Pros: Everything except drop-off.
Cons: Terminal drop-off after hours. They should make arrangements with a third-party service to shuttle customers to the Terminals after hours on Sunday night. Walking 15 minutes at 8pm at night along Sepulveda isn't ideal.
Pros: drop off super quick and easy.
Cons: the front desk customer service rep had an attitude. Other than that, everyone was professional.
Pros: Staff at the Santa Monica location were friendly, warm, and helpful.
Pros: Quick! No lines. Pick up and drop off super easy!
Cons: Pickup at LAX requires taking an airport bus to location outside of the airport, listening to recorded instructions from Midway to find the right phone number to call (main number never picked up), and waiting for a Midway bus. Then waiting on a line at Midway for 30 minutes.
Pros: Online web-site and my invoice download showed office was open until 9 PM. My pick-up was for 5:30 but had a delay getting started and then ran into a freeway jam; so I called to get an extension of an hour and was informed that because of Coved 9 virus they had changed their hours and would be closing at 6 PM. I was forced to cancel the rental at that point and was told my credit card would not be charged. However, my card billing shows I was charged a $110 dollars for the car insurance I had agreed to when making the reservation.
I am still waiting for a return call from Midway Rental.
Cons: This is probably not the way to start my complaint, but Kayak is my next call tomorrow.
Cons: Not possible to rent with a debit card
Pros: Hard to get from the airport to the rental agency.
Cons: Car smelled like smoke. Price was too much for the smell.
Cons: After waiting an hr in line I was told I could not rent the car
Pros: The office was closed and I was unable to pick up my car.
Cons: 7 pm at airport and office closed.
Cons: The pickup and drop off was horrendous. The first shuttle never showed up at LAX (and I say first as per their instructions you need to take 2 shuttles to get to them) and we had to walk from the airport to the car rental location. When called to request a shuttle they told to just keep waiting as they had no idea how long it would be. Wait for what, a shuttle that was never coming. When we picked up the car, I specifically asked about a shuttle back to the airport as the drop off was after hours and that we didn’t not want to walk again. They assured me there is a shuttle 24/7, picking up every 5 mins. No surprise, there was no shuttle again!! And we had to pay for taxi to take us to the airport as we didn’t want to miss our flight by walking.
Pros: I arrived with my young daughter only to find that Midway closed at 6pm. Our reservation called for a 6:30pm pickup due to a flight arriving at 6pm in Los Angeles. I completed the reservation online and did not receive any indication that Midway would be closed when we arrived. I literally made six calls, the first three trying to locate the shuttle service to the rent car counter. Ultimately told to take a certain shuttle to the Remote Rental Car Depot, and to wait there to be picked up by another shuttle to get to our car. After three more calls, the final lady was very apologetic and told us that we would not be able to get a car, so we were left stranded at a remote location with no car. Another lady and her niece encountered the same thing as we did, and we all walked to a Budget location and paid double for a car at that location. We will NOT be paying for this car if Midway asks.
