COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type
Visitors from Canada must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken hours before departing to the Cayman Islands.
Exceptions

Travelers are required to take a COVID-19 PCR test upon arrival. An additional test is required on day 15 after arrival.

Quarantine requirements
Visitors from Canada will need to quarantine for 14 days upon entering the Cayman Islands.
Details and exceptions

Travelers must quarantine for 14 days in a government-provided facility or at their residence but with prior approval.

For reduced quarantine, travelers are required to present their original vaccine certificate for authentication upon arrival.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type
Travelers returning from the Cayman Islands must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 72 hours before departure to Canada.
Exceptions

Children under the age of 5 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test, other exemptions includes, a crew member or a person who seeks to enter Canada only to become such a crew member, emergency service providers, technical stops – flights refueling.

Travelers are required to take a COVID-19 test on arrival in Canada at their own expense. Travelers are also required to take another COVID-19 molecular test on day 8 of their 14-day quarantine. They will receive a COVID-19 test kit and instructions before leaving the airport/border. Those who refuse will receive a $750 fine.

Quarantine requirements
Visitors returning from the Cayman Islands will need to quarantine for 14 days upon entering Canada.
Details and exceptions

Travelers are subject to a 14-day mandatory quarantine, this includes a mandatory 3 night pre-paid booking at a government-authorized hotel, at their own expense (approximately 2,000 CAD) and take a COVID-19 molecular test on arrival at their own cost.

Towards the end the quarantine period, travelers will be required to take another COVID-19 test. they will be required to stay in their place of quarantine until they receive a negative test result.

Certain persons are exempt from the mandatory quarantine requirement when entering Canada for the purposes of performing an essential job or function as identified in the Order under the Quarantine Act. Exemption will be validated for each entry into Canada.
