The move to foreign ownership (well, 49%) plus a new CEO that comes with a mainline carrier’s mafia mindset of shaking down his customers for cash has degraded Harbour Air’S once stellar service. The front line staff (though lovely as always) have little autonomy now. Layer on higher fares, more restrictions, up to $5/lb for extra luggage… the list of awful changes goes on. I, with others, travel for business and financially supported the airline during the pandemic, only to see the value of Quick Tickets go steadily down the drain. Examples: $300-ish one-way ticket is now non-refundable, mega restrictions on changes, and lowered baggage weight. Really? I could fly Vancouver-LA for about the same price and Air Canada would have fewer ticket restrictions. It’s a shame.
