The crew were all great, the flight went very well I am very pleased with the whole experience

Pros: "I like the service for the extra long distance. It was very noticable that go the extra, for you to make it comfortable to ease the long flight anxiety. The entertainment system was good. The food was a notch above typical airline food. I would fly them again definitley."

Cons: "VERY LONG LINES AT BKK AIRPORT, IF I WAS NOT SMART AND FAST I WOULD HAVE MISSED MY FLIGHT. LINES WERE TERRIBLY LONG AND I HAD TO CUT IN FRONT OF ABOUT 8,000 PEOPLE TO AVOID MISSING MY FLIGHT."
Pros: "Flight attendants are very polite and helpful. Huge leg room."
Cons: "I was told to stop watching movies when we were descending. I was never asked to do that with other airlines. If it is due to safety issues, I would appreciate they informed us why we can’t watch the airline movies"
In flight entertainment system including wifi were down and passengers got tortured for the 16 hours flight without any of these. Food was spoiled as well for the first meal provided but second meal was Ok. Overall a horrible experience which was not at all expected for such a long haul flight which was expected to be THE most memorable part of my planned trip for family.

Pros: "Crew was good. Seating was great because I had 2 empty seats next to me and was able to sleep much more than ever on long flight to Asia."
Cons: "I had to pay to get seat selection in advance of 48 hours which I have never had to do for a flight. I should have got a warning from Kayak about this. As it is, that was not needed because plenty of empty seats and could have got window seat without paying for advance."

Cons: "There was an extra layer of normal security check at the HKG gate 15. The male team leader, probably in '50's, with two bars on his shoulder was extremely rude to the passengers. I was at the front of Economy class when a female Asian passenger walked up in the Business class ilne. He naturally tendered to her first and let her and directing her to a lower security ranking staff t the other side of area. All fine and dandy. But seconds later, a Caucasian male walked u,p indicating that he was with that female Asian, the security guard got real mad, shouted at the Asian woman who by then was some 20 feet away that next time she needed to tell him he was with someone. When it was my turn to go into the secured area, there were to guards available standing side by side, a male and a female. He let me and pointed toward the two guards. I asked him which one, he didn't answer. I asked a second time, "Male or female", he still didn't answer, just pointed his finger toward the two guards. His attitude was totally unacceptable."
Cons: "The seat was a bit small for me, legroom a bit tight."
WestJet at Toronto airport is a mess, flown multiple times and every time there is a 100m line for check in - the machines do not work for 80% of people. Its a shambles. You will be spending at least an hour before your flight in that line.
Pros: "Pleasant staff"
Cons: "People get shocked from the rush of air soon after they board and close their air knobs overhead. The cabin was filled with lots of new bodies that had different ordour and perfume that it was good to have a strong ventilation but due to the strong air flow... Perhaps tell ppl to keep it open."
Pros: "Very rude behavior of the staff at the desk. Flight was 7 hours delayed and then canceled. And the staff were not able to give us updates. They were being rude."
Cons: "Ground staff should need more training how to treat passengers. They should show little respect towards their passengers."

Cons: "The food on WestJet is atrocious when you purchase Plus seats. If you are on a flight less than 2.5 hrs you get cookies or pretzels and poor wine. If you are on a flight over 2.5 hrs you get some hot in a box. I had an egg and bacon fajita. The fajita was like warm cardboard."
Pros: "I booked Cathay pacific but they changed to China Southern without any notification."
Pros: "Plus section is very comfortable and service is very good. Food is so-so, but included in the Plus ticket price as are drinks. The flight attendants are always very accommodating and friendly and do a great job. I didn't use the entertainment system."
Cons: "Didn't care for the Turkey Crossient sandwich. All processed "Turkey" and very salty."
Pros: "The flight staff were excellent. Very pleasant to deal with and very accommodating. They really let you feel that they were there to help and if they could they did."
Cons: "The only real irritation was the check in process. I have no issue whatsoever with the 23kg allowance per bag but the process for checking your bag, especially if you were over the limit and what the consequences may be were not obvious. My wife and I had two bags, mine was 4kg under the allowance and my wife's was 2kg over. If I had known this was going to be a potential GBP45 charge we would have shuffled things about to balance the bags. It needs to be made clear to people that they can actually weigh their bags first to find this out. My bag was already tagged and gone when we went through a lot of hassle to reduce my wifes bag weight. Anyway, this is a suggestion so that future passengers do not encounter the same frustration."
I was delayed from Montreal to Tokyo for 3 hours and they didn't compensate anything
I think I was nickel and dime how can people travel without a suit case you have to pay for your suit case extra and also Pay extra for your seat I don't understand.
There was no free food on 5-h flight no snack. Small personal spaces but better than on United flights. I was happy with assigned seat according to my preferences. Boarding and trip was timely and well-organized.
Check-in agent at YYJ was very terse and unfriendly, And this was at the priority check-in post. Maybe she was having a bad day. The flight was an hour late leaving. On board crew were great. Waited 20+ minutes for priority baggage at YYZ, so got to my hotel much later than expected. On balance, not a bad experience.
My flights were cancelled and rescheduled. My wife and I ended up not being seated together and on the return flight ANA lost the reservation, and we were once again not seated together, in middle seats. It was horrific.

Cons: "Air Canada induced errors Caused a need to interact with airport staff in Toronto Pearson. Staff were RUDE and completely ambivalent. They simply did not care. The area was grossly understaffed. The staff present were incompetent. Will never fly them again."

Cons: "I don’t like the head games air Canada plays when they know the flight is probably not going to leave for three hours and they purposely don’t update the flight details. Only update every 20 minutes for a three hour delay...."
Cons: "The flight from Toronto to DFW was a basic experience. It was the last leg of a long trip, so our family did our best to sleep through the late flight. The only thing I noticed was a generally blasé attitude by the flight attendant when our toddler woke up to ear pain during descent. Her colleagues on the previous leg had been much more helpful. She wasn't rude - just left us to manage the crying, which we were fine to do for what I am sure felt like an eternity to fellow passengers."
Pros: "Weather delays and the Boeing 737 problems a little out of their control. Some things could have done better, but some good employee efforts."

Long term and all the public and private companies offering service and to me not one of them does it well."

Pros: "Well we enjoyed the crew on the United flight, the food was terrible, and the entertainment options or below average. In the end we both hurt our neck trying to watch TV on her phone. Other airlines at least offer you entertainment options that do not result in you having neck pain afterwards"
Pros: "I ordered a wheelchair with AA. The wheelchair did not arrive! However AA got one for me. A wheelchair person was to take me to the gate. No one arrived! My brother in law took me to the gate. Security was more then horrible! Three to five minutes between baggage. I arrived 1.5 hours ahead and barely made it to the gate! Very very frustrated with in inability of security to be organized to do a decent normal job. In all the years I've traveled this was the worst!"
