COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Visitors from Canada must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) or Antigen (quick-test) test taken 48 hours before departing to Poland.

Quarantine requirements

Visitors from Canada will need to quarantine for 10 days upon entering Poland.

The isolation period can be shortened

Travelers will be tested within 48 hours from arrival and may break the quarantine if the result is negative.

Details and exceptions

Travelers holding a negative result of a test ( must be in English or Polish)for SARS-CoV-2 are exempt from the obligation to undergo quarantine.

Exceptions also apply to individuals vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine authorized in the European Union, freight drivers, work permit holders, airline cabin crew, spouse and children of Polish citizens, train workers, agriculture workers, medical workers, students and school pupils studying in Poland and members of diplomatic missions, Consulates or International Organizations and their families.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type

Travelers returning from Poland must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 72 hours before departure to Canada.

Exceptions

Children under the age of 5 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test, other exemptions includes, a crew member or a person who seeks to enter Canada only to become such a crew member, emergency service providers, technical stops – flights refueling.

Travelers are required to take a COVID-19 test on arrival in Canada at their own expense. Travelers are also required to take another COVID-19 molecular test on day 8 of their 14-day quarantine. They will receive a COVID-19 test kit and instructions before leaving the airport/border. Those who refuse will receive a $750 fine.

Quarantine requirements

Visitors returning from Poland will need to quarantine for 14 days upon entering Canada.

Details and exceptions

Travelers are subject to a 14-day mandatory quarantine, this includes a mandatory 3 night pre-paid booking at a government-authorized hotel, at their own expense (approximately 2,000 CAD) and take a COVID-19 molecular test on arrival at their own cost.

Towards the end the quarantine period, travelers will be required to take another COVID-19 test. they will be required to stay in their place of quarantine until they receive a negative test result.

Certain persons are exempt from the mandatory quarantine requirement when entering Canada for the purposes of performing an essential job or function as identified in the Order under the Quarantine Act. Exemption will be validated for each entry into Canada.
