1.0 km from
This hotel is close to Paddington station and the London heathrow express terminal. Has a wonderful pool, comfortable beds and nice service Automatically brought bottles still water at restaurants
Facility. Good internet access. Swimming pool is also clean and tidy. The area is very modern and seems made very recently, Rooms and services are Novotel standard and I like it. Location is a bit issue. Close to Paddington but not from main area (like backyard) and you need to walk 10mins. And some road is not so flat then you would have a little difficulty if you have heavy suitcase. Far to take a walk, too close to take a taxi from Paddington station.
The Blakemore is an incredible hotel. It is extremely clean, beautiful in every way. Although the rooms and location were perfect- it's greatest asset is ira incredible staff- who were competent, polite, well-versed in their jobs, -and incredibly customer focused. It is a great hotel.
Location is great as merto station was only 5 minutes walk and bus station even closer. Staff was very helpful and the street where hotel was located was quiet at night. Hotel is in very nice historical building (at least it looked so). My hotel room was very cold, but so were all other public places we visited - be prepared. We had breakfast included in reservation, so having to pay additional amount for cooked breakfast was also a surprise we didn't expect, as continental breakfast was rather poor choice for room price. Rooms are a bit run down, mine had closet with no doors that oviously were there before. But we survived and enjoyed our stay :)
-Modern rooms (glass shower, international power outlets, USB port, HDMI port, control panel with buttons to request maid service or set the room to "Do Not Disturb") -Clean -Accommodated storing our luggage when we arrived before our room was ready -Daily maid service was great - completely refreshed the room -Short walk to Paddingtion station and bus stops -Cycle share station right in front of the hotel -Helpful staff -Mini Fridge and tea/coffee supplies in the room -Double room was was small - a little cramped for a multi-day stay with luggage -The hotel website makes it sound like breakfast is free but you have to pay for it at the front desk
location is good building is old and smells ,room was ok .
Location Friendly and helpful staff Breakfast included Quick service when my in room safe didn't open and I Had a train to catch Long breakfast line but handled efficiently.
Convenient location and can enter from Paddington Station. Good for a quick 24 hour visit. Staff was very friendly. Rooms are dated and no blow dryer in the bathroom.
Being right above a tube stop and short walk to Hyde park, shops; staff incredibly helpful; room very clean, large, comfortable
Location was convenient and staff were really nice. Free Wi-Fi was really non-existent; at least in our room. Also, TV had only three channels, which we were not informed of on check-in. However the staff was apologetic and offered complimentary full breakfast for the inconvenience.
The breakfast was outstanding. The shower did not have a curtain or way to keep the water from going all over the toilet
They did not give me the deluxe room I reserved but a roon in a "sister" hotel which is mot the same as the one I was shown. They should be honest about what you are getting
Convenient location, clean rooms, friendly staff
Staff very friendly and helpful. Wonderful views over Kensington Palace Gardens from rooms at front of hotel. Well placed for West End Shops and theatres. Taxi rank right outside door. Bathrooms are very small and tired - sink cracked in our room however the hotel is undergoing renovation.
The hotel was right near all the underground stations so it was easy to get to and from Westminster abbey and downtown attractions Very over pricey, but I guess you can expect that being in London
we arrived at the hotel to find the boiler had broken and as such, would have to move hotel. To the hotels credit, they moved us to another 4 star hotel in a better location, the marlebone hotel just off bond street. So all was well after a shaky start. The grand royal did look a lovely hotel from the lobby, just a pity we didn't get to see the room.
The staff were extra friendly and helpful. Answered every question and helped with every enquiry.
The location is great, the area seems to be a nice one and is close to a lot of metro stations. Everything, the hotel seems nice at first, but when it came to getting the room, we were given a room near the reception with an attitude of take it or leave it. The staff speak very poor English and sometimes it's hard to understand them. One the first morning we didn't have any hot water in the room, and when i complained, i got a manager that was explaining to me how the water is heated and how to open a tap, which i considered insulting. The night after that, they opened the door from the hallway of the room to the reception and i could hear everything in the reception, people talking, music playing, printers printing just like it was in the room and this was after mid-night. When i complained,it was again not their fault but the guests
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Great location, near Hyde Park and Paddington and Lancaster Gate Tube stations. Room was small, but fine for a long weekend stay. Wifi was slow.
The reception staff were very courteous, polite and extremely helpful. I had been upgraded from an Executive Single to a Double Room, however the Double was tiny - barely wide enough to accommodate the bed, which had to be climbed over to reach the wardrobe. Also, there was no hot water.
Beds were comfy. Lots of choices for restaurants a few blocks away on Queensway. Conveniently located near Paddington station where the Heathrow Express train departs from. Close to Princess Diana memorial park for the little ones.

Close to Princess Diana memorial park for the little ones. I did not like the reception as we checked-in. I was a bit confused with the room I booked but I didn't have a problem with what I got.The guy had quite an attitude and told me to double check what was on the internet. Reception is very crucial in such a business. However the lady that was present when we checked out was very friendly and helpfull.
Right across from Hyde Park, and steps away from two subway stations. The main street next to the hotel had shops and restaurants and was an excellent place to go for dinner, supplies etc. The staff was very friendly and professional and was very attentive and helpful when issues arose. This hotel is on my list of places to stay again when in London The hotel is an older structure with the expected quirks associated to the room sizes, arrangements etc. I was on a business/pleasure trip and found it somewhat awkward to work in the room. The wifi connection was hit or miss and there were no real meeting area to go to work with colleagues.
Location is great, close to tube station and to many restaurants. Hotel is clean, staff is very nice, restaurant inside hotel is great. Room a bit small, phonic insulation is not that great, Wi-Fi did not have coverage in the room, disconnecting frequently.
The staff, including the manager Antonio, was welcoming, helpful and enthusiastic. I've stayed here before and have found this to be generally true. The waitress in the restaurant was similarly helpful and cheery. Very nice shower setup. The location is very convenient -- I take the Heathrow Express to Paddington and walk half a block to the hotel. Shower gets warm enough but not really hot.
The hotel was very conveniently placed near the station and yet it was quiet. The staff were welcoming and efficient. The room was clean and attractive. There were no bath robes in the room and the tea and coffee etc were not topped up when used. As in most London hotels, the breakfast was expensive and was not value for money.
