Cons: "I showed up 2 hrs before the flight. Was told the flight from Toronto to Minn was delayed 30 minutes and go stand in line to speak to an agent. There were approx 20 in line yet only 2 gate agents at 4:30pm. One of the gate agents kept helping the Premium members and bypassing the standard line. The other agent was in a coma as his average person at counter was 10 min. Finally get to counter and they hand me a boarding pass going via Salt Lake in 30 minutes. But has a 3 hrs layover in SL. I then get to US Custom check for US residents re-entering and the line was a good 30 minute wait. You would think the Delta folks would have accounted for that line. I had to ask everyone in front of them if I could skip in front as the plane was now departing in 10 min. I had to then run on a bum knee and was the last to board. The agent at gate was saying we were calling your name but did they think I could have been stuck in customs? On that short of a window they should have walked me through Customs to make sure I got on a flight they wanted me to take versus my scheduled flight."

Pros: "Direct flight to JFK using Delta. Was not aware that I was NOT flying on West Jet therefore encountered problems searching for a way to check in online. Ground crew airport check in at the Delta counter and at the Boarding gate was helpful and efficient. However request for Special Assistance in Toronto was poorly handled. We did not accept the conditions offered to us as one wheel chair operator had to push 3 passengers and I had to wait for him to return to me after two people were brought to their gates. My Husband had to wheel me in to my gate."

Traveling first class, the seats are a little wider than in coach and have a little more leg room, but calling it "first class" is a bit of an exaggeration. It's more like what coach used to be before the days of the flying sardine cans."

Cons: "Earlier in the day when I was checking in, there was a prompt to be added to the list of volunteers to take a different flight should one of my later flights (it did not specify, I flew from DAY to ATL, and then ATL to ORF) was overbooked. My schedule was accommodating enough that I selected yes. In ATL I was called up as a potential volunteer as they needed 3 volunteers to take a later flight that day. I was told that I was not initially assigned a seat since I had earlier agreed to be a potential volunteer. I was okay with all of this. We were told that the decision would be made at the end of boarding, and we would know if our seats were needed. At the end of boarding they called for the 3 volunteers to board. I was the last one to board and was given my seat assignment. Once I got on the plane I saw that someone had already been assigned my seat and let a flight attendant know what had happened. I stood on the plane for about 10 minutes while the flight attendants and other crew members tried to figure out what had happened. My name was not listed under any cabin (main, comfort, etc) even though I had a ticket and a seat assignment. Eventually they had to open the doors again for me to get off the plan as there were no available seats. Once I got back to the gate podium I was booked on a later flight, as would have been the case had the normal course of action for volunteering to give up my seat taken place. Everyone was extremely helpful in trying to figure out what had happened, but it was still frustrating that it had to happen in that way. Luckily I don't believe the delay caused any major delay for the flight. In the end, things worked out fine, it just seems as though this is an issue that didn't need to happen."

The time spent was around 6 hours....4 of them the were on one continuous phone call where we were bumped back and forth between West Jet and Delta. The problem was never fixed and we haven’t flown home yet. We have new flights booked on Delta but only because Delta took pity....West Jet does no refunds or reticketing. If flights are missed you're out on of luck!"

Cons: "The hours that I would have normally saved travelling through Orlando were lost because of delays caused by a storm and the aggravation of landing in Tampa and the inflexibility of the airline in its capacity to give some passengers the opportunity to get off the plane in Tampa. We had to land in Tampa to refuel because a storm over Orlando closed the airport. It would have been more convenient for me to get off the plane in Tampa and have less miles driving to Pensacola. Another 10 passengers were also hoping to take advantage of this unforseen circumstance and get off in Tampa. We only had carry ons. But WestJet had no one to take care of us there and no contingency plan seemed to be in place. We had to stay on the plane and after refueling in Tampa we flew back to Orlando and landed there, albeit safely, four hours later than expected. I had to stay in Orlando overnight, which shortened my stay in Pensacola by a day."

Cons: "1. I previously asked for wheelchair assistance for my father and when we dropped off our bags the agent said she would get someone and told us to sit in the waiting area. After five minutes no one came so I went to the assistance desk and they said they hadn't been informed so they sent someone right away. If I hadn't been there to ask, I don't know how long my mom and dad would have sat there. 2. The man who wheeled my dad to the gate was very nice and he said he arranged for all of us to sit together, which was nice because I wasn't able to sit with my parents since we weren't able to choose the same row when we booked. When we boarded, we found out that the seats hadn't been changed, and the person who previously booked the seat beside my parents refused to move so I sat in the row beside them. These problems were minor but they highlighted a lack of communication between staff and the attendant dealing with us wasn't the most friendly either. I used to fly westjet in the early days when I still lived in Canada and I've noticed that the level of service has gone down. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity and space to comment. Cons: "The counters did not open until 10pm, only 2hrs B4 "the flight closed at 12 midnight), even though they say arrive 180 minutes early. The "SkyPriority" line was the slowest line. At the outset two agents weren't even helping guests. This was a very frustrating experience. Unfortunately, I had to pickup and recheck my bag and ended up waiting outside security for several hours because there was no where to drop the bag after passing immigration from my connecting flight. I suggest AM get another airline's baggage handler to recheck bags for early arriving customers so at least they can wait inside security where amenities abound."

Cons: "Aeromexico did not offer alternative accomodating flights until I waited about 40 mins to take to a supervisor/manager. Then the agent I was dealing with suddenly called herself the supervisor. Only then she was able to put me on a 7am flight with 2 additional stops to make it home in the evening."

First we waited 1 hour to get to the gate, then 1 hour to get the luggage and then 40 minutes at the connection desk. Nobody cares to organize the process so that passengers won't miss their connections. Aeromexico staff at the Mexico City airport is slow and poorly coordinated."

I had to pay for a bag I had checked in online and had no charges at the time and when I arrived at airport he/she would not listen to me and only kept saying "new policy" was implemented on the day I was traveling . Which I thought was very unfair and should have been told day I checked in online. When I asked for his name and poof of policy , he said very ignorant I don't have to give you that information! So do you wanna travel or not? Pay the $25 fee !! And when I told him he was rude and ignorant he threaten me with calling security!! Not taking in consideration he had 4 other angry passengers on the side waiting to pay a made up policy ."

The annunciator was drowned out by the crowd. I almost missed my flight because it was impossible to tell when the flight started boarding. Bussing on the tarmac is fun in concept, but not so fun in practice. The busses were uncomfortably hot, even though the weather was very pleasant. I really didn't like that aft of row 12 you could really smell the lavatory. The smell dissipated a little once we started taxiing, but remained for the duration of the flight."

When I told TSA I didn't want to go through the body scanner as I had received radiation for prostate cancer but instead would prefer a pat down they yelled " Man opted out" and directed me to a side area for over 20 minutes. They kept saying they were short handed when I inquired on at least 3 occasions to inform them that my wife and I was going to miss our connecting flight. We did! I finally got my body pat down by the TSA person saying we could go in the back room or there. I said there. I was treated like I was a drug mule. I was told to remove my belt, he went into my waist bands, the collar of my shirt, my crotch area, etc. then he said to stay there as he had to check his hands for explosives. I registered and was approved for TSA pre-check. I am a Security professional for the Givernment. I am also a 65 year old cancer patient. REALLY! When I presented my letter previous stated from my doctor that I had received radiation you would think they would have a shred of professionalism and just do a normal pat down. The only bright spot was Ametican Airlines did find me a connecting flight to Norfolk."

Boarded extremely early (almost an hour) but sat on tarmac for some time - eventually took off about 20 minutes late. Not airlines fault and likely result of holiday backlog Retrieving baggage from plane was biggest issue - use a carry on to but was required to valet bag as opposed to storing overhead. Baggage unloading was late (again, holiday backlog) but no personnel were available to inform passengers of delay, and bags were not in initial cart. Resulted a delay of offloading by roughly 20 minutes. Was ultimately found in the second wave of luggage, and witnessed baggage handlers tossing luggage carelessly onto cart floor. Nothing was damaged but was annoyed at lack of communication and overall disorganization."

Since I knew before leaving YYZ we were quite delayed my husband drove to ORD to pick me up instead of waiting 24hr for the next flight to St. Louis. It added 8 hours of driving for him to an already long day but we made the best of it."

I was told they only serve meals on "international flights" but that I could buy a sandwich or snack. Unfortunately they only had 4 sandwiches on board , which sold within the first 2 rows of the plane!"

Cons: "Background info: we flew from Dublin to Toronto (Aer Lingus) and we were supposed to fly Toronto to Los Angeles on American Airlines; however, we had a British Airways flight number for both of these flights. We missed our connecting flight in Toronto with American Airlines (we had a 2 hour layover) despite landing on-time (de-boarded a few minutes late). I suggest avoiding the Toronto airport ALWAYS as every passenger must pick up his/her luggage even if you have a connecting flight, and then re-check the baggage with the next flight. Apparently the baggage handlers were on strike and some of the customs agents as well which added to the delays. Well, after going through Canadian customs and picking up our luggage (which took quite awhile) we arrived at the American Airlines ticketing kiosk about 45 minutes before our flight. The computer told us we were too late for this flight and to see a representative. We proceeded to wait in line for an American Airlines representative only to be told this was Aer Lingus' fault (we had just flown with them); even though we had a BA flight number.. After searching for an Aer Lingus representative we were finally told they were probably all on the Aer Lingus flight that was currently about to leave. An Aer Lingus representative was paged to the ticketing counter (took well over 30 minutes for anyone to show up) and what proceeded was an argument (for well over an hour) between British Airways and Aer Lingus representatives about whose responsibility it was to re-book us. After an hour at least of poor customer service, we were finally rebooked by British Airways on the last flight to LAX (on Air Canada). Moral of the story: avoid Toronto and fly direct."
