Cons: "The website did not let me choose the seat when I tried to check-in. In addition, the flight attendant was not welcoming because she kept saying that you cannot have more food :("

Pros: "Flight attendants were very friendly and professional. Made us feel very welcomed. Everything went smoothly from the beginning. From ticketing agents through the baggage claims. No problems locating our luggage. Everything was efficient. Will travel again with them when I go back."

Cons: "There wad a7 hour delay in Korea and the staff at the airport were not helpful. I asked them if I was in the right place for my connecting flight and all they said was come back in 1 hour. I came back 1 hour later and asked if I'm still in the right place sand when my flight would be boarding. They again said come back in 1 hour. This went on for 7 hours and they never made Amy announcements to inform anyone of when the flights would finally board."

Pros: "A380 is great plane (this coming from a real Boeing enthusiast). Very Quiet! Coach had more leg room than I expected, especially for a non-US carrier. Good service and great inflight entertainment. The airline is not a US domestic carrier so flight staff might not understand every English word of a request but they try very hard. Most US carriers would not try as hard if I were speaking Korean! The whole world does not speak your language and remember that coach is coach for a reason $$$. Customs procedures are out of the control of carriers so comments about that."

I love this airport, it is clean, modern and offers so much amenities for FREE. The best for my second time LONG Lay over. My firtst time was at an airport in Alaska which I completely forgot since it was nearly 30 years ago. The flying experience was totally good from flying from BKK as it was also a good airport. I also liked the services, the crews were courteous and helpful."
Cons: "Flights were full and of course I had a seat in seat 32E next to a man who was ofviously either sick or had a bad allergy, he sneezed and sneezed 1/2 of the whole flight when he was awake and slept most of the time so it was difficult for me to get in and out to the rest room. Luckily the people in seats 32F & 32G were kind enough to let me in and out (I got out mostly while the lady in seat 32F was getting out of her seat.) Mostly the other experiences were good overall."

We were given Air NZ vouchers for $120 but we weren't able to buy anything from the store."

So we could not stretch out during our 12 hr flight. This was the most uncomfortable experience I have ever had on the multiple trips I have done between USA and Australia or New Zealand. The seat ordering from the kitchen was rarely available, even after the flight attendants had finished food service and pick up. The flight attendants weren’t very friendly."

Air NZ said they cancelled flights then Flyus.com said to deal with Air New Zealand and said my flights got cancelled and that they could not get me another flight. I had to find out how to get out of Berlin. I had to fly to Spain to my cousin’s home because I haf no where to go and did not have money to pay for another flight from Berlin to LAX 1,200 euros. I am still in Europe stuck and it is Monday 4/30. My son needs me in Los Angeles! I will never use Kayak again. What happened to my $878 dollars????"

Cons: "Paid for business class so I could Relax and sleep on the 10+ hour flight. Unfortunately, I was in seat 1G which was adjacent to the galley and storage compartments for the flight crew. Literally, every 15 minutes, someone in the flight crew was bumping my seat/bed - and waking me up. Never once got an apology. So pissed off I paid extra for business class when I would've gotten more sleep in a middle seat in coach."

Even the options they had available on the menu the crew said they didn't have any of it on board. Then the in flight entertainment wasn't working for some people so they had to reboot the system which took about half an hour and I lost my place in the movie I was watchIMG. I guess it helped that they give you free booze, which was helpful in relaxing after all the issues. Overall I did not enjoy this flight even half as much as I did the way there."

However, when I got into the plane, the lady that was going to be seating next to me asked me if I could change my seat with her husband; which was a regular seat. In order to avoid an awkward 12 hour flight, I agreed to change my bigger seat for a smaller seat. I felt disappointment that Air New Zealand separates parties and leaves room for uncomfortable situations. I really did not know what to do in this scenario, I paid for that seat but was in a way forced to give it a away without any refund in order to avoid 12 hours seating with some stranger's wife."

Cons: "Board information, no page for boarding, we just happened to show at the boarding desk and was informed they have loaded earlier. We were boarding earlier then estimated time. After boarding and seated we were in formed we had a additional waiting time due to unprepared passport issues with customs and we had to wait for several other passengers. Our flight was held for additional 50 minutes. I was not impressed! I was very unhappy with the flight attendant stating sorry we don't have other options for food. They were out of food to buy except children option. This airline was chosen because I thought it was rated as a clean, friendly, reliable,relaxing flight . Seats are hard,stiff and uncomfortable. My back was aching before we got in flight. Windows were discussing gross with body fluids on them. I'm very sorry to say I would not recommend this Alaska airlines to anyone. Very unhappy and disappointed. I hope this will be addressed. Passengers should not have to sit in a flight seat sounded by filth. I would have expected my Mexico flight might have been this way but not my return flight in the states."

Pros: "I fly Alaska airlines frequently. Rarely are they not on time. The crew are very friendly. I did not purchase any of the food items this time. However, I have enjoyed the cheese platter on previous flights. Most of my flights are short (San Francisco to Palm Springs) so only water is served and purchased drinks. Alaska has a fantastic mileage plan and the bonus is the "companion tickets". Alaska airlines is one of the few that has a "price guarantee." I would not consider another airline unless Alaska does not have that route."

Cons: "I carry photo equipment in a carry on bag because of expense, damage control and temperature control. Unfortunately I can not leave it for baggage people to handle (although I would love to.) When I got my carry on to the greeting flight attendant I explained I had just finished a shoot and I was sorry that I needed to keep the bag as carry on. Flight Attendant: there was nothing she could do and I needed to go back down the stairs, even though people were still boarding and leave it with the baggage people. Me: "In the past the flight attendant put the bag in that closet." (I pointed to the locked closet where they keep their bags.) Flight Attendant: I cant open it because it's locked. Me: "The key is kept there." (I pointed to where the key is kept. I know because I've done this trip so many times before.) Flight Attendant: "See if it will fit under your seat." It did... but I had my knees in my chin for the entire flight. Thanks, Ann"

Then the seat they gave me was already booked to someone else, so i had to wait again on the plane to get a seat. on my outgoing flight to seattle a few days prior, i intentionally didn't check a bag because i had a late arrival and early work the next day, was forced to check it on the plane and then they lost it for an hour after i landed so i didn't get home until 2am. frustrating, but again the crew was nice about the mistakes."

They did not attempt to adjust the air until after we took off even though everyone was saying it was hot. After we took off they tried to adjust it and said it was broken. It was only blowing HOT air. If they had attempted to check befor we left they could have fixed this. During the flight the attendants acted like everyone was bothering them by saying the hot air was making them sick. They "apologized" When we landed in a rude sarcastic tone. Would nerve suggest this airline and I am platinum with American Airlines"

"I missed a connection due to a 4 hour maintenance delay. The worst part is that I can't even attempt to rebook the flight because there is no way to contact Iberia. The desks were closed because there were no more flights that day. They never answer the help line or facebook. I simply cannot, in any way, even get ahold of a person to help me rebook this flight that cost 1000 dollars and was ruined by the fault of the airline. So I am stranded in LA right now, frantically trying to get ahold of anyone from Iberia to help me get to Spain."

I happened to be able to go in with the general boarding but was one of those who was first in line within this group. My seat which was 5C already had no overheard room!!! It appears that 1 child was accompanied by 4 adults when they pre-boarded and in addition to their carry-ons, they put their foldable stroller, backpacks and totes in the overhead bin!! The airline announced a request for people to leave the overhead bin spaces for bigger carryons but does not enforce it. Flight attendants should not feel uncomfortable actually asking to whom the backpack or tote belong to and tell passengers to put those under their seats. Somehow, passengers need to be educated on proper etiquette. Also, pre-boarding should only allow 1-2 people to accompany a child or an elderly person. Pre-boarding should not be taken advantage of by all adults traveling with those needing it."

Cons: "In the SF airport, your crew accepted me to pay for $25 for putting my suitcase into the plane. But then, she mentioned that the flight was delayed and there was no way that I can made my connection from LA to Indianaplis. So I was given a boarding pass with my suitcase ($25 paid) only to LA. The front desk asked me to try other ways when I arrived LA to see what can be done. When I entered into the gate, your CS changed my flight to UA after I have presented my case. However, I had to pull the suitcase out from Alaska, paid another $25 to United and started the trip all over again. All the while, your crews expected me (an alien from Asia) that I should have known every thing get it through, or to claim my suitcase charges. I am really disappointed for the lack of understanding. To you, it may be something happened so common everyday. To me, I was totally lost to handle this."

After sitting in the gate area just a few minutes, the women at my flight desk announced a delayed flight(flight would depart at 10 instead of 855) The asked that passengers come retrieve their meal vouchers. She checked my boarding pass and I went and ordered myself dinner and returned to sit down close to 9pm. I waited for the screen to change for the new flight information but it never did. The terminal was busy with music and basketball finals.lost of mumbling announcemrnt so I kept checking my flight screen and it still had the original flight. I sat waiting. All of a suddent the tv changes and it’s a different destination??? I got up and asked why my flight wasn’t posted and she told me ‘sweetheart your flight left 20minutes ago.’ I was shocked. How could this happen? She informed me i’d missed my flight that was never delayed. I was so tired and worried and she kept calling me sweetheart. Telling me there were mo more flights but that she’d put me on a 6am the next morning. With my disability I was so worried I pushed and pushed and spoke to both counter airling people. Finally, I got mad and she put me on united. I am so upset about the whole ordeal. That was a surreal awful experience that had me crying on the way home."

Cons: "Because video playback system was inoperable (not an issue for me—I am happy to read during the flight) the young crew had to perform safety announcements manually but were obviously ill-practiced and inexperienced at this, bungling their reading and even seeming not fully to understand the words. (They also botched announcing introductions of the pilot and crew, not seeming confident who was on board or as if they in fact knew their names.) This was of course unprofessional but also introduced doubt how reliable they would be in an actual emergency."

Two hours later, an announcement was made that it was actually because of congestion at the airport (poor planning) and yet, they did not offer anything to the passengers for the inconvenience. We boarded the plane two hours late, only to sit on the tarmac for another 40 minutes. This situation could have been handled so much better by Alaska Airlines."

Also she was not served food at all when they served breakfast. We requested Hindu meal and I was served hindu meal and she was missed and when they served lunch she was told she has not requested prior to the flight and can only be served a regular meal, which she gladly accepted. Kid was not served any food again, so we gave her solid from our meal. When we requested some food for the baby she was given a banana baby food(Kid did not even eat it). Taste of the food was edible(Not great). Overall do not fly emirates with a kid"

Entertainment set of was pretty good on their Boeing 777-300Er flight, but average on the A380-800. The 16 hour flight will not be pleasant for most. Why the toilets are so compact? I would pay extra for bit more room. This is a problem with all airlines. They allowed me to take a laptop and a hand baggage in LAX but forced me to check in the hand bag in Dubai. They pick random passengers for this. Irritating."

Seats are punishingly small in width, so even with bulkhead seats, it was difficult to get comfortable for this 14 hour flight. Note: I am a normal weight person. Those who had an extra 15 pounds or more felt squished. Food was mostly yucky. A few things were somewhat edible. 10 year old boy seated behind me kept kicking the seat - found out later that it was also jarring due to having GAMES on the headrest. Idiocy personified. His constant poking of the screen BEHIND MY HEAD made for an ugly flight until I asked his mother to swap seats with him. Very frustrating. Kids should be in a sequestered area....together."

Cons: "There was a nine hour delay. Qantas found out about an issue with the plane after we were boarded. Initially, they told us to wait in the plane while they ran some tests. After those fifteen minutes, we were asked to get off the plane because the process would take longer. Four hours went by before we were told that they would need to repair something in the plane and that out flight would leave at 755pm (instead of the original 1050am departure). I later learned from another passanger that they needed to fly a piece from Sydney to repair the plane (I am not sure how he found out, because I approached the desk several times and all I was told was that they were waiting for the engineers to give an update). While waiting, Qantas wasn't able to rebook my connecting flight. For some reason, 9 hours wasn't enough, and when we boarded the plane, we were told that there was a systems issue so they had transferred the responsibility to the LA team. So here I was boarding into a 14 hour flight, after spending 12 hours in the airplane (I arrived to the Melbourne airport at 8am), not knowing if I was going to have to spend the night in LA or if I would be able to arrive to my destination on Saturday (as I had planned all the way back in February)."

Cons: "I missed my flight. My flight from Melbourne with Qantas was delayed. I received an express connection ticket to go through Immigration, customs, etcetera. I ran, all for nothing. I should have known better, for sure. 2 hours is unrealistic. But this tickets shouldn't be offered, they give the impression that you can make it. And the staff in Melbourne, and the crew on the plane, all were extremely reassuring. I got to the gate of Alaska Airlines, the people there could only offer me a ticket two days later. And basically they said it was Qantas fault. Having almost no time and no clear way to communicate with Qantas (the 1800 number is useless), I had to book and pay a new ticket. Now I am going to try to contact Qantas for reimbursement but I am not optimistic. In summary, do not buy these types of tickets "in collaboration" with two companies. Especially if you make the connection in the US. It is a scam. 2 hours is no time. And even if you have 3 or 4 hours and there is a delay, you are basically on your own, and the companies give the responsibilities to each other."

Cons: "My husband is a lacto ova vegetarian. If I checked that, then he wouldn’t have been able to pre-order the delicious vegetarian bechamel lasagne. He would’ve received a meal specifically designed for him. Best way to order next time in order to get the pre-ordered dinner/lunch and then the lacto ova for the breakfast?"

Pros: "The staff on board were very kind."
Cons: "Being delayed 3 1/2 hours...but at least now I know the ' friends' I traveled w/aren't the people I though they were. Their American Airlines flight was on time. They arrived at LAX at 6:30 a.m. By the time I landed at 10, they were already home. Without me."

Pros: "friendly crew, plenty of food, pillow provides extra comfort especially for long flight."

Cons: "The boarding process with qantas at JFK is chaotic. No one is policed on their seat numbers, status or fare class. this creates a chaotic process for boarding and securing overhead luggage space for higher fare paying customers Very bad lounge at JFK if used to first lounges like Cathay and JAL"

Pros: "The plane itself was nice and comfortable for me. The business class seat fully laid down, and there were lots of entertainment options. The flight was quick! 15hr flight from Melbourne to LAX only took 13 hours!"
Cons: "Several of the food items were either cold or overdone. I asked hostess what the deal was (because their food service is usually great) and she explained that in this new plane (Boeing 787) they removed a lot of the working areas for the crew. They have less space to work in order to be able to prepare food and drinks compared to Qantas's other planes (Airbus A380). This is also a brand new plane for this crew (literally the first flight for some for some of them), and they didn't know where some of the things on the plane were. I imagine after they've used the plane for a while and learn where everything is, they'll get better. I'll find out on the return flight back to Melbourne."

Pros: "Really nothing."
Cons: "Boarding was slow and people were standing in line for ages before they started to let passengers board. Once boarded, flight was delayed over an hour so we just sat there on the plane. We were sitting in the last row where extremely cold air was just blowing directly at us the entire flight! We asked a few members of the crew including the manager and were told that that's what happens when you're close to the door. It was the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE flight of my life!!! I will never fly Qantas again. They were a complete nightmare and definitely the low point of our wonderful vacation."

Pros: "Flight crew were not enthusiastic about their job. Need to do service with a smile & not act like we are burdening when a request for certain service was made."
Cons: "Plenty of movies to watch"

Pros: "The crew is always nice and approachable. The entertainment is usually high but this time around there weren't many good choices."
Cons: "The food is AWFUL, and has been getting worse as the years go on. Absolutely terrible taste, stomach-churning smells and gross consistency. During boarding I was profiled by one of your gate agents and "selected for further screening" ... not fun. No explanations, just surly, inattentive agents performing further checks on items that had already been twice-checked at security. Awful service."

Pros: "The flight attendants we're really fun and the food is great!"
Cons: "Boarding was delayed and there wasn't a lot of communication about it."

Pros: "Overall a great plane- we were on the 380 going to lax and then we switched to a really old plane. There was a delay of 3 hours from lax which was very annoying."
Cons: "The delay was horrifying. Staff were friendly enough but they really should have offered more snacks and water"

Pros: "Was able to quickly check in and get through security. The front counter staff were friendly and efficient. Minimal waiting to board."
Cons: "The plane was filthy. My seat was sticky and covered in what appeared to be food of some sort. Flight attendant wiped it off, but it wasn't clean by any means. The seat belts were twisted and had food and crud stuck to them. When I changed my clothes the next day, there was food and stains on my black pants from where I sat on the dirty seats."

Cons: "Great service , very caring and clean . Looked after me as I had to use a wheelchair . Thank you :)"

Pros: "Boarding was easy. Crew is great and helpful!"
Cons: "Delay was long. Instructions on re-booking was dodgy. Luggage took for ever to come up and it caused alot of anxiety for many people. Some customers got "Express Passes" due to tight connections and some didn't. General confusion among Quantas' ground staff."

Cons: "The flight was delayed by one hour. Because I had to collect my carry-on bag, I missed my connection by 8 minutes. I was re-booked on another flight and was five hours late getting home"

Pros: "lovely stewards and stewardesses, most needed warm soft blankets"
Cons: "vegan food was awful and poor nutrition, cold, huge plane with light panels so high up in the ceiling that when and if you turned them on to read, it was bothersome and intrusive to others, poor choices of movies, few currents ones, seats, though leather, had been used too many times before me and were not comfortable, had to put my seat up so person behind me could eat aisles so small I could not walk and stretch if carts would being used, aisle handles don't raise so when my companions had to go to the bathroom, I had to ask the person in front of me to raise their seat!!?? Insufficient leg room better trip on my return mostly because of the plane, it was smaller and better seats..it was a 380"

Pros: "Great selection of movies, i liked that the economy cabin at the back of the top floor of the a380 was more personal than a larger economy cabin. Crew were happy to serve me drinks throughout the flight after the halfway point when i started drinking"
Cons: "I would love love love to see airlines recycling the majority of the waste generated during flight..."

Pros: "2.5 hour flight - nothing too difficult they transferred our bags ok - nothing lost paid $C175 for my third bag - because we booked under QF code share. Wont do that again."

Cons: "Everything, my flight was delayed as a result of a mechanical problem. This resulted in missing my connecting flight. To make the story extremely short, qantas was not helpful or forthcoming with information regarding a way to get to my final destination. This left my wife and I stranded in a different countries airport for hours."

Pros: "it was nice to get an early phone call about flight delay and given a food credit for the delay, pleasant check-in, smooth flight, take off and landing."
Cons: "the poor boarding control and information. delayed boarding time and no-one from Qantas at gate until 45 minutes past the time scheduled on ticket and no communication of why nor when we would board. new passengers arriving were allowed to start getting in at gate before notifying us who had been waiting there to be told to get in or in what order. seat arm rest (between seat 58b and 58c) was wobbly. Entertainment movies need newer choices specially for people like me who can't sleep on long flights and have seen all this movies. where's the classical music?."

Pros: "Entertainment and crew was good"
Cons: "I've flown a lot over the years and been on some long flights but this was beyond bad as far as comfort. When the people in front of us layed their seats down we could not even move and when meals were served the flight attendants had to ask the passengers in front of us to please put their seats up so that they could serve us food. Then when the service was over the people layed their seats right down...they were literally in our laps."

Cons: "Having to pay for food in American Airlines codeshare flight."

Pros: "The steward went out of his way to accommodate my dietary needs. The vegetarian meals were all given out leaving nothing for me to eat. He spent the time and effort to prepare and bring me a meal from Business Class. 2 free checked bags is also a big plus."
Cons: "Felt like a budget airline. You need to pay extra to be able to preselect your seat. The amount of leg room is atrociously small. The 15 kg. carry on weight limitation is a joke. There were too few bathrooms and one was out of commission to boot."

Cons: "Only one channel of audio was playing--made listening to Tubular Bells just plain WRONG..."
