people to upgrade their tickets. I hope that's not the case as that would be cruel."
Cons: "Flight late (30 minutes) as mostly with Air Canada, fortunately not cancelled this time as also common with Air Canada short distance flights Not enough space in overhead compartments for carry on. The lady at the boarding makes it sound like that is the passengers fault."

Cons: "I had trouble checking in online AND printing boarding pass at kiosk. Plane left 45 minutes late. Boarding was chaotic. Headphones did not work with entertainment system. Drink order was incorrect... I just had to pretend I was on crappy public transport for two hours for a one hour journey. I laughed out loud when they announced on flight that Air Canada was voted best North American airline. Riiiiight."

Cons: "I forced to check my carry on bag despite the fact that there was room in overhead compartments. Consequently my bag was damaged when loaded onto plane, or when unloaded onto baggage carousel. Disorganized loading of passengers onto plane."

Also when we landed in Edmonton we circled their airport for half an hour then finally landed and we were stuck on the Tarmac for additional 45 min while we waited to get towed to our terminal. All in all terrible first time flying with air Canada and will never do it again. West jet flight I took to my destitnation was awesome"

Cons: "I had booked my Air Canada trip and had a single stop-over while I switched to a different plane. Both of these planes were Air Canada. I Even though I made it through Customs in the shortest time possible, and back through security, I still managed to narrowly make my second flight. They were final-calling my name and actually taking off earlier than expected. Had I been 2 more minutes late, my flight would probably have taken off. I didn't check any bags either, so had I checked one, I don't think I would have made my second flight."

Cons: "They boarded us already a half hour late on our plane. Then after we were all boarded they decided to tell us that the pilots had not even landed from their previous flight yet. Once the pilots finally got on board the aircraft they still took another 40 minutes to do their routine checks. Almost two hours later we finally took off."

Always filled to the brim. I've heard flight attendants bashing passengers about it openly. Maybe if you didn't charge $25 per bag per leg people wouldn't do this. Something reasonable like 5-10$ would help this problem HUGE."

Cons: "For a 5+ hour flight only beverages were offered - anything else (such as a snack or small meal) had to be purchased. Very cheap service IMO. The selection of entertainment (movies/tv shows) was exceptionally limited and out of date. Their way of boarding the plane (via zone) is very backwards as families with children weren't asked to board until half way through the plane loading (unless those families had already paid for the more expensive zone upgrades). Most airlines let them load first to give them extra time. My checked bag was 1.2kg over the limit so I had to open the bag and switch 1.2kg of clothing into my carry on in front of the rest of those checking in. What an embarrassment and such foolery. All in all Westjet does a better job for trips across Canada. Will not be trying Air Canada again."

In addition I prepaid for my meal and when the trolly service got to me in row 33 they told me the food was finished but I could get some snacks. They then brought me a variety of snacks. It was my understanding that a meal would have been available to customers in flight once it has been prepaid.. This was very poor customer service"
Pros: "Seat was broken, you can not recline seat. Flight was full, I was told so you have to sit on same seat. Secondly, there was one kid who keep crying yelling like hell, big time headache. It was about 6 early morning flight came at airport by 3:00am thought will sleep on air. On boarding, only drinks was offered, not even cookies or snacks there."

I was with my family and she even made a special effort with my two Granddaughters that they are still talking about today. She is the reason Air Canada still has ALL of my business every year"
Cons: "Air Canada as well as WestJet charge exuberant amounts for local flights. They offer services and leg room of a budget airline while charging prices at the top range of a regular airline. Lack of proper competition in Canada allows Air Canada and WestJet to charge whatever they want since there are no other real options"

Pros: "The comfort of a Dash 8 was surprising. The seats have a suitable amount of leg room which I'm actually scared to mention so they don't add an extra seat to each row to take it away. Not too much, not too small, just right for a 6 foot man to not have his knees pressed against the seat in front for the whole ride. Small plane size did allow for quick retrieval of bags at final destination."
Cons: "Where to start? Dash 8's shake, rattle and roll for the whole trip. Felt like we could fall out of the sky at any time. Staff don't care. Split our group after rescheduling due to aircraft issues despite seats available on both connectors. Said to wait until next stop to fix. Next stop said nothing they can do since we checked a bag. Put 2 hours between arrivals just because they can. Blamed it on the computer."

You go through customs, get dumped outside, have to recheck your luggage whenever the counter decides its going to open. 11 hour layover on the way down, 6 hour layover on the way up. Food options were fried chicken (KFC), fried chicken (Churches), fried chicken (the local franchise), and Subway. Since the layover was late at night and I was a woman traveling alone, I did not want to leave the airport (and still drag my luggage because the airline counter was not open yet to check in to my connecting flight)."

He insisted I will get my luggage as soon as I exit the plane in Houston, which I asked him 3 times . The plane was not full there were more than 10 empty seats and lots of luggage space.I got to Houstonew to be told I would have to go the the luggage belt to pick up my bag, which did not appear for half an hour after we landed. I was truly disgusted"

And, as far as airlines go, comfort should've been 5 stars, but I really could have used a back pillow. Or even a back pillow option (had I asked an attendant - all of whom were awesome). PS. Kayak's regular emails kept me unusually updated on flight progress and their communication was the main factor in my decision to complete this survey."

Cons: "I purchased a return ticket from Port of Spain, Trinidad to Newark, NJ with United. I also purchased the insurance on this flight because it's good sense to be prepared. Unfortunately, I couldn't make the flight because of medical reasons and had to cancel. When I called United to purchase a new ticket, they were charging me a $200 rebooking fee plus a $30 processing fee. That's almost the price of the ticket! This is an absolutely horrible policy and very unfair. I had to rebook a new ticket with JetBlue which is 100% better, reasonable and understanding than United. Not to mention I lost the credit with united because with the rebooking and processing fee, it's almost the same price as the ticket. Because of this atrocious experience, United will never get my business again."

The flight crew was able to rule out fire but said all they knew in the cockpit was that it "has something to do with the wing". REFUND PLEASE?!?!?"
