Pros: We had two 5 year olds on our trip. We bought the paw pass for each of them and they loved it. There are so many benefits to it. Our stay was for one night and it was hard to get all the activities in in that time.
The water slides, wave pool and lazy river were a lot of fun. The MagiQuest game was awesome! There is a lot of walking to it, so wear good shoes. The kids really liked the nightly dance party. The pizza place had really good pizza.

Cons: Limiting coffee and tea in the morning to only one cup is cheap. They should include refills. I was happy to find out that they serve Canadian coffee roasters Kicking Horse Coffee. But only at a coffee shop. This makes it complicated for customers. Just serve the same stuff everywhere, and include refills at breakfast.

Cons: We had to rent a locker for our things at the water park because there were never any available chairs or tables. This worked out for the day we checked out but still wanted to swim.
The lazy river had no order to it. There were a ton of empty tubes they ran us down at one point and instead of lazy, it was stressful. On the other side, when loading into the tubes, you wait off to the side at the stairs and wait for someone to unload or an empty tube to come around. Someone working at the park should be managing the loading and unloading of the tubes.
The floor plan on the first floor by the water park needs work. It’s always congested.

Cons: The room smelled like cigarette smoke (our clothes and hair smelled just from being in there). The curtains looked and smelled like they have never been washed since they were put up. Even the air coming out of the a/c unit smelled. Stained carpeting. Tried to get a different room but was told none available. Front desk staff not helpful. (During our 4 day stay we dealt with a broken toilet, broken safe, dog barking through night, elevator broken for 2 days). This hotel is for smokers and people traveling with dogs. Wish we had left as soon as we smelled the room.

Cons: Walls seem very thin. Could hear the neighboring TV very clearly. We used the noisy fan to create white noise to drown out the TV. Our door would rattle when the neighboring door would shut. The bathroom could use some work. The light colored tile grout was turning black and tiles cracked.

We pre checked in and We left for sightseeing and got back to the hotel at 3:25. Our rooms still not ready he told us to wait a few minutes in lobby. We waited 20 minutes in lobby until we told we can go up to our rooms.

Pros: I LOVED the AMAZING view from the 12th floor of the Niagara Falls and the Ferries Wheel. Definitely family friendly with a 15 minute walk to arcades, restaurants, 4-D kids movies, bowling, laser tag, etc. My hubby and I will DEFINITELY return again in the Summer. The staff was AWESOME. BEST TRIP EVER!!

Cons: The rooms were a disappointment. The rooms had a strong odor of chlorine because we were on a low floor above the pool. I am extremely sensitive to smells and it really bothered me but when I addressed this issue with reception he looked at me like I was crazy

The bed's dressing consisted of an uncovered duvet sandwiched between two flat sheets. I've never seen such a thing before.
Our room was on the 7th floor with a balcony, which is accessible from a number of rooms. As a result, we got to listen to one woman's phone call as she paced the entire length of the balcony.
The breakfast brunch is absolutely not worth the expense.
Staff refused to remove the DMDF and DMDF HST charges from our bill, stating the chargers are "mandatory". The lack of transparency with these charges is super sketchy so double-check your reservation/agreement in advance.

Cons: The hotel had several doors which said they could only be opened with a room key during the day and were locked between 12 am and 6 pm. This was not the case. I did not feel that the hotel was very secure, and being so close to a number of tourist attractions, this was worrisome. Although there may have been some confusion on our part, the hotel does NOT have an outdoor pool. Finally, although the lobby and main section of the hotel and newly remodeled, the section of the hotel we were in was in the back building, an older section that has not been remodeled. I do not know if this is due to the fact that we booked by a third party site, as the woman at reception pointed out at check in, or if this was just due to the amount of bookings. The newer section of the hotel was substantially updated compared to our area. We had a very old toilet, that actually need housekeeping attention during our stay, an extremely old shower head that did not really get all the shampoo out, and a faulty breaker that tripper while we were getting ready to go out.

It is clean, modern, offers a decent breakfast and the room we had was very good. The beds were quite comfortable. Its indoor facilities include a pool, Jaccuzzi and sauna. One of its main advantage is the free parking, which in NF is a big deal! Overall, definitely a recommendable hotel. On week-ends, expect families with kids that will monopolize the pool and Jacuzzi at certain times.

Cons: Some of the towels were slightly dirty and there was mold on the shower curtain. The swimming pool and the whirlpool are inside the front entrance (same place as the breakfast and check-in), so it's very hot and humid in that space. It also smells of chlorine everywhere in the hotel. For this reason, I think, the air conditioner was on the whole time (even though I had turned the room unit to heat, because it was snowing outside)! The room never smelled of chlorine though. The TV reception was also spotty at best, but ultimately not an issue, as I was out most of the time. The elevators are a little slow, but very cool, one being glass and facing the inside of the lobby.

The pools and jacuzzi were filthy and we were unable to go in and enjoy it. There was a sludge in the jacuzzi because the kids at the hotel were running around outside then jumping in. It was full of grass and dirt. The pool water was merky and the chlorine wasn't helping the situation.
The towels had a wierd smell to them and they were a little frayed and old. Maybe a towel upgrade would be nice.

Cons: We stayed during the Niagara International Marathon. You would think hotels that are participating in offering rates for this run would also offer late checkouts. This courtesy would allow guest could come back and shower before they had to check out. We had to be out before noon so no accommodation made there.

Cons: Overall it was a decent stay, for the money. There were a few little things (in-room coffeemaker didnt work, towels were scratchy hotel towels) but my two big flags are as follows:
Upon our initial check-in, we were assigned the wrong room (one without a jacuzzi!!!). I called front desk and they mercifully had the right room available, but the other couple we were travelling with had the same thing happen... Check your reservation.
When we got in, it was too early for dinner so I called to inquire about a snack and a glass of wine (there was nothing in the minibar) from room service. The front desk clerk said she'd have to call me back, and then never did... BYO in-room snacks.

Pros: Loved the renovated hotel, it improved a lot since I last came here many years ago. Great family hotel even we came as a couple. Be prepared to wake up to screaming children running around the courtyard in the morning before they go to the Waterpark we didn't mind it, it was kind of funny! Cons: The bathroom soap dispensers all seemed a little empty. They didn't have little bottles just wall units so it was a little irritating to have an almost empty thing.

Cons: Everything was extra money. We got there and we had a prebooked room but my dauggter brought a friend so now instead a 5 ppl we were 5 And a baby so they made us upgrade. That was an extra $80 per niģht even though the room was $ 75 per night. The 2 cars were $44 a night. The whole adventure ended up costing us $450 for two nights.
The room's thermostat was not the greatest so we froze.
We usually stay at the Victoria inn and we will deffinetly stick with it in the future. Parking is included and they are always happy to give you a crib instead of making you upgrade your room.

The rooms were outdated, musty and damp. The carpet was loose and needs to be cleaned.
The cleaning staff cleaned half of the room, my son made the 2nd bed and they left towels on the floor. The adjoining room, which was family, had their room door left open.
The amount paid per room, I was hoping for something a little nicer.
I felt that because we booked with an outside agency, we were stuck in the basement instead of the main building which was nicer. There was signs stating there was vacancy, so I'm sure we didn't have to be put where we were.

I have travelled all over and stayed in 2 star to 5 star hotels. Never have I been told that I could no longer use my ac. Not sure if this is an issue with kayak or Travel lodge but this is clearly false advertising.
Also, when the heater/fan did come on it spit water out onto the floor and bed.

Cons: We could hear our neighbors next door fairly clearly, and they were not being rude or speaking too loudly. The restaurant was overpriced for the quality and the advertising of the restaurant (for instance the ad in the elevator for the main restaurant showing Small Plates available when they are only available in the Lounge). Kayak lists them as having room service and we were told this was not true, but if they were "not busy" they could run us up a plate if we asked - from the overpriced restaurant menu only. The "lounge" and "bar" are neither - they serve alcohol and have a few chairs set around coffee tables where you can sit in the "lounge."
The wifi is advertised as high speed, but it is far from it. We were lucky when we had signal, so I'm glad that it was free. And if hearing the neighbors wasn't enough, we looked out onto a night club whose music was clearly heard through closed windows while the TV was on. Although they do offer TV, most of the channels were fuzzy despite perfect weather. We chose to leave early as this was not the relaxing anniversary weekend we had planned.

It was functionally difficult to use. The drain in the sink was busted and the shelf covered 1/2 the sink so brushing your teeth was difficult. .
A room with 2 queens should accommodate the people and luggage associated, and it was very tight
-The staff try to upsell everything. If your hotel includes breakfast for 2, the try to upsell you on the delux package. It's not service for service sake or to be a great hotel, but just another way to extract more money from you.
-Dinner and breakfast was expensive and includes a "tourist tax"
-We stayed in 6 hotels as we toured through Canada and although the view of the falls as great, it was our least favorite hotel of our trip.

Pros:
Cons: The hotel didn't have the room we reserved and ended up switching our room twice. We ended up with a room with no air conditioning the room was disgusting they only gave us a small desk top fan since the air conditioning was broken. The desk attendant was not trying to help us at all. Other people were complaining of their rooms leaking and making a reservation and the hotel did not have a room for them. I was extremely dissatisfied. Hot day in August with 2 small children with no air conditioning and lazy staff. I will never stay there again. Also WiFi was horrible we only had a couple towels in our room and the towels had stains on them. The sheets were dirty and the tub had water in it that would not drain. I was totally disgusted.

Cons: Wifi was so bad we had to go to Debby's and that cost me $60.00 and breakfast was hard to get. Do not stay here. The location is good.

Part of hotel is a separate 2-story building, like a cheap motel. Which you would not know, until you are placed there at check in. When it gets colder, it becomes a problem if you are traveling with kids and want to use the pool.
Parking is not free, but it's not uncommon for a Niagara hotel. Lesson for me to ask about these details before booking

Cons: Front desk was inconsistent in notifying guests of $15+tax parking fee, therefore we were unaware until check-out that this had automatically been added to our bill. Staff unwilling to waive this fee despite the fact that we hadn't been notified on check-in.
Overpriced given that it was a Saturday in October, and we weren't able to access our room until 4pm even though check-in is at 3pm.

Cons: The walls are paper thin and a group of over 20 people were having a party next door. I called down to the front desk twice and eventually the police came. When I told them that no one should have to pay for such a horrible stay...with no sleep! They told me that I could forget about not paying for the evening. Very disappointing.
