Pros: Cleanness, efficiency
Cons: The restrooms constant traffic and there are no participation’s or curtains to darken the lights and the constant interruptions
Pros: The flight itself was as good as expected: Attentive crew and competent pilot, good enough food, comfortable enough (for coach) seats, and clean airplane. The seats could be made to recline a bit more but nobody seems to be doing it for coach class.
Cons: The flight was delayed 30 minutes causing me to lose the connecting flight home by about 5 minutes There was no effort from United to help me to get the second flight on time or from the crew on that one to delay it enough for me to arrive. They suggested I waited 9 hours for the next available flight or to get one by AA in Reagan Airport in 3 hours. They told me that transportation to that airport would not be reimbursed and would cost between 20 and 40 dollars. I didn't know the airports were that far apart and the one-hour taxi drive cost me 80 dollars. From Sao Paulo to Washington, things went as well as expected. Once landed everything was horrible.
Cons: The seats where very uncomfortable One of the bins would not close and flight attendant stressed out show frustration in front of the passangers
Pros: Easy boarding
Pros: Very friendly crew that empathized with the plight of the passengers on board. The poor experiences throughout the journey could have been avoided if United changed it's policies and processes to become more customer focused.
Cons: So many small things add up to an overall poor experience on a flight, and it doesn't seem like United understands this. 1) WiFI was down. 2) Entertainment screens for several of the passengers on board were not working. The poor lady next to me had a broken screen, and combined with the broken WiFi, she literally just sat in her seat looking forward for several hours (after she finished the podcasts on her phone). 3) For a 5-6 hour flight, food (more than just snacks) were available for only about half the passengers on board. Apparently its an intentional policy of United to only have food available for a portion of the passengers. It wasn't even possible to purchase it if I wanted to because by the time the crew got to me, they were all out. 4) Baggage space under the seat varies wildly depending on your seat. For some reason, the aisle seat has the smallest space I have ever seen in my life (about the size of a shoe box). It was the first flight I have ever been on where I was literally not able to fit a small backpack underneath my seat.
Pros: Business class at LATAM is really good. Great food and great service!
Cons: The meals are 8 hours spaced and very mediocre for the vegetarian plate. Also there aren't flight attendant once you request them. Latan should have better costume service on the phone.
Pros: Almost all was very good! Punctuality kindness Good service on board
Cons: I´m AA Platinum, and there was a misunderstanding in the boarding. The person that was coordinating the line didn't realize that I should have gone to a preference line... It is not serious, but the experience would have been perfect if there had not been such delay in the check in.
Pros: The Latam employees on broad in the flight back JJ8164 January 1st, were exceptional polite, friendly, helpful. Best crew ever!
Pros: Staff were exceptionally good. Toilets were cleaned regularly. Entertainment systems were modern, fast and good. Leg space was good.
Cons: Mediocre boarding: On a different, internal LATAM flight, they cancelled my connecting flight from Brasilia to Sao Paulo. To their credit, they organised another flight within about 2 hours. But their information sharing was terrible. The cancelled flight didn't show up on the board as cancelled - it simply vanished. I had to walk around looking for someone wearing a LATAM shirt, and ask them about it. They simply said "go to gate 20". At gate 20, there was a long queue. The screen above the gate said nothing. After about 45 minutes in the queue, I finally discovered that I would luckily not be spending the night in Brasilia. How hard could it be to inform a queue of people of basically what's happening, and put up something useful on a screen?
