COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type
Visitors from Canada must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 48 hours before departing to Serbia.
Exceptions

Testing do not apply to Serbians who have been fully vaccinated; Fully vaccinated citizens of Hungary, Turkey and UAE whom Serbia has special agreement; Transiting crew, staff, passengers and foreign nationals for less than 12 hours; Flight and air cabin crew flying to the Republic of Serbia as their final destination; Foreign diplomatic-consular representatives including their family members having special ID cards and/or identification papers issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the General Secretariat of the Government; Minors up to 12 years of age; Foreign nationals with approved temporary or permanent residency; Members of foreign military, police or other security services; Full time or part time Croatian students; Citizens of neighboring countries conducting agricultural works; Workers in Serbia who are citizens of neighboring countries; Railway personnel and humanitarian convoy agreed upon by diplomatic means.

COVID-19 testing requirements
Test type
Travelers returning from Serbia must present a negative RT-PCR (NAAT) test taken 72 hours before departure to Canada.
Exceptions

Children under the age of 5 are exempt from presenting a COVID-19 test, other exemptions includes, a crew member or a person who seeks to enter Canada only to become such a crew member, emergency service providers, technical stops – flights refueling.

Travelers are required to take a COVID-19 test on arrival in Canada at their own expense. Travelers are also required to take another COVID-19 molecular test on day 8 of their 14-day quarantine. They will receive a COVID-19 test kit and instructions before leaving the airport/border. Those who refuse will receive a $750 fine.

Quarantine requirements
Visitors returning from Serbia will need to quarantine for 14 days upon entering Canada.
Details and exceptions

Travelers are subject to a 14-day mandatory quarantine, this includes a mandatory 3 night pre-paid booking at a government-authorized hotel, at their own expense (approximately 2,000 CAD) and take a COVID-19 molecular test on arrival at their own cost.

Towards the end the quarantine period, travelers will be required to take another COVID-19 test. they will be required to stay in their place of quarantine until they receive a negative test result.

Certain persons are exempt from the mandatory quarantine requirement when entering Canada for the purposes of performing an essential job or function as identified in the Order under the Quarantine Act. Exemption will be validated for each entry into Canada.
